Sushi Queen - 99. Queen Roll - Sushi Bars Near Me - Tonawanda, New York

My table of 6 visited on a weekday for lunch time and we all chose the all you can eat option. There is plenty of space in the dining area for seating. Lots of the tables were occupied. The service was friendly and they came to check on us often to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. The menu has a large selection of options to choose from including appetizers, hibachi dishes, sushi, sashimi and dessert. Our table ordered a wide variety including steak hibachi with veggies, noodles and rice, several sushi rolls, edamame, green salad, cucumber salad, spring rolls, shumai and tempura shrimp. I liked that I could order a smaller portion if hibachi, so I could try several different items. However, with most of the sushi, it appeared you had to get whole roll which ranged from 6 to 8 pieces depending on the roll. read more

A great experience for the price I paid!! For $29, all you can eat sushi, appetizers, rice, and hibachi meals. The server visited the table often and was always willing and happy to put in another order for us. I never felt like a burden for ordering more food. Highly recommend the crab rangoons!! read more

I would not recommend on a weekend. My partner and I were there for well over 90 minutes and only were tended to by our waitress twice. The line at the door was insanely long. When our food finally arrived, portions were small and the overall quality was underwhelming. Definitely better all you can eat options in the area. read more

The Sushi Queen is a restaurant with an 'all you can eat' option for a truly low price. Knowing what you want in advance is the key to fully enjoying the experience. Lowering your expectations is also a good approach. The place was packed on Saturday evening, but we still got a table right away. It was located at the back of the room, next to the cash registers. Next time, I would definitely prefer to wait for better seating. Did I overeat? Yes, I did, but no regrets, and I would do it again :). The cucumber and kani salad were very good. We tried all three sushi appetizers. Beef gyozas and shrimp tempura from the kitchen appetizers section were yum. The tempura was pleasantly crunchy, and I almost ordered more. Our favorite things were classic rolls, salmon and yellowtail. The least favorite were the Classic Roll with Spicy Salmon and the Queen Roll with spicy tuna. No offense, but I thought spicy salmon and tuna that evening were pretty bad with absolutely no taste. I compared it to eating sawdust, but actually I've never eaten sawdust, so it was kind of mean from my side. We liked the flavors in general. The Christmas, the Rainbow, the Hollywood and the Dancing Crab (the most handsome) rolls were all very tasty. Perhaps due to the restaurant's high volume, some of our food was prepared very sloppily. I can only imagine how quickly all the chefs had to work to fulfill all the orders. They still should maintain some standard, in my opinion. Well, that's the consequence of visiting during the busiest time of the week, I suppose. Our server, Anna, was really pleasant. She thanked us for ordering extra sashimi for additional cost (still low). She also complimented the way we were ordering. My dining companion knew what to choose from the menu, and we gave her a longer list of dishes so Anna didn't have to check on us as often. It just worked out perfectly for us. Oh! There was this guy helping with the food service. He was probably in training, or maybe just filling in, or maybe just helping out on the weekends. His mood and attitude were pretty bad, but my companion said I should be more relaxed about it ;). Anyway, I'll be back. We had a lot of fun. Someday, I'd like to order from the regular menu for comparison. Maybe the special rolls are bigger and look tidier? The Sushi Queen is a good place to check out for an affordable dining experience. read more

I was charged $26.95 for all day dinner price on week-ends today. I ate my lunch there and did not enjoy it very much. Very low end products used. All sushi tastes similar no matter what roll is ordered, tastes like mush. I won't be back. Got up and left prior to final item delivered to table, actually. Felt very badly having to pay so much for not so good of foods. read more

I tried Sushi Queen for the first time a few weeks ago. It was on a Saturday so they were doing the all you can eat dinner menu. It's a great value. Great plum wine. Lots of rolls to choose from but I was also trying the Hibachi steak and shrimp so I kept it simple with a smoked salmon avocado cream cheese roll. The crab rangoon has the perfect cream cheese to crab ratio. The tempura shrimp is also great. Excellent service. The restaurant is clean and spacious with comfortable seating. read more

I can say that if you want quantity over quality, this is your place to go. The habachi steak was dry and the sushi is just mediocre. The only thing I enjoyed was the crab Rangoon. It just seemed like the food didn't have any flavor at all. Our waiter was nice though. read more

I've been to sushi queen numerous times, and I have to say they are my favorite all you can eat sushi spot. The lunch pricing is great and the food is always fresh and good. When we came in, we were immediately seated and served, the waitstaff being extremely on top of refills, coming back around to take orders and dropping off food. We had several of their rolls, including the Las Vegas, Rainbow, Philadelphia and Crabmeat rolls. All were very tasty and fresh, and the hibachi we ordered came quickly. We decided on coming to Sushi Queen because our usual haunt wasn't open for 4th of July, and we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The menu has plenty of different options for rolls and entrees and we didn't feel rushed putting orders in. We look forward to returning. read more

We go here every Tuesday. It's good quick sushi not the freshest. My only complaint is that the inside of the rolls ratios are inconsistent and sometimes it's kinda empty. read more

My son, his girlfriend and I stopped in for the 1st time a few weeks ago for his b-day dinner. We were not disappointed - for an all you can eat, order of the menu, mainly sushi roll type place, this quickly became a favorite. The selection of rolls was fantastic and their beef teriyaki was also great. Service was smooth and efficient. We went about 3:30ish on a Sunday afternoon - by the time we left, there was a line waiting for a table. We all said it was a new sushi favorite and that we want to go back read more

This restaurant is great. It's all you can eat sushi, hibachi with appetizers and dessert. The food doesnt seem to be cheaply made or prepared. Everything is always delicious. I've been 4x in the last few months and my kids love it. The servers were quick getting my order and adding things to my order. The restaurant is always packed and I understand why. Great food and the salmon is fresh. They service was okay because they didn't not English so it was hard to communicate sometimes. The restaurant looks are great and the booths are great. Well worth a visit to sushi queen, great price for all of the food they offer. All of the food is decent, I've had better sushi, but for $26 I think it's hard to beat. We finally got to Sushi Queen. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with an 'all you can eat' sushi. Was it the best I ever had? No. Was it good? Yes! We were aware of the fact that they'd charge extra for any food left, so we wanted to be careful when ordering. We started with the seaweed salad and edamane to munch on while waiting for our sushi. Then we moved on with ordering 3 rolls. I tried to remember all we ordered but sadly don't. I did enjoy the eel roll, one of my favorites. On to the specials menu. I really liked the Volcano roll which included deep fried fish. Not something I'd normally ordered but was very good. Service was good. Our server checked in enough that we were able to order everything we wanted. Overall good meal. I'll definitely go back. 2024-5 read more

Sushi Queen is as unintimidating as it gets when it comes to trying sushi or going out for sushi with friends. They have hibachi grill and fried rice for those who don't want to try a roll and plenty of cooked roll options. Everything was fresh and well cooked. Big parking lot. Clean place with lots of booths. Comfortable, quick and very friendly service. I don't eat raw fish, and I loved it here. My favorites were Volcano Roll, Rock n Roll, Tiger Roll and Summer roll. Other rolls were good too along with the Toasted Eel and Veg Tempura. We're definitely coming back. read more

I really enjoy their lunch special prices during the weekdays. You can get AYCE sushi for $16 per person during lunch time on the weekdays which is great. The portions are a little small but what I like despite that is that there is good fish to rice ratio. There isn't that much rice and the rolls are good too. A decent variety selection of the rolls. The service is good and the ambiance is cute, modern japanese. At the end, you get complimentary ice cream. I would come again for some affordable ayce sushi! read more

Finally got a chance to check out this all-you-can-eat sushi place and it did not disappoint in terms of quality and options. Went for lunch, which is $16 before tax for adults and drinks are extra, but reasonably priced. There was no wait to be seated and we were able to order as soon as we sat down for our first round of out seaweed salad and Crab Rangoons, which came out about 5 minutes afterwards. Don't know if it was slower than usual since it was the day after Christmas but I was impressed. Over the course of lunch, my partner and I got several rounds of sushi, other appetizers, and dessert. They also had some noodles and rice dishes as well if you're not a big sushi person. Our server was friendly and helpful with deciding on some options and really the only ding was some delays towards the end of our time where there was a back up in the kitchen or something because it took about 15 minutes to get the last order after putting it in twice. It came out from a different staffer, who had several orders on a cart to drop at different tables, so my guess is people were on breaks. Overall, definitely worth the price for lunch for the amount and quality of food can get, but be mindful they do have a no waste policy where you'll be charged for any stuff you don't eat. Don't know how strict that is since we did eat everything, lol. read more

The all-you-can-eat sushi, hibachi, appetizers, and more options offers an incredible variety, and the price is very fair considering the extensive menu. Everything is cooked to order, ensuring each dish is fresh and delicious. I do suggest skipping the noodles, as they lacked flavor compared to the other fantastic offerings. The dining area is spacious and impeccably clean, making for a pleasant atmosphere. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and handled a difficult situation with a Karen (who even threatened to call the news!) with such grace and professionalism. Their calm demeanor really added to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for great sushi and wonderful service, Sushi Queen is definitely the place to go! read more

I have to visit this place again. It was extremely busy when I went here. I was alone and was seated immediately. It could and should have been cleaner. There was on the seat and under my table and I had to rewipe my table. I ordered the chicken, shrimp and steak hibachi, with fried rice and crab Rangoon as the appetizer. I left before ever receiving my appetizer and I asked for it twice. The first order of hibachi was good the rice was not it was ever cooked and kind of mushy. The second round was absolutely nothing like the first. It was over cooked. The food was salty, the meat was card the shrimp was hard the vegetables were limp and mushy. The shrimp was chopped into small pieces, the steak and chicken was as well. I definitely did not like that. The food being over cooked and salty, It ruined my appetite. Because the first round was actually good is why I'll try them again but this time I'll try them during lunch hours. read more

This place is so good. I've passed it several times but never went. My husband decided to go here for a little date night. It was really good. We were seated almost immediately and handed menus to look over. The basics are that you can order a standard meal or do the all you can eat option. We did all you could eat. There was a bit of a learning curve. It's not like a standard buffet where you get up and get what you want. Instead, you tell your waitress or waiter what you want, and they bring it out to you. When you finish that round, you pick something else and repeat. The part we learned quickly is that they have a waste policy. If you don't finish what you order, you're charged for it. It's not stated exactly how they determine what to charge you, but if there are less than 50% of what you started with, they'll negotiate a little bit. I didn't like a few things, and I asked how much the charge was, and the manager came over and kindly told me he wasn't going to charge me some crazy price, but he had to charge me. I was fine with that. Didn't anticipate a break because I ate half or moat of the things. It was very nice of him, though. It was a great meal and I would love to go again. read more

Service is sloooowwwww. Everyone moves at this pace. Food is mediocre. Go to Saika Sushi instead.

Overpriced and no where near the quality of Wegmans. Upon entering there isn't any pleasant food smells - there's really no smell - you'd want to smell some type of yummy food aroma -- there's none really. I will also say that the rest rooms were very clean. The atmosphere was just okay - booths and tables - not very cozy. The wait person was fabulous - she was very attentive and had good suggestions and definitely went the extra mile. The all you can eat concept is tricky - if you leave too much they'll charge you for the entree price so be sure to only order what you'll actually eat - which I was fine with as to avoid food waste. It just wasn't that good. What I have pictured is the crab salad which was imitation crab - nope. Next time I'm in the mood for sushi I'll go to my tries and true Wegmans. read more

The food here was okay but the service was incredibly slow. We would see our food sitting for 5-10 minutes where the sushi chefs were before it would be brought to our table, plates were left on our table for a long time before being collected and we rarely saw our server. I'd give the food a 3 and the service a 2. They had some interesting specialty rolls. Honestly I'd much rather drive to Saika (very similar restaurant in Cheektowaga) any day, they're so much better. read more

This is an All You Can Eat restaurant where you can order repeat orders and they are brought to you by a server. We came here on a Tuesday in the late afternoon and they weren't busy. The restaurant is new, clean, and spacious. It is located in the Del-Ton Plaza in Tonawanda and there is plenty of parking. We were seated right away and our server was very sweet and efficient. I ordered the Hibachi Steak, which I found to be disappointing. The steak was well done and not as tender as I would have liked. The fried rice that accompanied it was bland. The other members of my party liked what they ordered, especially the sushi. read more

My dad and I had a wonderful meal at Sushi Queen. It is new to the area, but seems to be a chain. The inside is clean and casual. We decided to come on the weekend for lunch, and they were serving off of the dinner menu (understandable for a weekend). The place was buzzing and more than half the tables were full, even though we were there before noon. Definitely a good sign! Our server was kind and attentive as we figured out what we wanted. We started with miso soup, had shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, crab salad, seaweed salad, crab Rangoon, edamame, and so much sushi! They had a collection of specialty rolls on the back that were included in the lunch, and I would highly recommend those. My favorite was the Love Roll. I didn't love the crab meat roll from the front of the menu because it was just imitation crab, but my criticisms of this place are few and far between. It was so nice to see my dad so happy that he could try everything on the menu that he wanted. They do have a no food waste policy. So, you need to eat everything that you order, or there is some sort of takeout fee (not sure if the specifics). They did not make us feel weird about the fact that we ordered a ton. We were both very happy campers! I am really glad that the Kenmore/Tonawanda area has such a great sushi option now. Before this, we were driving pretty far to get good sushi. I plan on popping back when I'm next in town! read more

After some shopping, shrimp tempura sounded good, so this seemed the most logical next stop. We had the option of paying off the menu or all-you-can-eat and chose all-you-can-eat. We tried our best to eat our money's worth, as you can see from our order & photos. In total, we had an Orchard Roll, a Miso soup, a Black Pepper Tuna, a Shrimp Shumai Dumpling, 2 orders of Crab Rangoon, 2 orders of veggie fried rice, 4 orders of Tempura Shrimp, an order of Hibachi Steak and an order of Hibachi Shrimp. The fried foods took the longest time from order to receipt, but everything was hot and fresh. The only downfall was that there was no hot tea available. I consider hot tea a staple when I'm enjoying Asian food. My dining companion & I were both pleased, and we'd be happy to return for another delicious meal. read more

Saw there was a grand opening and was in the mood for some sushi. So my husband and I stopped in. We stopped in and we left full and happy. This business is all you can eat, not buffet style, but off the menu. There is a unique variety of hibachi, dim sum, sushi and of course Maki sushi rolls. All of the items are fresh and made to order. Absolutely loved the hibachi steak! It was so tender and flavorful! I will definitely be coming back and will just order PLATES full of that steak! The housemade dipping sauces went well with everything we had, and we ordered a lot! Nothing disappointed. Be warned tho, do not order more than you can handle or go with a group. This business will charge you extra for anything left on your plate by weight. I appreciate this policy because it does cut down on food waste. Will definitely be back! It's nice to see a sushi spot in the Tonawanda area! They offer all you can eat but I only grabbed takeout on this visit. I ordered a spicy California and a spicy shrimp roll.
