Really good burger, cooked to a perfect medium. I had the southwest burger and it was really good. Also had the fried pickles as an appetizer, they were spot on with that ranch. Sampled my wife's sweet potato fries with caramel sauce....i do not like caramel, but that is a great pairing. Desserts on display looked amazing, did not try but kudos for display. read more

The food was okay not as hyped up as other people has claimed it to be. I will leave this at that! The service that is another story. We arrived about fifteen minutes late due to the distance and the time for us to meet up with our party. It took a while for the waitress to show up. Since the rest of our party ordered ahead of us. We knew what we were wanting to order. The waitress just took our drink order and said she would be back for our drinks without taking our order. Well a lot later on, someone else brought us our drinks then left! Long story short. Our party was finished eating by the time we were served. Moral of the story, if you are going out to eat with others wait until everyone shows up. Plus be wary of eating establishments whose wait staff is lacking timing for service with everyone. read more

Great local restaurant. Food and service are always top notch. Regular menu items are things like steak, pasta, shrimp, chicken, salads, etc. I think the restaurant would be classified as "American" and has food items similar to Ruby Tuesday, chili's, etc, just WAY better quality. Lots of items are homemade, like the croutons, desserts, and sassy bread. They offer weekly specials that are always as good as the regular menu items. The dessert selection is large and includes pies, cakes, specialty desserts, and shakes. Fancy enough for a date night, while still being casual. read more

This is a great local place, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food was out of this world. I had the catfish sandwich and my husband had the chop steak plate. We also had the apple dumplings desert that was well worth it. We also got the pecan bread pudding to go. A must if you are in the area. read more

This is one of mine and my kids favorite places to eat. I'm not sure if they love it because of the great food or the amazing service. Their ribeye is the best I've ever had and the porker fries are the bomb. They have a wide variety of items on the menu so everyone gets something they like. My son is turning 12 tomorrow and I told him he could eat anywhere on the coast that he wanted and he picked Sassy's. He loves Ms. Sharla and Ms. Sue. Being in the food industry myself, I try my best to give people the benefit of the doubt but after 3 times beong here and having the food take more than an hour to reach the table, I will not be back. This makes me most sad because the food is superb, but my third and final attempt did it for me. Not only did my party of 5 wait 2 hours for food but we watched the management comp other tables food for the long wait time while never once offering my table anything. She avoided us at all cost and made us feel that we were undeserving of her time. I understand taking care of your regulars but they could have created new regulars out of my party. read more

You won't just randomly wonder upon this restaurant that's for sure. It is out in the middle of no where but well worth the travel. The food is always great and the service is always fast and polite. Has a deli style atmosphere and is always pretty full any time I go. Highly recommend it if you live in the area or just happen to get lost. read more

I wanted to surprise my girlfriend at work with some of Sassy's amazing bread pudding. Problem was it was a day the restaurant was closed and delivery would be 30+ minutes away. Sharla not only accommodated my unusual request, but kept in contact with me every step of the way. Pure class and professionalism! My girlfriend was so surprised and it was only possible because Sassy's was willing to go the extra mile (or 30) for a customer. I fully support and recommend this place to anyone who desires kind, friendly, and incredible service. I will definitely be visiting the restaurant in the future if I get back out there. read more

Ahh my home town ... As I highly doubt anyone out side of the community will find themselves in Hurley ms. But if you happen to and you get hungry.. (and be for warned if your in Hurley your 30 mins from the nearest City. )So besides Sassys the only thing hurley(wade) has to offer is a subway and a waffle house. This is one of my favorite places to eat. The BLT is certainly loaded with Bacon, At other restaurants I have been given a lettuce, tomato, bacon sandwich. Sassy's has The largest amount of bacon I have ever had on a BLT. The hamburger steak is great as well., but watching my wife order the BLT two times and realizing that the huge bacon portion was not just a one time thing, I have fully switched to the Mega Bacon sandwich. The one item that is the absolute best ever however is the bread pudding. I very seldom eat bread pudding. In fact I don't think I have ever had bread pudding that I liked. However the first time we went (about 2 years ago) they had a fresh out of the oven batch and talked me into it. I have been eating it every time since. I can't leave without at least getting some to go!. My parents and wife agree that their bread pudding is the best we have ever had. read more

My dad had been telling me about this place and some of the guys at the fire station eat there often. They always had told me it was great food, so I finally caved one evening and got take out. I ordered hamburger steak with gravy, peppers and onions. Mashed potatoes and steak fries. I like my hamburger steak with a cheese slice on it and they said no problem. The steak was the best I've ever had. It was cooked perfect. All the sides were amazing. I've been back several times for it. I'm one of those oddballs that don't stray once I found something I like. I order the same every time. And it never gets old. They give you a huge portion of steak fries and mashed potatoes. They'll put the gravy on them if you ask. They have a huge selection of different sides. It's around $12 for that order. The service is good. Staff are always friendly and talkative. You don't have to wait long. The ingredients are fresh. It's just a nice mom and pop style laid back place to eat. Being from Hurley and lived here all my life there's not too many choices. But I'll eat here as opposed to going to Mobile or Biloxi anyday. read more
