Lana is wonderful - you can see from my trail of reviews that I've been seeing her since 2018. I go about once every month for hydrafacials. I naturally have pimples/clogged pores, even in my 30s! But going to Lana helps keep these at bay. She's very knowledgeable about skin and adjusts her treatments according to how my skin is doing or the weather. So I get a customized facial every time! This was my first visit to Lana's Beauty Zone for a hydrafacial. The studio was clean and comfortable. Lana went over my skin routine and advised on possible changes based on my type of skin (which I love!). The facial was amazing, painless extraction, massage, mask... I left looking refreshed and younger! My skin was smooth and bright. I can't wait to go back! Would highly recommend her and her products. What an experience! I was completely transported into a deep relaxation, time to rest, renew, hydrate, and feel completely pampered. These are the facial I remember watching my mother receive as a child. Lana has been the best find ever on Yelp! I've been having issues with adult acne for a few years and I've tried many spas and was ready to seek a dermatologist when I found her. In the first session she took time to understand my skin issues. I went for the hydra facial, but she did so much more. I just completed my third session with her and my skin and I love her. The acne is cleared and I haven't had any outbreaks. Also like she's not like most spas where they try and push their products on you. She truly cares about your skin and provides products that will help your problem areas. Lana is a sweet woman, but I didn't enjoy my facial experience with her. I booked a hydrafacial appointment with her. I've had hydrafacials before and this was not it. She barely used the hydrafacial machine. I think for my 1 hour hydrafacial she used the machine all of 15 minutes. I felt very uncomfortable at the end and throughout the session as she kept up selling me on her products and other procedures that she does, and I felt very pressured to say yes. I had high hopes with all the great reviews that I saw, but unfortunately, I will not be going back. read more

I wasn't able to try Lana's actual Hydrafacial (see below) - so I'll update this review when I eventually get a chance to try it out! Before then, some things that I found not-so-good right off the bat.... 1) It's located in a hair salon :-/ and I'm normally pretty skeptical about non-specialized places - think nail salons that also offer haircuts, or facial laser place that also does body massages etc... Jack of all trades but master of none? we'll see! 2) The online scheduling system is SO annoying!! It doesn't take you to the specific place you want to book, you have to "search" for it and sometimes it doesn't show grrrrr... but I guess you could also call and leave voicemails to make appointments! 3) I managed to book a few appointments successfully online, only to have them ALL cancelled and no reason or rescheduling option was given... wtf??? read more

Lana is the absolute best! I have been going to Lana for waxing for over 9 years, since before she opened he own business. She has the experience and technique to provide this service with minimal pain (even the Brazilian bikini wax). I would not drive all the way from San Francisco to see her if this was not the case. As an added bonus, her prices are incredibly reasonable. Lana is now offering Thai Massage. If you have never had a Thai massage, it is not like the type of massage that you would be used to (ie Swedish) Thai massage has amazing therapeutic benefits. I broke my shoulder a year ago and went to physical therapy for rehab for months. I had very limited range of motion after months of physical therapy with some of the best Physical Therapists in S.F. I could barely raise my arm over my head. Miraculously, after one Thai massage my range of motion increased significantly (I can almost reach up with a straight arm compared to a 90 degree angle before), and my pain decreased significantly. I would not believe that this could be true if I hadn't experienced it myself. I am looking very forward to my next Thai massage. read more

I got to Lana's salon through Groupon the first time and I am going to stay. She gives a very personal service, remembers you, your skin problems and actually leads your skin to a better place from treatment to treatment. I have an adult acne problem and now it has finally got better. Lana is super pleasant and makes you feel very comfortable while she does her magic! She makes your experience very personal, and gives an effort to get to know you. I go in for a monthly wax (full leg & bikini). She does great work, and will ask you to check over her work before she is finished, that way, satisfaction is guaranteed. The aesthetics and ambiance also contributes to the overall experience that you can look forward to when being serviced by Lana. I don't really understand why people are complaining about the prices. You're paying for luxury and convenience, and for someone to do your dirty work. If you're expecting quality service, then you should be willing to pay accordingly; which is irrelevant anyway since Lana's prices are reasonable. Lana gives the best facial I've ever had. The 3 part facial machine leaves your skin feeling so soft and clean. She also has that wonderful wand that kills all the bacteria on your face. Some places I've been to for a facial - your skin gets irritated and looks worse for a few days after. Not here - it's glowing and looks wonderful afterwards. You'd barely even know such a place existed tucked away there on el camino - but once you walk in it's clean, relaxing and truly an enjoyable experience.
