I found my new Nail Tech!! I was feeling like I wanted to try a new place to get my nails done, and I started my search with Yelp (that's how I found Nia). I noticed her ratings and reviews, and said I would definitely give her a try. I'm so glad I did. I love that she has her own space and it's very clean. It's very apparent that Nia is a veteran. The water for my pedicure was ready when I arrived and my appointment didn't feel rushed at all. And trust me when I say to plan ahead as far as making your appointment as she has regular loyal clients. Update: The color for my pedicure lasted 5 weeks (would've lasted longer if I didn't want change the polish), and it WAS NOT gel polish. I found Nia on Yelp then found her again on style seat and had to get an appointment. I had my second appointment with her today and never leave without making my next. SHE IS DEFINITELY GIFTED. My nails never feel heavy, look lopsided, bumpy, thick, or not cared for. She is all about nail care, she does a Gel Overlay on my nails and it's awesome, light, and natural. NO DRILLS ARE USED!! I am so glad I finally found my NAIL TECH. Her customer service is out of this world. For my appointment tonight I picked a nice bright pink color and I wanted to do 4 nails chrome. Nia did exactly what I asked for but the chrome did not come out how we both had envisioned. She had no problem taking off the color on the 4 nails I wanted to be chrome and putting on a color that would make the chrome POP. At a nail shop they would have not done that at all but she did it with patience and that says a lot about how she cares for her customers and her craft. I was previously traveling to New York faithfully to get my nails done correctly with intermittent fills by subpar people. Well let me start with I try to intentionally support my black community. Not all keep my support but Nia is definitely top notch. She's extremely knowledgeable at her craft. Nia is on time & super knowledgeable on foot care. If you're looking for the usual "cheese shredder" to remove the dead skin that most of us are accustomed to, you will not get this with Nia (and besides, we shouldn't treat our feet like a block of Swiss!) Nia is an amazing nail tech. I was a little apprehensive about having an African American do my nails because I was so used to visiting Asian salons. Best decision I've ever made. The location is very conventient with plenty of parking. Her suite is always tidy and clean. There nothing worse than waiting 10-15 minutes with an appointment for the tech to finish her client. When I arrived my pedicure water was already in the works while she finished up a client. Nia does a great job being on schedule and making time for me when I call at the last minute. I've never waited longer than 5 minutes; if that, it takes me that long to pick a color. All of Nia's products are top notch as well as her techniques. She takes pride in all her work and never rushes even when her next client is there or if I'm her last client. today was my first time trying out sassy nails by Nia. Ms. Nia did a beyond excellent job on my nails. I got a pedicure (she had the water waiting for me before I had arrived) and manicure with designs. She is located in a salon plaza (parking available) and has her own suite (with door) for privacy and relaxation unlike most salons where you are out in the open and can hear everyone's conversation and issues. Her space is bright, clean, and spacious. I was able to enjoy the salon experience and watch television while having occasional conversation with her throughout the process. Her techniques and knowledge about nails is amazing and she even provided me with advice for better upkeep on my natural nails in between scheduling. Pricing was reasonable and worth it since she provides the whole pampering experience for you and you get what you pay for in every way. I liked the experience so much I referred my mom and others to her instead of the 50 millions typical Asian salons out here. I will definitely be going back to her for regular upkeep.
