Seaweed Salad - one of my favorites

Great spot to grab a work lunch. The sushi was very fresh and tightly rolled. Loved the crunch of the seaweed salad. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu. (A lot of steak and shrimp lunch specials were ordered and all were big portions and very flavorful).

First time here as a recommendation from my brother! Everything was delicious and the customer service was incredible! I ordered the Philadelphia Roll (Note - I had them swap out the cucumber for avocado). My bros got various steak dishes and enjoyed them too. Shall definitely be back - Mrs Arizona United States 2024 & Family!

My nephews choose Kyoto as the go-to place for their birthday dinner every year. We went on a Wednesday night around 5pm and were seated right away (group of 7). The wait staff was friendly and quick. It seemed like within 10 minutes of being seated we had drinks, placed our orders, our starters were out (miso soup & salad) and the chef was at the table ready to put on a show. We all ordered hibachi dinners except my mom because she has gluten & soy allergies. The waitress was very helpful in finding options that she could eat. She ordered an asparagus roll & avocado salad. The steaks were cooked up to everyone's liking and the shrimp were a good size. The only complaint I have is that the veggies were kind of liquidy... they may have needed less sauce or to be cooked slightly longer to get rid of some of the liquid. The chef was friendly and sang happy birthday for my nephews. The wait staff also came out after our main meal with dessert for my nephews and to sing happy birthday with a drum and gong. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the food.

Great place for any occasion especially special ones. Traditional hibachi dinners and sushi. Large portions, good prices, great service and fun atmosphere.

On the hibachi side: Dinner and a show: Great for special occasions, like a child's birthday dinner with family! On the regular table side: Exquisite food, plated attractively. I love sushi for the low fat/high protein, and how easy it is to control portion size. Lunch specials daily 11:30-2:30, including a bento box for $15. The ambiance is among the most elegant in Buffalo, with hardwood floors or slate floors, lacquered wood on the ceilings, wainscotting, and window frames, and comfortable booths. Great place for a date, or to bring friends to unwind. Full bar, with Sapporo, Samuel Adams, and Big Spade IPA on tap. Free parking in a private lot around the building; well-lit at night. Very friendly service: The wait staff and the manager checked on us to see that all was well.

Nothing is better than good hibachi, am I right? Grilled shrimp and chicken, fried rice, yummy veggies. Good hibachi is like a big old fat hug. Which is why if you're craving hibachi, you should stay as far away from this place as humanly possible. The fried rice had nothing in it and was soggy. It could barely be called rice. The shrimp and chicken had clearly been sitting out for quite some time by the time it was delivered to my house. It was expensive, it was cold, it was terrible, and it ruined my whole day. This place is so bad. I got delivery a couple months ago and I'm still get mad thinking about it. I have to drive past there on the way to work and every time I see their sign I send them a silent curse. Avoid this place like the plague or be prepared to get the plague delivered to you, cold and an edible. Don't say I didn't warn you! Zero stars!

Always a good time and food is always phenomenal. There was no wait which was surprising for a Friday night but we also sat in a booth. Waitress was really nice and kept checking in to see if we were ready to order. Everything looked so good that I couldn't make up my mind.

Went here for my birthday dinner yesterday and woke up sick today! I do not eat red meat and neither does my girlfriend. The steak that a friend ordered was cooked on the same grill with the same utensils as our chicken was cooked and shrimp were cooked. It is a smaller place and service is fast. However, that really ruined the experience for us.

Kyoto is a standard Japanese restaurant that offers hibachi. I've done sit down as well as hibachi. I've had a couple of their sushi rolls and I think they're alright. I also find their prices relatively high like $7-$8 per roll is a little pricey. I prefer their hibachi more. They're always busy on the weekend. I like the shrimp and scallop combo. The service is pretty standard. Never had an issue.

We love it here! My fiance and I came here for our anniversary and got the hibachi. It's so fun watching them cook the food! The staff is so friendly and it was entertaining. The food is always amazing. My fiance and I both got the chicken and steak and everything was cooked perfectly! We were immediately taken to a table and got our drink and food orders taken within a few minutes. Each meal comes with soup and salad and shrimp. We had a great time!

They also have a large menu (some might complain its too large, lol). They have a variety of Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and other Asian dishes. They also have samosas, which was unexpected. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Curry Ramen, which was phenomenal. I also appreciated how the chicken was marinated and cut as they do in Japan. They also have the three major kinds of Ramen (Shoyu, Miso, and Tonkutsu). This place looks far from fancy, but its great to stop by for a nice authentic meal.

We came here because we wanted to try somewhere none of us had been before and everyone had a fantastic meal. The inside was larger than we expected and very clean. Our entrees included chicken pad Thai, red curry duck, Massaman curry and tofu pad see ew. The portions were large enough for all off to have leftovers even after we had eaten our fill. I wish I had ordered the Massaman curry for myself, but I guess I'll just have to come back for more!

Once I did sit at the sushi bar, but it wasn't the experience I expected as it is toward the back of the restaurant which is a bit dark and the chefs are not as engaging as I have experienced in larger cities with high end sushi restaurants. The booths are fine if you are with someone, but I will add the ambiance in the customer seating area overall is a bit dark - I don't know if this is supposed to set some mood but it could use a refresh. Recently, I have been coming for lunch on my own so this review will focus on my takeout experience. Here's my routine - first I check their specials board at the entrance because there is always something interesting listed, full details of what is in it and the price. Usually no more than $15.95 for a unique roll. Maybe a bit pricy for lunch but I have found they are very good and flavorful so a little take out splurge is ok. Yesterday didn't disappoint, I ordered the "April Roll" which was black pepper crusted tuna, cucumber, and egg custard with soybean paper wrap with avocado on top and a white cream sauce over it that made it a 'wetter' role which I love. At $14.95 I thought it was reasonable and the attendant/greeter at the front (sorry I don't know your name) highly recommended it so I decided to try it. A note on his customer service, his is very good. He is patient, helpful and attentive. My experience overall with service has been ok - sometimes at the tables they only have 1 server who can be overwhelmed, but they do their best. Since I have not dined in for awhile, I don't know if this is still true but I wanted to mention that at least they TRY to give good customer service. While I waited for my 'to go' roll, I ordered and he served me a salad and drink that at the front tables where you pick up the orders. To be honest. when on my own I like eating at this spot the best. It's bright from the large front windows, and the attendant is right there to get anything you need and brings your order to you. Plus you get a view of the people coming and going, sort of entertaining actually. As for the salad, I was thinking seaweed salad but ended up with romaine and ginger dressing, which was simple and ok except the romaine was not chopped small enough so I had to cut it up. Next time I will be sure to clarify my salad order. After I finished my salad and drink, my roll order was ready to go. I looked in the bag and I couldn't wait to try it. I seriously considered just opening and eating it right there! But I made it back to work and it was absolutely delicious! So much that I considered going back for another! But I was a bit full from a healthy and delicious "to go" lunch for under $20.00 (not including tip). And yes, I did tip the attendant.

Since my last visit, it's been continuously a fun and very affordable place. Don't expect exceptional quality, because it's still mostly about quantity. Some of the special rolls look pretty amazing, but we tried to avoid spicy tuna, spicy salmon etc., and crunchy toppings. Those are the components which are generously used and add volume. Also, be prepared to eat too much rice, although we tried not to. My favorite rolls were Coral and King. The Yellowtail Jalapeno was cut very thin, but with Pepper Tuna is a must to order. The Rainbow Roll could have had more fish, then I wouldn't complain about its appearance ;). We didn't have anything from the 'Kitchen Entrees' focusing just on the sushi menu. Besides Salmon Bites, which we both agreed tasted a little bit fishy, everything was fresh and very good. They were out of ice cream, the only dessert that wasn't even on the menu. Our servers, led by Kaley, were great.
