I believe that since COVID they have transitioned to takeout only, and it's great to see that the business is still thriving even if they are still operating under the takeout only model despite how the world has evolved away from the pandemic. For the few dishes that I came here for, qualities varied, with some dishes lacking flavor while others simply sloppily created. The Hainanese chicken relied solely on the extra dipping sauces for flavor while the chicken itself had no flavor alone. The nasi lemak had good flavor mainly because of the sambal, and the chicken had good texture. I didn't see any peanuts in the dish, which I thought was needed for nasi lemak. The sizzling beef and ginger scallion duck had pretty expected flavor because of their ingredients, meaning that what they looked like was what they tasted like, if that makes sense. When I got food from there a second time 4 months later, overall the food was better. The chili tofu wasn't spicy at all even if I asked for spicy in my original order. The char kway teow had both good flavor and soft texture, allowing a positive tasting experience. The sambal shrimp had a good amount of vegetables and not enough shrimp, and had very good flavor because of the sambal infused with the dish. Because their menu is huge, I think they have an adequate selection of options that can serve customers of all kinds. Even though this is not one of my favorite spots within the Twin Cities, the dishes they have already solidifies this establishment as a "must not miss" within the area.

Crispy outside, soft inside Roti Canai - amazing! No wonder this is a top rec on Yelp Dumplings - average but good! Our waitress was extremely attentive and gave us several wonderful recommendations that guided our entire order. Everything we tried was memorable: - Basil Wings: Hands down my favorite of the small plates! The chicken came out piping hot, fresh, and perfectly crispy with great flavor. - Salmon Eggs Benedict: Beautifully poached eggs over rich, flavorful salmon patties (pan fried) gave it a nice crunch with the egg and English muffin. - Coffee Crunch French Toast: A delicious blend of sweet and coffee. The French toast is seasonal and was definitely something I would get again. It was just the right amount of sweetness. - Duck Congee: Comforting and savory. The duck meat basically fell off the bone. Overall, a top-tier dining experience with phenomenal food and warm, knowledgeable service. The vibe had a great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

To eat one of my friends and I split the Benedict and the seasonal French toast and our other friend got the khao soi. We also got a sticky rice party just to try and some hot sauce. This was delicious Take it or leave it: -The French toast. What happened to the og french toast?! They informed me they had switched to a milk bread of sorts and it did not do it for me the way the old French toast used to. I was so excited about it so it was kind of a let down. It has this tropical and airy vibe with a bunch of plants everywhere. It's partially open air with indoor seating too. It's a Vietnamese fusion spot and apparently a James Beard Award winner which I can definitely understand after eating here. To start the bartender recommended the shrimp toast so I ordered that along with the sweet corn wontons. The shrimp toast was SO interesting!!! It was like a shrimp mousse on toast. I honestly loved it but fair warning, it was reaaaally spicy with the fresh jalapeños on top. Still so good though I pushed through. The sweet corn wontons were AMAZING. They came in this super flavorful broth that I drank by itself after. For dessert, I tried their version of mango sticky rice, which was probably one of the most interesting things I had. They don't actually use rice and instead use this jell-o??? but somehow you still get all the flavors of mango sticky rice. So different and SO delicious. My fav of the night! For drinks I tried with the Life Aquatic which was a mezcal cocktail with cucumber and it was smoky, refreshing and overall just amazing. Then I asked for a lychee martini which wasn't even on the menu but they attempted to make one for me anyway. 10/10 execution because it was also amazing!
