Amazing place, I'll be back for sure to try the vegan ramen, the fries were perfect other then being cold, I love the ginger on them, it's hard to find that kind of ginger too. The ramen was delicious too, no wonder y they were packed, it's street parking only so it's hard to find a spot.

Custom port ramen bowl was superb.

This busy restaurant has you fill in a form to specify what you want. You turn it in at the cash register, then take a seat as your customized meal is prepared. The menu has ramen, rice bowls, sides, and desserts. The service is great, and so is the food. The restaurant is on #8 Main and #12 bus routes and is a short walk from the UB South Campus Rapid Transit Station.

I went with their signature Sato Ramen noodles, iced matcha latte with cinnamon and Miso Caramel donuts. I was not a huge fan of the ramen to be honest, the soft boiled eggs were delicious! The broth was very good as well, but the flavors with the pickled ginger, and bean sprouts gave the ramen an all over strange taste to me. The iced matcha latte was delicious, not overly sweet but had a lot of cinnamon. The star of the show for me were the donuts, for someone who doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, these were a 10/10 for me! So good, over all very nicely done. Service was fast and friendly.

Pork Dumplings 9/10 They give the option for pan fry or deep fry. I love that! I got them deep fried. They were great, super crispy, Coulda came out of the fryer a few seconds earlier. The pork inside had a good flavor and the dipping sauce was also good, but the combo was a bit salty together. Harumaki Spring Rolls 9/10 Gyoza sauce for dipping. Great crunch and fry on these. The filling also had a good flavor. Nice combo dipped in the gyoza sauce too. Tonkotsu Ramen 8/10 Added corn also. Not bad, but not what I was craving flavor wise. Tasted like a deep beef broth, or kinda reminded me of gravy for some reason. Pork was cooked good. Love that it was sliced so thin. The noodles definitely could have been cooked for another couple minutes, they were a little underdone. I also had a giant clump of noodles stuck together in my soup. The egg was cooked well. It was a little bit more runny than usual, but still good. I do wish there was soy sauce available to add a couple dashes. Spicy Miso Ramen 9/10 Really good flavorful broth, Spicy and salty. More like a medium spice that you can continue eating easily, not overbearing.

This place was okay was running some errands decided to stop on in. The star of the show was the fries which were an appetizer no doubt about it, I ended up having the pork ramen and I didn't feel like the broth had as much flavor as some of the ramen I've had other places personally. I also didn't like the fact that there wasn't any condiments to accompany this ramen besides saracha which as blah blah. Would definitely come back for the fries if anything which had all type of ingredients I can't even pronounce.

Maybe our expectations were too high after this restaurant was recommended by some local friends. The service is friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. However, we found our ramen dishes to be attractive, but sadly lacking in flavor. My daughter had the spicy miso ramen and I had the sato ramen. I asked for the gluten free rice noodles but was given (and charged extra for) the shirataki noodles. I added the fried tofu, which was by far the best thing about the dish. My daughter said her ramen noodles were undercooked. The smallish restaurant was full on a Monday night, so it clearly has fans, but I wouldn't rush back.

We absolutely can't get enough of this spot! The tonkotsu broth is the way to go. We recently tried their special fries and were shocked by how good they are with the ginger especially. I made my own ramen this time, which did make it pricier, but it had everything I wanted and flavor was 10/10. The pan fried gyoza were also perfect. We love stopping here for ramen whenever we can!

Solid sushi spot. They had a lunch special that I gave a try and it was good. The seaweed salad was lacking some flavor but the miso soup was great. The fish was fresh but average. My favorite thing I ordered was the scallop roll!! It had a ton of flavor and tasted very fresh. The octopus tacos were recommended by our server but my party were not fans. I would come back solely for the scallop roll.

This place is so cute! I got the Tori Paitan Ramen and added bean sprouts, and my friend got the classic ramen, and we split the Spring rolls and Gyoza Pork Dumplings Plate. All were delicious! Topped it off with an Iced Matcha Latte which was divine. We sat at the little food bar area, had our food, good conversation, and even opened my laptop up for a couple of emails. Staff was friendly as well. Will return and I can't wait to try more flavors!

Soup was good, large portions! Small seating area so just be aware of that! This is the tonkotsu ramen which was good but a friend ordered the spicy miso ramen and I had a taste of that broth and it was delicious! Highly suggest it!

BYO ramen with tofu and soft boiled eggs

One of the employees was very nice and welcoming, and made sure we had water. Not sure if that was an oversight by the other employee, but I'm pretty sure the other employee charged us for a dessert we didn't get even though he said he didn't. $33 for a couple BYO Ramens we didn't add much to, and a couple sodas seems like a lot. The Raman itself was great. The soft boiled eggs are perfect. My son says he prefers the cheap overly salty heart attack in a bag you can make at home, but there's no accounting for taste. Kind of a mixed bag. I might get it again if I was in the area. Only place you can build your own.

Customer service was outta this world I ordered eel over rice, but alas they were all out. The chef, sensing my dismay, went on a wild adventure a daring dive into the Gulf Coast river, barehanded eel wrestling! Not content with a river plunge, he skydived from an airplane to get back to me faster and to cook me a stellar dish. His over the top dedication is what sold me . Talk about a fishy tale! Hubs and I came for dinner with four friends a couple weeks back and though it was a splurge, I have no regrets. Everything I had was delicious. We had: Focaccia Roasted Carrots Wagyu strip Rhubarb Panna Cotta Pineapple Pavlova I also had a Freakin' Beacon mocktail. Everything was SO GOOD. That focaccia was like no other focaccia I'd ever had but was delicious; crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The steak (med rare) was perfect to me, hubs thought it was a tiny bit too rare for him. It was super tender and easy to eat, perfect char. I couldn't eat the chimmichurri it came with as it has Thai basil (not usual in chimmichurri, but I'm allergic, and the server was very good about asking about allergies) but honestly, it didn't need it. That steak stood on its own. Both desserts were delicious, but to my surprise I think the pavlova was even better than the panna cotta (and I love panna cotta). The portions were very generous and I was pretty stuffed by the time I got home. Our portion of the bill was over $200 (hubs also had some cocktails and the steak alone was almost $90) but it was so good, we'll want to come back when we're in town for sure.

Mind you this place is located near UB South, on Main Street so traffic can get tricky if you don't know what you're doing or where you're going. There is street parking, but during peak hours you might be hard pressed to find a spot. We walked in after parking on the street, and the door was propped open and the garage style window was open bringing a nice breeze into the restaurant. The entry way is accessible as it is a small incline walk in which is great for those who are using wheelchairs/canes/walkers. We went to the hostess booth and informed we had a reservation and were promptly sat near the patio window area so we definitely could people watch. Our waitress was patient and sweet while we tried to decide what we wanted of all the delicious options to be had. The restaurant does have a specials menu that may rotate out on the day, they'll post the specials on their website before opening is my understanding. Drinks: We both had water, I got a blackberry smash, and he had two grapefruit flavored beer (which was delicious and I'm not a beer person superbly). My blackberry smash was pretty strong and tasty- it lasted past the meal which is a good sign in my book to savor it. Dinner: He got the shrimp po boy (fried shrimp,Tabasco garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, blue cheese crumble), on a roll and it comes with sweet potato fries. The shrimp was beautifully cooked and crispy with a well appropriately coated. The sweet potato fries were tangy and delicious. I got the blackened halibut kabobs (coconut rice, pineapple salsa, soy-sesame glaze). And a side of the rosemary Mac and cheese. The kabobs were so delicious- the halibut fell apart and was tender. Coconut rice was on point with the pineapple salsa, it was like a meal and a dessert at the same time. There were some peppers that had a kick so I gave them to him to eat and he loved them. I didn't even get to the Mac and cheese because the halibut was so filling! He had some Mac and cheese though and really enjoyed it. I had it boxed up for me to have a nice snack. This was a very pleasant surprise. Tangy and delicious and hit the nail on head for taste and service.

Indoor was very much reminiscent of a typical bar area on one side and then regular table seating on the other side. The day we went the weather was warm enough for their big doors to open up on to the patio seating out front. The bread and butter they served was delicious and we appreciated being able to try different breads. The shrimp and grits were delicious and they use really big sumptuous shrimp. I actually got pretty filled up and couldn't finish my seafood stew so ended up bringing half of it home. So portion sizes here are definitely big and everything tasted fresh! Their seafood stew is very generous with the seafood and the bread for dipping was delicious as well. Will definitely be adding this to our rotation here in Buffalo!
