This review is long overdue, but I highly recommend this place for haircuts and gel manicures! I've been coming to Jenny for years now and have left satisfied every time. The nail prep process is pretty consistent and I appreciate that they make sure I'm content with the design before curing my nails. My gel nails are usually a 4-week retention with proper care. The salon is kept very clean. Super friendly and polite staff. I recommend calling ahead of time to schedule appointments, but I do see that walk-ins are welcomed based on availability. I am so happy to be back at Bailey Salon getting my nails done! It's been way too long since the pandemic kept my nails bare, and I almost forgot what it was like to feel great about the way my hands look! I've been a fan of Jenny and Frank's business for 9.5 years, since they were located in DTMV! The salon is always clean and friendly. I have very thin nails, they tear deep along the sides of the nail bed. This has always been a problem for me, but when Jenny or any of her staff are doing my nails I never have this problem. It's not just the gel manicure but the way they do it does something extra. Anytime I have gone to another salon for the same service I regret it within a few days. One of the ladies does a great job with pedicures. The other lady that does manicures is very rough and harsh on your cuticles. After a manicure, you want to show off how cute your nails are. You can't do that here, when your fingers are all bleeding and you need to wear bandages on like every finger -_- It's nice that this place is INCREDIBLY cheap and affordable. Avoid getting the main lady if possible and you should be good to go. I also told her while she was doing my nails that they were bleeding and her respond was "that's normal." Mmmm no it's really not. Also the powder/acrylic nails don't last longer than about a week or so and I feel most places have good quality nails where it can last up to a minimum of 3 weeks. The signage outside says "Hair Salon" so I was confused if it was the right place. Honestly, I'm glad I came because the ladies here are so polite and take their time. The place is extremely clean. Not a single nail or hair on the floor. The employers are all quiet and it really is a relaxing place to be. My nail tech that helped me was very friendly. I told her that I wanted just a simple nail design and she suggested to get French manicure. I haven't had my nails done that way in a long time so I was pretty stoked. It only took 35 minutes to get my nails done. I had to kill some time as I was waiting for my brother to finish his MEPS gig. I'll keep this place in mind if I ever need to kill some time in Mountain View again, thank ya! read more

Tried for the first time this 2 salon with regards to nail work . There is also a man who cuts hair also in the salon . Very nice ladies ... pedicure was excellent and thorough with great massage technique!! The gel manicure was good but it felt a bit rushed and the color did have a few very tiny bubbles on one thumb noted when I looked and felt them . I still would consider going back and give the salon a second chance as both ladies were very pleasant and the atmosphere was quiet . read more

Frank is the best!! He has been cutting my hair for over 15 years now and is the one guy I would go back to anytime I'm back home. He has cut my hair for all my graduations - from middle school all the way to graduate school! Always did an amazing job trimming it before winter balls and proms in high school before I'd go get my hair done. Jenny is also amazing and did my nails for some of these occasions as well. I've had really expensive hair cuts that were sub par to Frank's work. Somehow he can layer my hair perfectly so it barely gives off that awkward "newly cut" haircut look. I live in Hawaii now and after a few trials there, I don't even bother getting haircuts out there anymore. Due to Covid, I haven't been able to come home for over a year and like most, I was way overdue for a haircut. Some technicians do a better job and are more gentle than others, but overall it's consistent, reliable and non-problematic, which is all one can realistically expect from a nail salon. Frank is a magician with the clippers. Needed a 1 on the side and fohawk on top. 15 minutes later, he somehow made me handsome! The salon is also very nicely kept. One of my good friends introduced me to Bailey Salon as her go-to nail place. This was actually my first experience with acrylics as I usually stick to pedicures, lashes, and facials for my beauty endeavors :P My friend made appointments for the both of us and we were easily scheduled for the next day. Alyssa was my technician, and she was super attentive! I showed her a picture of a nail shape I wanted and she easily accommodated. She's not talkative, and really focuses on perfecting your nails. The whole process for a full acrylic set is around 1.5 hours and a fill (I came back after 2 weeks) would be around 45 minutes. Comparing to other nail salons, I feel like their color selection is a little weak, but they still have hidden gems in the shelves. I'm pretty picky with my colors! Lol. They have lots of reds though. Anyways, they're pretty busy! During lunchtime, a lot of people came in but it seems like they can't take all walk-ins because of pre-booked appointments, obviously. I hate to write bad reviews for small businesses and rarely do so because I do my best to support them. I came here to pamper myself with my first mani pedi after 2 years due to the pandemic. I've come by a few times before and the quality was usually inconsistent but the value used to be okay enough for me to come when I was pinched for time. However, this recent experience has put an end to coming back here. Prices have gone up, quality has gone down. My pedi was fine which is why I'm giving it two stars but my mani, done by the owner, was horrendous. I was happy they accommodated me at first but in reality, they overbook customers so the experience is very rushed and interruptive. Not relaxing at all. My finger nails and cuticles were admittedly more out of shape and dry than usual but that's why I chose to come get them done rather than doing it myself. She did such a rushed, inconsiderate job using just the drill without gently pushing them back or clipping them or moisturizing them that my cuticles wound up shredded, bleeding, and hurt for 3 days after. She didn't fix them or even them out and the acrylic was applied unevenly to the point where it look gloppy, too. The edges were uneven and didn't cover the nail bed evenly. Throughout the whole time, she commented on how dry my cuticles are yet didn't really fix anything, and interrupted my mani to serve two other customers. Paid $80+ and included tip despite the experience. It wasn't worth arguing over knowing that I couldn't trust them to do a good job. They don't care about the quality of their work. Very annoyed and certainly never coming back. read more

My nails were looking wild. The gel was peeling off my nails and I just couldn't take another day of it. Found this place on my way to Safeway, stopped by on a Monday evening around 630 without an appointment, and got taken care of right away. There was an hour til close and I've never seen someone take their time on me as much as this woman did. I got a ruby red (OPI 238) gel polish manicure for $25. I am usually both generous and honest in my reviews...but this was a terrible experience. I went here to get a pedicure because the reviews were good and the prices were even better. About 7 minutes into my pedicure my toes started to really hurt. I looked down and saw that the lady who was doing them had totally shaved my nails down. I asked her to stop and showed her the little spots of blood. She brushed me off and told me I was wrong, that it was leftover nail polish. It took me talking for almost 2 minutes and telling her I wanted to actually just leave (which was embarrassing as a customer...I never do that!), for her to finally just dismiss me. For the past several visits, I've been pretty disappointed, so unfortunately I am downgrading my original review. After being cut to the point of bleeding, bumpy and air bubble filled shellac nails, having the wrong color put on me, dozens of in grown hairs from the waxes, and patches of hair left over that I end up having to pluck out myself later on, I'm getting pretty tired of this place. The people are really nice. I definitely have my favorites. And not favorites. Also, their selection of colors for shellac are pretty pitiful. I tried hinting for them to get new colors a while ago - still nothing. The place is very affordable. That's one of the things I really liked about them. Not only is it cheaper than other salons but the gel color selection is massive, their hands and feet massages are actually good, they offer exfoliating agents for your feet (if you get a pedicure), and they're done in a timely manner! I'm the type of girl to get my gel manicure every 2 weeks or so but these nail technicians do such a great job, I don't have to come back for 3 weeks! Amazinggg! I really enjoyed the foot massage they gave me because they also used hot stones for their foot massage. They were quick and I was out within 45 minutes. I came back for a fill on March 21st along with a pedicure. Again, great experience. I came around 6:00pm and they were accomadating past closing. I finished up around 7:50pm. A fill for my nails were $30 and pedicure was $25. A regular pedicure included a nice scrub, massage, and hot stone. read more

I have been coming here for close to 10 years, starting at their old location across from the CalTrain station. The prices are fantastic compared to anywhere else in this area. For me the gel french manicure lasts 3+ weeks and typically grows out before there is even one chip. Jenny also cuts and colors my hair and it's so convenient to get a haircut, color, mani and pedi all at the same time. Jenny and Frank are wonderful people and always treat their customers very well. Professional, clean, affordable, and good customer service. I've been going here consistently for 9 months. I usually get gel manicures (or just a gel change) and pedicures. I love that I can walk in without an appointment and ~90% of the time they can see me right away or within 15 minutes. (They do accept appointments, so if you are in a time crunch, I recommend making one. Especially on a Saturday or on weekday evenings.) They all do a great job, but Alicia is AMAZING at nail artwork (I had an awesome design done for Halloween) and Jenny is one of my favorites too. No matter who helps me, my nails always look fantastic when I leave. :) My gels usually last ~12 days (I'm a picker, so that's my fault), but they are affordable. This place is really wonderful. I've been a couple times, but my last service yesterday (gel mani and regular pedi) was just exceptional. I wish I got the name of my nail artist but I forgot to ask. She gave me an amazing, relaxing massage during my pedicure and manicure and did a great job on my nails. The shape is perfect. She took her time with me which I really appreciate.
