The elderly Italian gentlemen that run this business barely speak English even though I know they've been in the country longer than I've been alive (30 years). However, the language of clothes is global. As the previous reviewer stated it is not the most organized place but, the customer area and changing rooms are spotless. They've never misplaced an order of mine so I could careless how unorganized there work area is as long as it doesn't affect me as the customer. I've used them mostly for suit alterations and occasionally a coat or shirt but my mother uses them for everything. They do a good job on both men's and women's clothing. They may cost more than your cleaners or dept. stores (I don't use other places so I'm not sure) but for the quality I've received I would happily pay more if needed.

While one helped me get sleeves shortened on a suit coat, the other was working on alterations just a few feet away. Kind of a cool vibe. I have family members that have used this tailor several times - it came recommended to us by someone...can't remember who...might even have been a Nordstrom sales person (yet another reason to love Nordstrom) and it was described to me as "not the cleanest" and maybe even smelling of smoke. The store does has a scent to it. Not sure if it's smoke, or dry cleaning solvent, or hot irons, or what. My jacket sleeves were $20 - I have no idea what this should cost, but it would have been more had I taken it back to where I bought it, I'm pretty sure. There were unable (or unwilling) to attempt to lengthen the sleeves on a top coat with working buttons. I can't hold that against them, as logic tells me that if you rolled the hem out on the sleeves, the buttons and button holes wouldn't line up any more, and you can't exactly remove a button hole. This is what I get for buying nice things. Anyway, picked up the jacket a week later, and the work was fine. I mean, it wasn't anything too difficult, but they did a good job at it. My jacket does have a little bit of a smell to it after being in the shop...again, I don't think it's smoke, but it's not pleasant. Hopefully it will air out a bit. One note - cash or check only. Sigh. How many times have I said it - Charge me more to cover the transaction fee and get a credit card machine. They're lucky I had cash - I almost never do.

They're conveniently located for all of those in the "Wheatlands" area, and the customer service is always prompt and professional. The prices are standard - higher than CD1 - but they offer perfect service. Tip: Go here to get alterations! They have a dressing room where you try on the existing garmet, and they'll make the alterations and have them back to you quickly. Rather than pay some $80 to get my alterations for a bridesmaid dress done, I paid under $30.

Donna and Julie are so kind and easy to work with. Donna's attention to detail goes above and beyond. My wedding gown is Lillian West, A-line style dress with four layers, two of them are lacy with intricate beaded floral patterns and a very long train. She was able to alter, bustle and give recommendations to preserve the beauty of my gown while making necessary alterations. She listened to me without judgment, came up with unique ideas and spent a lot of time making sure I was comfortable with the plan. The way she bustled my gown is perfect and unique and she even spent time teaching us how to bustle it properly. She even worked to alter the petticoat that I had bought per her recommendation to lift my dress. I am so thrilled to have a place I can trust, with fair prices and close to my home. 10/10!!

I used to take all my suit/shirt alterations to Chicago but my guy left so I figured I would give Ruby a shot. So far they have been just as good as my guy in Chicago. My requests are not normal, and so far Ruby has delivered and surprisingly the prices for my difficult requests are more than reasonable. I have not used them for dry cleaning just yet but I may switch this as well.

I had an extremely frustrating experience at Ruby Cleaners outlet; Naperville. I brought in 10…read moreitems for dry cleaning, and when I went to pick them up, all 10 garments were shoved into a single, see-through bag with just one tie at the top. When I asked for the garments to be bagged individually to keep them properly protected, they refused unless I paid an extra 10¢ per bag. After already paying around $50 for the service, having the manager, Siraj Patel, argue with me over a few cents was completely absurd. His attitude throughout the entire interaction was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. Between the lazy packaging, nickel-and-diming over pennies, and terrible customer care, they clearly do not value their customers or respect their clothing. I don't recommend to use them.

Looked at the label and realized they were not my pants. Took them back and told them problem and that I want my pants. I was told they'd have to check orders and would call me. They never called. I went in with my purchase receipt since they were new pants and the first time I took to cleaners..I wanted to be reimbursed. They would not reimburse me and told me the wrong pants had to be my pants. I said they weren't....why would I lie about that. I was told they wouldn't reimburse me. They said they needed at least 2 weeks to figure out problem. I'm furious at fact that 2 out of 2 times I had such awful service after I gave them a second chance after the first mistake....and bad business they won't even remedy their mistake by reimbursing me for my new pants!
