And yet, she got our waters to us, took our order and kept our water topped off without wait. After we ordered we sat happily chatting until our food arrived. On this visit, I chose the Beef Yaki Soba. It was beef, vegetables and noodles stir fried together with a wonderful sauce. I would absolutely get this again. It was delicious. My daughter had the Tonkatsu ramen and her friend had the Katsudon. We all enjoyed our meal. My daughter and I had some that needed boxes. Don't sleep on this storefront spot nestled between a massage place and nail salon. The owners have worked hard to create a very pleasant environment in which to enjoy lunch or dinner. Service was fast and friendly and my food came out quick. I got gyoza as an appetizer and the curry ramen as my main. This is best gyoza I have made anywhere. I made a point to tell my server and she said they make it from scratch in house. You can taste the time and care they put into this dish! Sasuke ramen is a gem that I only recently discovered... I wouldn't say it's hidden, but it's in a part of town that I don't regularly visit anymore. I've been two or three times now, and each visit has been equally awesome. The good: 1. Parking is abundant. This yummy little ramen shop is in a pretty big strip mall, so finding a spot (even if we need to walk a bit) is always stress free and easy. 2. Staff has always been so kind and very efficient. We've always been greeted, seated, fed, and checked out in a timely manner and the ladies working are always so sweet. 3. I hope my five stars makes it obvious that the ramen is friggin awesome! The broth is always piping hot and the flavors of each bowl are so rich and deep; each topping fits perfectly with the overall dish and the noodles are cooked to perfection. Portion sizes are also very generous; I've not been able to finish an entire bowl on my own. Price point is pretty reasonable, too. 4. Although small and tucked away, the restrooms have always been very clean, which is a big plus. The "meh," but not necessarily bad: 1. I think it is written in small lettering somewhere on the menu if I remember correctly, but we've almost always been offered the spicy black garlic option for the dishes; first time around we didn't realize it was an extra charge, but that fact was not clearly communicated. 2. The options with meat offer the choice of two different types of pork, but we have never been given the option to choose when ordering. I'm sure you'd be able to speak up/ask for one of the two types without an issue, though, if you did have a preference. 3. Space within the restaurant is pretty limited, so it does get a bit crowded easily, and noise levels can be on the louder side. We have only stopped in for lunch, but the most recent visit was packed with people (no tables available at one point) and we had to speak a bit loudly to hear one another. I have been on a ramen and pho kick lately so this place seriously hits the spot for me. I stopped in for a late lunch yesterday because I didn't eat lunch before I went shopping. This place is right by sprouts and I had been meaning to try it. It wasn't busy so the service was extremely fast. They have two vegan ramens to choose from. I got the vegan veggie with tofu. Not my favorite vegan veggie ramen I've had but a solid option for sure. It definitely needed a little kick from sriracha and chilli flake. It very warm and filling and the texture of the noodles was very good. I would say that uncooked/seasoned soft tofu isn't my favorite but I do enjoy the texture of soft tofu. When I ordered I asked for no corn because the menu says it has corn but it doesn't. I added pork because it just didn't seem like enough items to make this filling or more than broth and noodles. This was a backup restaurant since our 1st choice was booked and wait was too long. Typical Ramen spot with basic flavors, No trills. I got the shoyu Ramen, it's hearty and the portions are good. Like the char siu pork they slightly fry it. They put wakame a japanese soft seaweed along with a strip of nori (crispy seaweed). I didn't prefer the wakame in the Ramen as it gave it a slightly different flavor than what I am used to, a sea/fishy hint. Wakame is best for miso imo. Gyoza was good, it's not a store bought frozen type. The inside is meaty like Chinese pork hash and some know it by. The sauce for it is also really tasty. Fried squid was not bad too. Calamari rings thats tempura battered and fried. Had a slight spice seasoning on top for a hint of a kick. Lemon and side of peppers. Very hot and crispy when it arrived. Ordered the Geso Karaage (fried squid tentacles) as an appetizer. The dish didn't come with ANY tentacles, only the mantle. It was good but if you're going to have it on the menu throw in a few tentacles. For my entrée I had the Tonkotsu ramen which included half of a soft-boiled egg, fungus (kikurage aka the wood ear mushroom) bamboo, green onion and nori. Choice of chashu or kakuni and choice of regular or black garlic and spiciness. I chose to have the chashu, black garlic, and medium spice. My bowl didn't have any black garlic nor any spice. The egg wasn't soft boiled as you can see in the photo I've included, and I wasn't sure if the egg was fresh or not, it looked kind of iffy. As I was eating the noodles I noticed some of them had a strange color. Not sure what that was, I've never seen noodles like that at any of the ramen restaurants I've been to. My friend ordered the curry ramen and asked for black garlic and hot level spiciness. His bowl also did not have any black garlic nor any hot spice. We were bummed out about the black garlic because we were both expecting it and really wanted to try it! I asked for a side of spicy miso because I like my Tonkotsu spicy and she brought out this strange sort of chili sauce. It was okay but not what I was hoping for. The entire time we were there the people working there were YELLING at each other in the kitchen. It was sooooo awkward! We kept questioning to each other what they were yelling and arguing about, it was so strange!! My biggest pet peeve with restaurants is when they leave out ingredients. You guys offer a choice of black garlic and the waitress told us that it was a good choice and that we would love it and we didn't get any!! Also why ask us for the spice level if you aren't going to include any spiciness!! I'm sure we were charged for the black garlic and the chili sauce they brought out. This is the best Ramen in the Denver area, hands down. Not to say that there isn't other good Ramen around but this takes the cake. I have been fortunate enough to have both Michelin Star Ramen and Ivan Ramen and can say Sasuke competes with both. Both the Tonkotsu and Soyu Ramen are incredible. Absolutely get the garlic added. Black garlic oil as an option to add to my ramen is one of my favorite things and I was so glad to be able to do that here. The portions for the price are very worth it, you will walk away full if you can manage to down your bowl of ramen. I really want to try other things on the menu but it is so hard to pass up on such tasty ramen. I will absolutely be a frequent visitor to this restaurant. read more

First stop when we landed in Denver was to get food in our stomachs. As usual, we wanted to go to a place and have food that we couldn't have from where we lived. Ramen is always a top go-to meal for us, as there is absolutely nothing in this category in Knoxville, TN. Good ramen can go places, and we found this place through Yelp and was it welcomed. This place is pretty quaint in a departmental store type of situation and at first glance you could overlook it from the parking lot. So what's good here and what did I get? For appetizers I ordered the fried chicken just to see what it was like. The flavor wasn't bad, I believe it was pretty plain, but I do want to compliment that the frying of the chicken was even and not burnt. For the main dish, I ordered the curry ramen. It was extremely tasty, from that black garlic to that broth it really warmed me up. Yes, you heard right, they have black garlic here. If you've never had it before it's just a more mellow fresh garlic. It's garlic that's been fermented and it just adds a bigger overall aroma when you eat it. I wouldn't say it's something that would kick like normal garlic, but overall brings a complexion to ramen. I would definitely recommend that if you get the choice. The meat that came with the dish was well prepared and did not need any seasoning added to it. Overall, I would recommend this place to eat if you're craving for ramen. The prices were relatively affordable and the flavor of the ramen was great. If you want something hot for the cold weather this would be the first place I would think of going to. read more

I called 15 mins before they closed today to place a pickup order for 2 vegan ramen with the vegan soy protein and black garlic. The lady who answered rushed my order verbally and said to be there within 10 minutes. I showed up within 5 minutes since I was nearby. The transaction was quick and I received a passive aggressive comment about eating a late dinner tonight and a THIRD mention that they close at 8. To top this off, when I got home I noticed there were huge chunks of pork meat in both ramens. As a vegetarian, this was absolutely unacceptable and downright careless and disgusting. On top of that, there was no black garlic whatsoever which I paid $3 per bowl for. I really used to love this place, but lately they've been careless and adding meat to my food after I confirmed twice on the phone while ordering is downright disrespectful. I'm not a ramen expert but I thought that Sasuke Ramen was really good, definitely hit the spot on a cold night! The restaurant is very tiny so if you're planning to dine in it'll be cozy during the busy dinner hours. The staff is friendly but don't hang around too long to answer questions. The menu is also displayed on the wall and you're given a menu. There is a TV but they don't play anything, I think it's the vehicle for the music. The restaurant is clean and tidy, even the floors are very clean. The broth for the ramen was very flavorful and not too salty. The noodles were really good, not rice noodles, thin but not like vermicelli. The pork so so tinder and flavorful. My only complaint was the half soft boiled egg...it was very over cooked. Yummm, okay so my husband has been telling me that I needed to try this place specifically for their black garlic and boy am I glad that I did.. We came on a Sunday night and it was quite dead... I think it's because all the stores in the place were already closed for the day. Anyways we were seated immediately. I went with the tonkatsu ramen, medium spice with black garlic. You can really taste that black garlic, it gives it more of a kick and flavor. My husband went with the curry ramen, which was also good, but I think the tonkatsu was better. The broth was absolutely amazing. It added such a unique flavor to the rest of the bowl. I chose my broth to be spicy and I absolutely don't regret it! It has just the right amount of spice and the extra spices they add gives the meat an amazing kick. I ordered chashu as my meat(seared pork) and man was I in for a rollercoaster of taste. An amazing meat accompanied with an amazing broth gave me and my mom an amazing dish. The second star of this show is the gyudon bowl. It's a hefty bowl with a large portion of food. Come in hungry because this will fill you up! The meat on the top almost tasted just like Kobe beef and as the meat rests it's dripping it's juices onto the rice. This gives the rice an amazing flavor as you get further into the bowl! The rice itself was perfectly steamed which I personally was a fan of! An amazing choice by my wife and father. So was the fried chicken; the batter was crispy and a little on the sweet side for me.
