We came by Satomi last Friday night for dinner. 3 adults, 3 kids. We called ahead of time as they close at 8:00 pm during the week. They greeted us nicely and told us to head on over. We got there and our table was waiting. We ordered some gyoza, and edamame for the table. I tried the fire roll, it had spicy tuna with spicy crab on top. Typically when I get a roll like this it's not that hot, this badboy had some zing. I also tried the pork udon. It was a good mix of broth, pork, and not to heavy on the bockchoy. My son got salmon teriyaki, my daughter rice and chicken, the food was quality. We'll go back for sure. read more

That was hands-down the worst sushi I've ever had in my life. Almost every single role is stuffed with fake crab or slathered in mayonnaise. I had to add soy sauce to everything because even the rice tasted off. This is the second time I've been here and it will be the last. read more

I don't know whether to give the one star to the restaurant or to Yelp... Arriving at 5:30pm on a Friday night to find an empty restaurant is never a good sign. We ordered their most expensive sushi roll ($18) amongst other rolls and teriyaki chicken for the kids. All of our food was very disappointing and what makes it more disappointing is feeling like you were overcharged for what you received. Another key indicator of the poor quality was sushi rolls that fall apart when trying to pick them up. The ambiance is substandard for sure. Can't use toilet paper in their toilet (plumbing issues?), multiple tv's with random videos playing with volume up on all of them, and dusty restaurant decor. Also - they do not serve alcohol... can't even get a nice Sapporo or saki with your sushi. Yelp gave this place 4.4 stars, no way!! First and last visit to this place... read more

The service was excellent. The rolls had some fun flavor combinations. I didn't love the fish texture though, some of the fish like the hamachi were soggy. I had to ask for a missing component for one of the rolls. They seem to have a lot of regulars. read more

Satomi is now my favorite place ! The owners are very nice and hospitable and it's clean inside. My order is usually the teriyaki chicken and it's reasonable price and absolutely tasty!! They also have boba , ramen, sushi and more. So lots of options ! Highly recommended read more

I got to try Satomi last week and it was absolutely delicious! We started with the Gyoza and had two rolls (the firecracker and tom & jerry). The quality of the food was fresh and packed with flavor. Notable mention to the waitresses and owners who were all so nice, helpful, and welcoming. Their other chicken plates also looked delicious. I also loved that they had photos of their loved ones and friends on the walls because it shows how much love they really put into everything. We look forward to trying out more soon. The lady who greeted, seated and served us was very nice. She was helpful in helping us pick out what we wanted to order. The food was delicious. This review is from 2022 and I'm so behind. I love this place with all my heart!!!! Their food is even more than a 10 out of 10. I always come here with my friend Lolo whenever we need a little pick me up or just to get out of the house. The employees are always so nice never rude and the food comes out always on time and my friend Lolo is known by the owner and employees so it's always an even more welcoming invite whenever I go with him because they are just so welcoming and it's almost like a family going out and eating there.This is always our first spot when we need an idea for food even if we are not in a sushi mood we always get their chicken teriyaki plate or even dumplings or a salad in their appetizer menu. Boba milk teas are great along with just the regular teas and I always get the winter melon tea. This place in my eyes deserves a higher audience that they deserve. If you ever need sushi come here I always get the spicy tuna roll or tako (octopus) salad. My friend Lolo gets something with eel in his sushi and or a poke bowl. I know this is a long review but I just love them so much and they deserve so much more. Their ambiance is pretty good with cultural decor, good tv, and enough space talk walk around well. DO NOT ORDER DOORDASH FROM THIS PLACE. I ordered a tuna poke ( look at the doordash picture) EVERYTHING is included avocado, rice, seaweed etc...you will pay what it looks like in the picture $16! But when we get our order we only get a handful of tuna and ginger! I called, the lady said "it's different in doordash! When you come to our restaurant it ( rice, seaweed .. etc) should be included. Just had an chicken udon bowl from this place it was fire chicken is something I don't normally order when I get take out because the quality of chicken when it's cut up is like rubber But not here the chicken taste like is was smoked it was flavorful and tender the broth was lightly seasoned but delicious and vegetables in there were still crunchy but cooked just like I like them oh yeah customer service was A -1 as well it's a clean place with a big window and good lighting.I will be back Thank you !!! read more

Tako Kimchi not traditionally flavored to meet the Japanese, Poke, Hawaiian genre of restaurant that Yelp identifies them as. Rubbery and over cooked and I'm not really sure what the flavor was, tomato sauce with Sriracha maybe? Tuna Poke again not sure what flavor it was meant to be. I ordered a few Sushi rolls. Sushi rice was not sushi rice, it was warm rice likely straight from the rice cooker. We got sashimi and the fish was questionable. Salmon sashimi was skin with a thin layer of meat. The moment I walked in supper hot no AC, the lady working the register asked us to wait outside after our order. I still wanted to give this 4.5 star place a shot so I ordered 2 rolls "to go" I kept one order super simple the other I ordered the works. At order tasteless as expected crab had no taste tempura no taste only taste on it was soy after I put it on. 2nd order , was tasteless as well. Soy sauce and the onions were the only flavor.
