I will never come here again. It's been 2 days since I've gotten my nails done and my pinky nail broke. Heidi had me come all the way up here to get 1 nail fixed just to tell me that couldn't do it. This was after I sat there for 10-15 minutes. She could have told me that when I came in the door so I could have told my husband, who dropped me off to come right back. Heidi WAS my nail technician, and I spoke with her on the phone prior to coming. Rude, and unprofessional. There were two workers there and the one lady was doing to do it for me and Heidi told her not to do it. I live in Upper Marlboro which is 30 minutes away from Brandywine. My nail hurts and all I needed to do was soak it off. Why tell me to come here if you didn't have 10 minutes to do a nail? I'm so done. I will be finding a new place to get serviced immediately. I have spent plenty of money in this place and highly regret it. I do not recommend this nail salon!! I would give it one star but my review might not show up. And on another note, they need to get better gel dryers with people that have a bigger hand. And their prices are outrageous. To be honest, I was trying to find a different nail salon to patronize anyway, but I'm not from here and I'm still learning the area. The pictures are a result of me having to remove the nail myself because it was hurting so bad. I didn't have a choice because I kept hitting it on accident.

Good basic shop. The best part is that the location is way in the back of Brandywine Crossing (Costco), so it's not busy. I was charged $35 for a mani/pedi which is the cheapest I've found. No polish and no callus removal. Just the basic.

This shop gave me nail FUNGUS!!!!!!!! If you scroll down a little further, you can see my first review. Since then, I soaked my nails off to find FUNGUS on one of my nails. Fungus that comes from using unsanitary supplies. I am BEYOND disgusted!!! Never have I experienced this type of unprofessionalism and carelessness for people's health. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!!!!

Polish changed color--polish hiccup within 2 days

I stopped at this nail shop for a mani/pedi. The tech was nice and friendly. She convinced me to add a massage and brow wax. She did a good job with the massage and addressing my feet. I was concerned about the technique of using the file machine to take off my old gel polish. Further after 2 days, the gel polish changed colors. The nail shop did address the issue and changed the polish when I went back in to advise of the problem. I'm on the fence about this shop.

Still ok......OK.......but not many techs in the shop and this time the tech cut me spending too much time going around the cuticle. I don't like a really thin- thin coating of product so did not last as long starting cracking around edges earlier than usual. I also like tech to take brush and go around edges of nail, so product is fully filled in more. Still ok, I edited cause I thought my review wasn't really fair after I re-read it. But I need more colors MORE, ladies like lots of color choices, I need more techs Fri, Sat, Sun..... ladies only like to wait so long, You know KV salons moved up closer to Brandywine.... Just saying they have more colors, lots more, but prices are higher, I'd like to stay closer to home but I gotta get a little more........

If you're looking for an affordable place to get your nails done this is the place for you. The workers are nice enough and their prices are good imo. I had a pedicure done by Lele and she did an excellent job and really did her best to convince me to upgrade my pedicure. all in all a very pleasant experience.

I have been going here for a few months now and I absolutely love it. For months I have been looking for the perfect nail home and I have found it. All the nail techs have such good attention to detail and that is what is a big thing for me. The massages that come along with the pedicures are to die for( biggest reason I come).

My fave husband & wife nail team have moved on so I had to try another tech. I shared my needs & the things I'm particular about and they assigned me a tech. I opted for the deluxe pedi since my tired legs & feet could use a little more massaging & heat. It comes with callus treatment if you need it, sugar scrub, mask, & paraffin wax. My tech delivered the requested services and I was pleased. The new nail salon is larger than the old and attractive with its open layout. Check them out. Some of Escape's services are a little more expensive than local competitors but the experience makes it worth the money.

Tell me why I get to the register and my total is suddenly $80?! No explanation, no breakdown--just sitting there looking clueless like that makes it okay. And to make it worse, the quality was terrible. All I asked for was plain white toes... HOW do you mess that up? Uneven, sloppy, just rushed and careless. Definitely will not be coming back. The lemonade was nasty too--only decent thing was the fruit was fresh. Save your money and go somewhere that respects your time, your wallet, and actually does a good job.

I'm just going to get to the point. My nails/hands have never felt so naturally good coming away…read morefrom a nail shop. Usually when I get my nails done, my hands will feel like they've been worked on. I've never had a bad experience but I would always feel like my cuticles have been cut and my nails have been cut. This time, I felt like I had my hands washed and moisturized only but with the appearance of a full detailed manicure. My feet were done first and after getting the heat turned down a bit, that was so relaxing. I used to get this done every 6 weeks but I've been going months w/o and I don't know if it's because of the longer gap between or me getting older but my foot tickled a bit and it caught me off guard because I've never had that sensation before. She acted as if it were normal but I guess to her it was. She jokingly asked if I wanted polish on my feet as she laughed and although I knew she was joking because she was laughing but she got serious and asked if I wanted clear. Now I don't know if polish is supposed to do something to protect your nails but I've never had it before and I'm not going to start now. I do wish nail places catered more to men. Not catered more to us but had some basic basic services. I think a basic manicure and pedicure (I refuse to call it man...ped...) I will likely be back here but I also go to the Fort Washington one because it's more in my travels but this one has done the best job of all the places I've been...ever.

And that's exactly where I went wrong. I came here Oct. 19 for a fill in with simple nail art in mind. The black receptionist with the red hair was up front upon arrival. I knew she remembered from my last visit as we'd had a slight spat about who she could recommend in the shop that did good nail art. Y'all why would this lady sit me down with a beginner nail tech that couldn't even do basic lines. Not even 6 days after I get my fill in , my nails need to be filled and my gel polish is chipping. I reach out to speak with the owner about the situation and Ofcourse the red head black girl tells me I cannot speak to the owner. So I drive all the way to the shop for the owner to still have zero courtesy to speak with me or even take the time to look at my nails. In fact they tried to put me out (tried because don't nobody put me out of NOWHERE)

I got the one above the lowest one - which includes callus removal because apparently adding that to the basic would've made it just as expensive. The technician was polite, but she immediately began cutting my natural nails without asking if I wanted them shortened. I had to stop her. Clients should always be consulted before altering their natural nails. During my service, the pedicure tub was left running and overflowed onto the floor. An older gentleman who had just walked in as a customer offered to help clean it up while I was sitting there soaking. That was kind of him, but it should not have happened in a professional setting. It became clear that only one technician was trying to service me and two other clients simultaneously. I was there for three hours, no joke. Eventually, her sister was called in to assist. When she arrived, she questioned the type of product on my nails and debated with me about whether it was dip powder. She also began criticizing my regular nail tech and repeatedly tried to upsell me on overlays after I explained that I naturally have thin nails. The pedicure portion felt rushed and heavy-handed toward the end. To make matters worse, when I was ready to pay, I was told they only accept Zelle or cash. There was no visible notice of this beforehand. I do not carry cash and was directed to an ATM, which charged a fee. After spending three hours there, that was extremely frustrating. Despite the overall experience, I was still asked if I wanted to add eyebrow services. I came in simply needing my nails and toes done. Instead of leaving relaxed, I left feeling stressed and inconvenienced. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
