Lil Pug heard a rumor of a buffet in Lucedale with steak and crab legs options. So we make the hour drive. Well Saturday night there is an hour wait, oh no, we can't wait that long so we drive into downtown Lucedale for other options. Found this location empty except for one other table. Interesting decor and Scooby Doo on TV, so we roll the dice. Mrs had the hamburger steak, grilled Vegs and mashed potatoes, Lil Pug selected Cajun Pasta and I was in the mood for steak and had same sides as Mrs. Cajun pasta was not very spicy, maybe out bayou life has us used to more kick. Steak was straight out of a Time Machine, I would have sworn in was Quincy's in 1992. Hamburger steak with gravy was tough and dense. Sides were salty and potatoes were from a box as was the gravy flavor wise. All in all food was non eventful not bad, but not worth a stop. Service was a little lacking, perhaps the young lady's were wanting to be anywhere else that night. Again, not bad but just not any more than bare minimum. No real negatives but no positives either, a very bland experience. Would I eat there again? I cannot believe this restaurant isn't more crowded? The food is fantastic. The service was great. We went there last night for dinner. I had the fried shrimp taco dinner. My wife had the chicken sandwich p. My brother had their special salmon. Every thing was great. I'm going back next week for dinner again to try more. read more

I've been here several times and my husband loves the place. The service is amazing and the food is great. My favorite is the appetizer with the loaded fries which you can add fried shrimp, fried chicken, or both. It come with ranch and boom boom sauce. Had been here several times and was looking for a repeat of the wonderful service and food. The Honey Garlic Shrimp is just awesome! My favorite waitress had moved on, but the young man who was my waiter was very professional and polite. Ordered their weekly lunch special of Cajun Shrimp Pasta. Unbelievably good until I got to the bottom of the dish and found hair in the sauce. Stopped eating and waited for him to come back. Moved it up to side so it could be seen better. Showed him the hair I found (thick, short, black - like a beard hair.) and pointed to mine. White hair and am clean shaven. No match. He took the dish back to kitchen after asking if I wanted a discount. He came back and stated the best they could do was 15% and oh, a fresh glass of ice water. Yea, no. Don't have the urge to come back anymore. Service was good but the food is booty. I'd rather stub my toe than pay money to eat here again.

I loved it from the moment I pulled up front. Has a great old Lucedale feeling with a modern touch. I had the shrimp tacos and they were fabulous. Headed there now to get that for my wife and I'm gonna get a ribeye steak because they were big and juicy. My friend said there's was great. The chocolate dessert we had was out of this world and I'll surprise her with that when I get back home. Jaron's is a lovely place to dine or have lunch. Great atmosphere friendly waitresses. This restaurant is super cute but not a place for a quick lunch on a Sunday. Took 2 hrs for 2 kid meals and sandwiches and a salad. Sat right away and half our table got drinks first 30 min with no one checking on us or acknowledge kids may be hungry waiting so long. The food was good but with a restaurant named coffee pot was a bit confused no coffee on the menu! We did order coffee and it was good. Perfect lunch spot on the outdoor patio, they have the most outdoor seating in town, with umbrellas to block the sun and lights for the evening. Really enjoyed a lunch date there, I had the fried chicken BLT and it was super crispy and delicious! Waiter was very polite, while they were very busy he took care of us well. I have an hour lunch break and did take a little bit to get our food, but we just asked for the check once we got it so we could enjoy and not rush. Can't wait to try more off the menu! read more

I love this place. This is a family owned-operated cafe in a quaint old Mississippi town. The dining area is clean and modern with safe seating even it this COVID 19 pandemic. The food is excellent and I especially like the hamburger steak with gravy fries! My waitress was Chrislyn and she was excellent also. Great food, service and prices. What's not to love. This business was named for an old Lucedale favorite restaurant from the past. I think it's even better than the original. read more
