European Wax Center in Mountain View popped up and they were open at 8am. AMAZING..I booked the 8am appointment to wax my upper lip and eyebrows. Jennifer was my specialist. She was super nice and did a great job on my eyebrows and upper lip. If I'm back in the area and it's time for me to get my eyebrows and upper lip back I will definitely book with Jennifer. Ive gotten my eyebrows threaded for years and never had someone cut my eyelid and the thread kept snapping. Maryam has been incredible as my provider for fraxel laser, microneedling, and RHA redensity treatments. I've also received diamondglows here. It's a great refresher for your face. Maryam also provided tips on maximizing results and always takes your opinion in her recommendations. Altogether, my face has vastly improved. You can argue the treatments are pricy, but buying packages will get you a discount. I just think that's how the industry works so always get packages if you can. This place has a variety of treatment options, though they don't offer something like subcision, which is a more-involved procedure. But I'll just get that somewhere else and continue to come here for other treatments. Of course, they've recommended fillers and such for me. Rha redensity is like one. But they've been respectful that I prefer treatments like fraxel laser and such. There is a reason why they recommend filler though, because it does show faster results than others. The rha redensity provided the most improvement in a shorter time. They also have the skincare you need to purchase with ease. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. There is a parking lot, and there's always been space when I went, but the traffic getting there can be a bit much. All in all, I recommend doing at least one treatment here to see how you like it. Not that they are hard, I just keep my same shape and get them cleaned up. My standard service is a Brazilian and Brow wax. I have been seeing the same waxer for about 8 years but unfortunately for me, due to motherhood and Covid she has closed her shop. So once again I was on the hunt for a new waxer. Finding someone to due a Brazilian is pretty easy. They just have to remove everything, so it's not really hard to mess up. Finding someone to do your brows and do them well, that's an art. I found this shop via Groupon. They were offering a $28 dollar deal for a Brazilian and a $28 deal for a full face wax. I bought both. After reading reviews (as any good yelper does) I didn't see any "Red Flag" warnings. The biggest thing that stood out was there was not a lot of reviews, but for the most part everyone was happy with the services they received. RED FLAG!!!!! This is your warning.... I called the shop for an appointment and was surprised they could get me in within the hour. I arrived at the shop and was greeted by an older woman named Sindi. She was nice and we chatted some. The shop was not clean, but it was passable. She started with the Brazilian and it hurt, but I knew that it had been almost a year since I had been waxed and although trimmed there was more growth than usual. So a little pain was expected. Then she moved on to the face... RED FLAG! RED FLAG! RED FLAG! The whole process, lip, chin, cheeks, and brows, was painful. I have pretty fine, short hairs from years of being waxed so it should not have hurt as much as it did. It wasn't until I got home and looked in the mirror that I realized what had happened... She literally tore layers of skin off of my cheek, chin and eyelid. (Pictures attached) I knew that she was being rough, but I never in a million years would have thought this would have happened. I have had bad waxes, but this was by far the worst! Needless to say I will not be returning and I advise anyone who is reading this to take caution. The amount of wax that was left on my body was ridiculous. It took me an additional 45 minutes and the help of my man to remove it all. I even found wax on my feet... where she was nowhere near. It took me an additional 15 minutes to finish my eyebrows with tweezers as they were not cleaned up and I had to buy wax strips to finish the top of my butt which she missed completely.
