Loved this place for years, but after a bad visit I won't be back. One of their manicurist cut one of my toes by accident, that wound got infected and didn't heal for many months. The salon needs a deep cleaning and they need to review hygiene practices. read more

Consistently tbe highest quality manicures and pedicures I've gotten in the area! They always pay close attention to every detail and shape/paint my nails perfectly. The nail technicians are so sweet and welcoming. Super affordable prices considering the high quality work. the quality of this place has totally gone down hill - i've gone for years and came in today for a gel manicure and pedicure. most of their original staff had turned over and who's left are completely incompetent. the woman who put my sandals on dented my big toe - no apology, no acknowledgement. i had to call attention to it and then another woman came to fix it, she refused to redo it at first, slathering acetone on it to "smooth it out." i told her she needed to redo it and when she finally did it, she dropped the nail polish applicator on my toes, and then got huffy when i asked her to remove it. added 15 min to my time there due to the poor customer service and attention to detail - completely insane. save your money and your time and go anywhere else!! read more

I went here to get a quick manicure after doing my laundry down the street and this will for sure be my new go to spot. Apart from the prices being great the attention is amazing, they do a great job with the music and set the perfect vibe for you to be relaxed and stress free. Sassy's has been my nail spot over 4 years; shellac mani, regular pedi. The team is warm when I walk in and the owner stops to chat with the regulars. Hot tea or water is available and sometimes the occasional happy hour! Positive atmosphere and good vibes here. Most important to me is the quality of the nail care bc I type on a keyboard all day.I like that the gel lasts at least 2 weeks. And they're careful around my cuticles so i don't have to worry about hang nails. There's also the massage chairs, love those! read more

Probably my new go to salon! Susan and the other workers were very welcoming and kind. I got a pedicure and she noticed I had some scarring around the area and made sure to be careful when completing the service. In addition she was able to help with an ingrown toenail I had and my feet now feel a lot better and I don't feel any discomfort anymore! The salon is also clean and well maintained! read more

This place is wonderful! I came last minute on a Friday afternoon with no appointment and they happily accommodated me. I had a bad gel manicure and wanted to get it fixed before I left for vacation. They took great care to find me just the right colors and to understand the design I wanted. Kim did an amazing job fixing my busted nails, they came out perfect! She is so skilled. I love coming here! I came here last time to get a basic manicure and Vanessa did a great job. This time I came in for an acrylic fill and the ladies did such an amazing job! Update - Within 24 hours my DIP nails started to peel. I've never had this happen. I hate when nails peel which is why I don't get gel and instead opt for Dip. For $106 I'd expect way better quality. (Gel pedi, dip mani) ------ Decent salon but it takes VERY long for a full mani pedi. If I return it would solely be for the foot massage I received with my pedi. Let me first say that the customer service here is great! The employees seem to really make an effort to make you feel comfortable. However, both times I got my nails done here, I wasn't super impressed with how they looked. My gel mani and regularly pedi chipped soon after my appt the first time (which usually never happens when I go to other places), so I thought maybe it's a fluke or that I did something unknowingly. This time, however, I notice a day later that my gel polish is too thick that it's STILL smearable and almost seems to have an air bubble in the paint on my right thumb, which will likely soon lead to a tear/chip. Also, neither manicurist I had started my polish right up against my cuticle (there remains a small gap) which looks like my nail already started to grow out right off the bat. So there's that. I also don't feel that the massage chairs are strong enough. This might not be a big deal for some people, but for me it is. I'm going to a nail salon to treat myself and want the full experience, including a decent massage. So while the employees are really sweet, I'm not sure that's enough for me to return. read more

I have been to Sassy Nails twice. The first two times were good. I am just leaving my third visit. I came in wanting baby pink nails. (Manicure, no gel, just polish) The nail tech painted my nails, I requested for some touch ups, then was time for my nails to dry. After waiting 25 minutes, I saw that a few of my nails were sticky and wouldn't fully dry. The nail tech came back over to touch them up. She removed the polish of three nails and re-did them. While doing so, she messed up one of those nails and had to go back in again to repaint. (She was visibly frustrated.) After that, I let my nails dry again. Looking at them I was unhappy anddddd they were still sticky and would not dry. I told the male nail tech i didn't like them and I just wanted a clear coat. He told her to come back and do just that. While checking out he said, "next time pick a different color. The color you picked was too thick." I said, "she should've told me that." And he said "yeah." I came in at 2:22pm and left at 4:13pm with a clear coat. I wasn't offered a discount or anything either. I paid $25, which I don't mind doing so if what I came for originally was a clear coat. Unfortunately, I will not be returning based off how this experience was handled. Picture speaks for itself. I recommend if a costumer picks a polish color that is "too thick" or won't apply correctly, you let them know at the start of the service. (Not an hour and a half later.) read more

I came without an appointment and was helped right away. My manicurist had such great attention to detail making sure that my manicure looked just like the reference photo I showed her. I couldn't be happier. The owner was the nicest and brought me a cup of green tea. I often feel self conscious at nail shops because the techs will criticize the condition of my nails but my tech at Sassy Nail was super complimentary of my natural nails. I promise you today I received the best service. The owner made sure every singe mail on my hand and toes were perfect. He set down and trained the two ladies who were seasoned employees. I thought the nails looked perfect. But, he disagreed. He filed and shaped each toenail and hands to perfection. I've never had this type of service. Most mail shops get you in and out. My appointment started at 3:30pm and I was out by 5:00pm. Every minute was perfect. Thank you. I found my new nail spot. read more

Do not go here if you're looking to remove acrylic nails. I've been going to this salon for a while and have never had a problem until recently. I went in looking to get my acrylics taken off and quickly realized that the gentleman doing it had no idea what he was doing. He ended up filing my acrylic down to an incredibly thin layer without completely removing it, leaving my actual nails paper thin and sore. When I let the woman at the front desk know I didn't want a gel manicure because there was still acrylic on my nails, and I could see where it started, she tried to convince me that it was just "a line from where the acrylic started" but that it was completely gone. Which I knew wasn't true. Now, the thin layer of acrylic is chipping off on paper thin nails and very uncomfortable. It's fine if a nail salon doesn't know how to do something. It's not fine if they pretend like they do, take your money, and damage your nails. Then try to gaslight you into believing something that isn't true. I won't be coming back. read more

I have been to Sassy Nails a few times before and had a good experience, so I've been getting my nails done there when I'm in the neighborhood. However, this last time I was there was a zero stars experience and I probably won't be back. I was getting a mani pedi for a special event in two days. The basic pedicure took almost an hour, not because my feet were that bad, but because the person working on my feet was exceptionally slow and distracted. My manicure, done by someone else, was horrible. I told her I had a special event and wanted the length of my nails even. My fingernails are on the shorter side, but still there's plenty to work with. She said, "don't worry, I'll take care of you, I know what to do". And then before I knew it she had cut every single fingernail down to nothing on my left hand, leaving no white nail and cutting everything below my finger tip! She left me with nails so short I can't even scratch an itch with them!! She thought it would be good for the health of my nails to cut everything down and let it grow back. Maybe true, but not before a major fancy event two days later where I wanted to have my nails looking nice! She didn't even ask me if it was ok for her to do this! WTH? read more

Clean & Professional!! Everyone here is so nice!! I can't recommend this place enough! I got the Special Vitamin Pedicure, Gel Nails and Bikini Wax. Everyone was very nice and professional with me. Honey Wax was quick and virtually painless! 5 Stars for All Staff and Services. This Salon was recommended to me by a friend because I just moved to Oakland and I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others. I really like the selection of colors and styles but just wanted to do a simple regular pedicure and gel manicure for this visit. My only question was pricing. It's not clear how much each service is and I didn't see a pricing list in store. There's a 10% discount for first-time visitors but somehow I still paid the same as another customer who got a gel mani/pedi when I only did a gel mani. I didn't bother questioning the beauty technician because she did a really good job and gave me the 10% discount. Would go back again (and just pay more attention to the pricing)!

They do not do acrylics, but I got a full set of gel X for $60. They also gave me free Vietnamese coffee. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and quick. My nails feel strong, professional, and well done. First visit. But so far so good.
