We will always support the Ma & Pa restaurants over a chain restaurant any day...and 303 Ramen did not disappoint. We dined at the new location, still in Arvada, but now located on Sheridan.

Over the last year and a half, I've noticed the food quality really decline. I hadn't been back in almost a year, but my sons convinced me to give it another try tonight. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed. The karaage chicken was hard as a rock and overcooked. The katsudon was also way overcooked and lacked flavor. The only thing that was okay was the shrimp shumai. Service was rough too. Our table wasn't pre-bussed, and we felt pretty ignored. When the waitress did ask how it was and I told her she then just wanted to argue with me about the chicken being well done and not even edible and I even showed her I couldn't even eat it. Wasn't even chewable. It was so cooked. It's just so sad to see how far this place has fallen. I really hope they can turn it around because having a good Japanese restaurant nearby meant a lot to us.

I've tried all the ramen on their menu and everyone is super tasty. Some highlights: The Flavorsome, their signature, is so good. Rich and beefy with tender oxtail. Get it with the chili paste (which is properly spicy) for a good kick. The Saigon Curry is nice and cozy, perfect for a winter day. It also happens to taste exactly like the Vietnamese style curry I enjoyed when I was younger. The remaining options are nothing to scoff at either. Both the Pork Belly (tonkotsu style) and the Dashi are more traditional, but tasty nonetheless.

So we decided to get a hot bowl of ramen to clear ourselves right up. I have to admit while we have had pretty good ramen in Colorado nothing has blown us away. This place did just that. If you are looking for the most authentic bowl of ramen anywhere within a 20-30 Radius of Denver this is your spot. I got the sesame pork belly ramen bowl and my wife the chicken dashi and both were spectacular. I know this sounds like a lot of exaggerating but no notes. Seriously ZERO! Take all my money whoever you are, Sera! PS I'm very impressed the other reviewers had enough self control to take pictures before they ate. Our food didn't stand a chance.

The noodles had a good chew, the broth is not too salty and creamy.... The toppings were delicious w good amount of spinach and menma, the poached egg runny - everyone was perfect for the ramen. I wished the pork/charsiu were sliced slightly thicker. It was nicely torch-seared. Service was decent, it is a self service restaurant for the most part, you order and they bring it to your table. The takoyaki was not freshly made but it had a crunch. The best part was their chicken karaage, such fluffy and airy coating and so nicely fried. Typically I'm used to a jammy soft boiled egg but those can be hard to make right and take more time to peel the shells. I do think the poached egg was tasty but an easy way out for a ramen shop. Def shocked that they were quite good in a strip mall, but I might have judged the book cover. Wished they had some cold beer or hot sake to go with the karaage for sure, I would never leave.

We started with orders of popcorn chicken and chicken wings. Both items are a must try appetizers. As I popped a couple of popcorn chicken in my mouth, even without the accommodating sauce, the tastebuds in my mouth were partners dancing and jumping for joy. The sauce used to marinade and cooked in the chicken wing was so good! No side sauce necessary, but it was an added bonus to the dish. My main entrée was the seafood lobster hot soup, and boy, it was flavorful, tasty, and totally delicious! So many items in this soup including shrimp, octopus, clams, mussels, and a lot of different vegetables, but my favorite was the taro. These taro slices went very well with the soup. In my opinion, Mizu was probably one of the better Japanese options back in the day. However, with so many other good spots now, especially with Kawa Ni close by with a better izakaya hang out spot, it's not as attractive of an option, especially given the higher price. The ramen was probably the only item I wouldn't get a second time as the noodles were overcooked and the broth lacked richness but the fried wontons, sushi rolls, and miso soup were all fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I was so excited! The broth was absolutely amazing. SO flavorful!! I ate the leftover broth for breakfast with some Korean brown rice soaking up the broth. Omg it was delicious!!! I promptly craved that savory tonkatsu broth flavor a day later and was shocked to find that the restaurant was actually 3.5 miles away on West Colfax! I had time so I headed over - wanting to cut down on delivery app costs! Each ramen bowl was like $4 less than on the app! I was so glad! It was so comforting and amazing and I ate the leftover broth with my Korean brown rice the next day again. When I was at the restaurant, I parked at what I thought was "right out front" but that was actually the literal back of the restaurant - so go park in the Alamo/retail parking lot! The restaurant inside was not super impressive, but I don't expect to be super impressed if the Japanese food is extra delicious and traditional which I think that was the vibe! I also didn't realize that the place was half sushi. I'm so glad I got their ramen and that they lead with that - Ramen & Sushi. Their sushi was good, a few pieces smaller than I thought, but I guess it does match the lower price for 2026! This is definitely my new fave ramen spot!
