Other additions like avocado cost extra $1. Located next to Grocery Outlet Bargain Market off of the busy thoroughfare of 11th Street. Easy to find right off the corner, you will see signage. Private parking lot is ample. Service is friendly enough. Smaller place, though I like that they have booths. So you take a slip of paper to choose what you want in your poke bowl. Pick your protein and add other things you would like to have. As I recommended, get the extra protein for $2! My fave items are: SALMON! Can never get enough salmon with a mix of salad and brown rice, cucumber, sesame seeds, masago, and mango topped with a mild sauce and garlic aioli and it is like HEAVEN! Super duper yummy and satisfying. Best part that made me happy when I picked up my poke bowl? It looked amazingly put together, it was a GENEROUS PORTION that filled up the bowl with beautiful CHUNKS of salmon, see pic. It is such a filling, satisfying, & healthy meal! Nice to see some good Japanese food all the way out in Tracy. I had a hard time picking an item to eat for lunch here but I eventually settled on the salmon poke bowl. For the current setup, there is a table right inside the door with menus and pencils and they have you fill out a little slip of paper detailing what fish you want, base, and toppings for the poke bowl. Not as many options as a typical poke bar but solid offerings considering it's primarily a Japanese/sushi spot. The turnout was relatively quick, I waited for 10-12 min. Price was relatively competitive for what I'm used to. The salmon was cut a bit differently than typical, it was obviously cuts used for sashimi or rolls, but it was fresh and tasted great. The bowl itself was very balanced with a good amount of everything and tasty sauce. I'm a bit of a poke bowl snob and I would definitely come here again. It doesn't blow me out of the water but it's a solid choice to grab lunch or dinner, especially if you're in the area. Very friendly staff and I hope they are doing well during this pandemic. read more

The sushi is really great! I ordered the lion king roll and tempura roll to go. It was my first visit here so I did not know what to expect. When I went to pick up my food, the lady at the counter was very kind and welcoming. She recommended I try the poke bowl on my next visit and even said she could cook the meat if I preferred. When I got home and opened my order, I was surprised at the size of the sushi roll! The portion size was amazing! The lion king roll was just as I was hoping for it to be - so flavorful and perfect! I had to revisit this place a second time to make sure it was really worth a 5-star review, but wow...it's definitely worth it. The rolls and nigiri are healthy-sized and the service is fantastic. Cindy is always kind and remembers her regular customers (which I am soon becoming). I'll definitely be back to try more of their specialty rolls. Try them and you won't leave hungry! I love this place! As a vegan I always worry that ordering food will be difficult, but the owners here took care of me immediately. I have the tofu poke bowl with white rice and EVERYTHING plant-based, which is a lot. I used to eat a whole bowl in one sitting, but that made me have a coma. My wife suggested saving some for later, so that's what I do now. Basically, you get LOADS of food for your money. The little poke order slip is fun to fill out because it reminds me of a kids' activity book. Just circle what you like! I've actually printed out few dozen copies of my order. Someday I might laminate. I'm sure there is other delicious food in the menu, but I've never had to open it. Always the poke for me. (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say this, but ask for the tofu deep-fried ) Cindy and her husband make Satomi a delightful experience every time. It's a joy to spend time there. Doing our research during Covid, we had been looking forward to trying this place and were very thankful they were open. I called in and the lady on the phone was super nice! Definite pro! While we see that they specialize in Poke bowls, we had a craving for sushi. We ordered 3 different rolls, teriyaki chicken plate and a couple of miso soups. The rolls were Blood Brothers, Double Hamachi roll and Satomi roll. We bring everything home, only to find out they were 3 of the exact same roll. They were all some kind of California Roll with tuna on top and covered in red onion. Unfortunately, the sushi was nothing special for me and now we had to swallow 3 of the same exact roll. It was super disappointing since we were looking forward to enjoying a nice variety of sushi. We wound up throwing away the majority of it away. Maybe just a fluke. The friendliest service I've ever seen. They kept our waters filled and the soy sauce and smiles coming. We split the goyza appetizer and each had a poke bowl. Poke is the star and they also have sushi and other Japanese options. Skip the goyza, felt like maybe it was frozen? You fill out a little card with your choice of toppings and it's a sizable bowl. Even though I was starving from a day hiking I still took some leftovers home. Bowls start at $9 and avocado is $1 more and extra meat is $2 more. First time in to Satomi today and we had a nice experience. Tried the Chicken Fried Rice, Tuna Poke, Tempura Prawns, Yakitori Chicken rice plate, Chicken Katsu rice plate and the God Roll. Youngest son loved he Yakitori and it gets a thumbs up from the rest of us. We thought it was some of the best fried rice in Tracy! The tempura was light and crispy and the sauce was pretty good too. Wife and I were surprised when our oldest son a very picky eater scarfed two pieces of the god roll which had Unagi on top, not a beginner fish to say the least. We were the first in for lunch today and it was clean and quite a bit nicer inside than I was expecting. The service was great and the woman was very friendly with the kids.
