I tried Nail Bar in Mountain View for the first time and their service was top notch! I came in for a simple manicure nail clean up and buffing (no color) - I did a walk in and was helped within minutes! I was offered water or green tea as I was being seated. I was serviced by Nancy - she was super warm and welcoming, very professional, gentle with my nails, and did a really good job! The buffing of my nails was an extra $5. The prices are on the higher end, but its worth the experience and top tier customer service. The nail salon is beautiful inside - its crisp white, with greenery decorum! I definitely plan to return!
I had such a great experience with Donna! She was so, so sweet and has such a fun, youthful spirit that made the whole appointment really enjoyable. She was incredibly attentive, patient, and took her time making sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. I'm usually VERY picky about my nails and almost always find something I want adjusted, but Donna did everything so perfectly that I genuinely didn't have a single critique. I absolutely love how my nails turned out and will definitely be coming back to her!
I was so nervous to go to a new nail place after being a customer at my last place for 5 years. I didn't know what to expect but I loved the experience at Nail Bar. Very welcoming and clean space, the staff all seemed very friendly. They were pretty busy, but each tech looked like they were carefully taking their time to do quality work (I was nervous with this being a chain that they would rush). Definitely will be back!
Ngan did my nails for Coachella and they were so beautiful and exactly like the inspo pic! Her nail art is incredible and she is super detail oriented. Loved my nails!
I frequently go to this place because overall I have no issues here, but there's one lady in particular who has rushed my service twice now just because they have another guest come in. Meanwhile there's also other workers sitting available as well. I had asked for removal, she didn't finish and told me the rest will go away on its own. Another worker had to remove the rest for her.
Michael did the best job! He was patient and took his time! I loved my nails! Salon was clean, And we used the appointment system. They do have an ATM if you forget cash
Moved here from San Francisco and had a difficult time finding a salon where the technicians are not only nice but do an amazing job. But then I found this salon and I found my go to technicians! Donna is the BEST for pedicures and takes her time. She knows what she is doing, she is gentle, and so nice! My feet have never felt this soft and clean. I always have a callous on the side of my toe and she gets rid of it. Also, she gets the shape perfect every time. I will not go to anyone else! Ask for her... you will not regret it!! Ngan is amazing! If you are looking for nail art and gel X, she is your person! She is patient, kind, and very efficient while working fast. I can't believe she can do all my inspiration photos in less than 2 hours! She is very creative and I get so many compliments on my nails because of her!
I've been coming to Nail Bar for a few months now and have had the absolute best experience. Everyone is so kind and attentive, and from my personal experience and seeing the work on other people, this is the best nail salon I've been to. I've been consistently getting both acrylic sets with cat eye polish, and their deluxe pedicures. Big shout out to Ngan for my manicures and Donna for my pedicure! They are so skilled, have a real eye for what they're doing, and are just genuinely sweet and kind people. The salon itself is very clean, and the energy is very inviting. The entire staff checks on you while you're waiting and engages you. They have so many other services I can't wait to try like their facials and waxing. I have a hard time trusting places, but I have so much faith in them. Every time I get my nails done at other places, the manicures just don't last. Ever since I started getting my nails done here, I've had zero issues - no chipping or breaking! Their online booking process is incredibly convenient, and offer a lot of great windows that fit my busy schedule. Highly highly recommend!
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I really wanted to like it since it's so close to my home, and after giving it multiple chances and receiving subpar quality, I won't be going back after my experience today. I went in for a gel pedicure and they took me in right away. I mentioned I was short on time and asked them if they can do the pedicure in an hour. They said yes. Then I had to wait 15 mins for someone to actually start working on my toes because they decided to stop my service and go do a wax for someone that came in after me. Once they got started, it was very obvious my technician was rushing my service since the place started getting busy. She "cleaned" my cuticles and 5 mins and took another 3 minutes to file and "shape" my nails. Once she started applying the polish, it became obvious my nails were uneven, cuticles were not pushed back and the polish looked incredibly sloppy. When I asked her to fix it, she called her manager over, who told me to come back at a later time for a fix since I was short on time. I understand that me being short on time is not ideal, but I don't believe that is an excuse for sloppy and lazy work. I would've appreciated if they told me to come back at the beginning of the service instead of saying they could get it done in 45 mins and making me wait. They also tried charging me full price $60 even though I didn't receive a massage or hot towel service since I had another appointment to make. When I told her I wasn't going to pay full price, she knocked down the price to $50. And now I have to pay someone else to fix this mess. This isn't the first time I receive sloppy or rushed work from this place so I'm done paying for subpar service.
When Ngan she first buff my nails I told her that shape was not right and she told me it was not yet done speaking impatiently , and I said ok... smiled awkwardly cause there are three nails are not straight ... that why I suspected if I don't mention I doubt she will correct it. Also I wanted to tell her which ones are not straight, she did not even let me finish my sentence, stopped me with " I will tell you last time it's not done yet.." then she switched to Vietnamese ( I can't understand ) sounded like complaining to me talking to the other staff member. Didn't need to take too much to guess she was talking about me, she was very loud and rude, even her coworkers went quiet and they didn't reply to her. Then she purposely cut my nails skins with the buff sticks, both nails are broke and some blood. I let her know it was very hurting and she condescendingly said sorry. It was so humiliating and uncomfortable. Before left the store I told the staff that I won't pay the tip for her. Her behavior is unacceptable and the manager needs to know this. I walked to the store with a happy smile walked out with the worst nail salon experience. I like the rest of the team but sorry customers can't be treated this way. No one should be paying coming here get humiliated and hurt.
Hanna is Very professional and very clean. She is fast and doing an amazing job on my nails.im going to her for a very long time time and i love her. Donna did me a pedicure with massage (cost $70) It was worth it. It was relaxing so amazing. She is funny and kind and took the time to do an amazing job. I am relaxed now. Very happy and highly recommended .

Ngan is definitely my favorite nail tech! I've been to quite a few different nail techs over the years, and she has honestly been one of the best I've found when it comes to getting my nails the way I actually want them. She's really good about listening to what I'm asking for, especially when it comes to the shape, length, and designs, and my nails always come out so cute. I'm pretty particular about my nails, so finding someone I actually trust and feel comfortable going back to means a lot. She's also super sweet, easy to talk to, and always makes my appointments enjoyable. I've gotten so many compliments on my nails since going to her, and I'm always excited to see how my next set turns out. read more

Disappointing experience. I came in for a Gel-X fill two weeks after a flawless new set, but the fill was crooked, bumpy, and uneven. I only received a $5 discount. I also paid $45 for a toe polish change--pricey! The pedicurist struggled with the polish several times before another nail tech had to finish it, then the manager blamed my cuticles instead of the application. They also frequently push additional services during appointments, which feels uncomfortable. I won't be returning. read more

They did a gorgeous job on my gel-X mani. Didn't get my nail tech's name, but she did exactly what I asked and it turned out amazing. Some other nail salons don't really listen or try to talk me out of it when I ask for really short almond nail length/shape and tend to make my nails longer than I had hoped. However, my nail tech at Nail Bar gave me the perfect length and shape!!! It's rare that someone gets the length and shape correct like you want it to be. Thank you so much! read more

PRO: - spirits are high - everyone is friendly CON: - attention to detail lacking - rough cuticle removal - lacking callus removal - **maybe don't come here for non-color/non-gel services because it looks like thats where they perform better. I came with a friend and both of us agreed some parts were painful, mainly cuticle trimming. The callous removal was also sloppy and my friend left with careless scrapes on his bottom feet (see photos). They completely missed his calluses so I'm not sure what they were trying to sand. We had 3 different techs and they were all pretty rough with the work, both of us got some cuts/bleeds from cuticle removal and it was also painful when they sprayed alcohol on those wounds. I wanted my nail tech to trim all my nails the same length as my shortest nail and shaped, but I think the language barrier made it so that she didn't understand. I said it a few times and gave up because it started feeling awkward to me to keep asking. The points of the nail shapes are also inconsistent, some pointier than the others... it felt like a lack of attention to detail. The total price came out to be $135 for a one hour of delux mani/pedi each. I won't be back despite their friendly service because I think they should have been aware of the cuts and scrapes we got, as well as the thought that it was weird to leave a nail salon with nails of in consistent lengths, even if we asked for basic services. I'm glad everyone there seemed to be in high spirits though. The hunt for a nail saloon continues :,) DM if you have reccs. read more

Met up with some girlfriends for a day of Turkish Coffee ground reading (yup!), lunch (to discuss our reading) and ended with a pedicure for some pampering. This is my friend's usual spot for her manicure/pedicure so I made an appointment a couple of weeks in advance to accommodate 3 people. I'm not one to do anything fancy and was happy with my spa-chair pedicure. Offered a beverage, some grapes and asked which service I wanted. I decided to get the step up from the Basic...Pricing seems on the higher side, but happy with the service and end result. I can't imagine doing this on the regular and the cost if i got something fancy....not....my thing. First time at Nail Bar-Mountain View and really enjoyed the experience. The salon was conveniently located next our lunch spot (Caspian) in the same shopping area as World Market. Place is clean, bright, professional and our appointment was honored without any wait time! My nail tech was friendly, gentle and let me enjoy quiet time in the massage chair which was needed. read more

I'm taking engagement photos this weekend and Ngan helped me choose a design that would pop in photos! She did a French tip ombré with pearl chrome powder and I am in love. Been coming to nail bar for over 3 years the staff is super friendly always with a smile , I've tried everyone and everyone here is great I've work with Hana and Donna personally always take great care of my nails and they make sure I leave happy! First time visit and I requested a deluxe pedicure appointment. My session started on time with Kathy, who immediately offered me a beverage and a bowl of grapes! She trimmed my nails and scrubbed my feet. I always go for a longer massage when trying new salons and thought was worth the extra $10 for paraffin wax treatment and 10 min massage here. Some places skimp on the massage time but not here! My only complaint is that the polish application and cleanup could have been a little better - the polish pooled around my cuticles a bit. read more

Working out of town and find this wonderful place from a Yelp search...hidden gem! The folks are very sweet and accommodating. After a long day at work, I received a mani/pedi deluxe (no gel), eyebrow and lip wax!!! Super cute hand painting of the American flag to get me ready for the Beyoncé concert on Saturday. #ChefsKiss I had Monica on pedi, Nancy on mani and Genni gave us a little help with those flags...patience is a virtual.
