My new favorite restaurant! Delicious food with breathtaking views. We went to a Mutts and Mimosas fundraiser for the Saraland Animal Shelter. The outdoor area is dog friendly with a gorgeous view of the Chickasabogue Creek. It's more budget friendly and every bit as beautiful as the Causeway. I had the 5 dollar pitcher of mimosas and a Monte Cristo. It was really good, but all I could smell was the steak sandwich the table next to me had. I'll be going back for it soon! All of the chefs have attended culinary school. They are available for parties and fundraisers. They are only open until 3pm Mon-Wed, but through dinner the rest of the week. Check out their Facebook page for movie nights and even a New Years Eve event coming up. They also have live music on Friday and Sundays.

Went to Off the Hook for the first time. A fund raiser for the Saraland animal shelter Dogs and Mimosas. The food was really good, a lot of not the usual sandwiches, nachos, and not regular fries. Looking for something different thats really good? Everyone needs to try this place out. Indoor and outdoor dining. Beautiful sunsets from outside. Live music on Friday and Sunday night's.

The ambiance is nice and cozy. But we always sat in a booth. Sitting at a table indoors next to the back door, I looked around in confusion. At first it felt like someone kicking the back of the seat like on a flight. But then I was trying to move the table and check the chairs, maybe it was an earthquake from the New Madrid fault line. But like a typical NOLA raised home, it was just a hard floor and heavy footsteps. I'll know better next time. But Sundays from 12-3pm is the time to be there. Having to wait for parking was about the hardest part.

We started with Boudreaux's eggrolls appetizer, they were pretty good, and cooked very well, the dipping sauce made the egg rolls. Next she got the crab and spinach bisque, I had a side salad with blue cheese dressing. Both were very tasty. Next she had grilled salmon with veggies and mash potatos, I had the blackend redfish topped Crawfish Etouffee w/ Rice & sautéed Vegetables redfish. Both meals were tasty, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. When we arrived at 615 it was pretty empty and quiet but by the time we left most tables were full and a vibrant scene. Chelsea and the stunning view made the evening. We will of course return.

I was in town for work and came here three times in two days. I've lived in New Orleans so I know good fresh boiled crawfish and this place delivers. Very flavorful crawfish. I got regular level of spiciness and it was plenty spicy so I don't need to know what it tastes like if you order it extra spicy. Not only that, but their shrimp is freshly fried and tastes fresh and from the gulf. And the okra was hot and freshly fried too. Delicious meal. Service is friendly and nice, and food usually came out under ten minutes from when I ordered. Got charged different amounts each time I went but it wasn't a big difference.

I will definitely be back next time I am in the port city.

One star for the hush puppies…read more One star for our friendly server. Sadly, I can only give two stars to Wintzell's House in Mobile, Alabama. I should've listened to all of the advice from the locals on Reddit, who warned me that this place has fallen on harder times. The char grilled oysters were funky. I ate them but worried as I ate them. The hush puppies earned a star. They were pretty tasty. The were my favorite thing on the table. However, we asked for butter, and our server gave us packets of butter substitute. Doesn't this restaurant have real butter? The gumbo was fairly tasteless and also, they had chopped up whatever seafood was in there so finely that it all just turned into mush. If there was any seafood in there, I sure didn't taste it. The West Indies crab salad was a shocking disappointment. It was a scoop of crab meat, which they ruined by mixing it up with mayo. That's it. An ice cream scoop of canned crab meat mixed with heavy mayo. It's like they didn't even try. The bread pudding left very little impression. It was a little rectangular square. Our server misunderstood us when we said we wanted it topped with ice cream, and served the bread pudding alongside a bowl of five scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. It was a very odd dessert situation, but we worked our way through it. Our server was an amusing fella. He kinda/sorta made the evening. Overall, I'm glad I went so I could know for myself. However, I do wish that I had listened to the locals on Reddit.
