Tried Spicy shrimp Inari, spicy battleship and Sapporo rolls. Spicy battleship is a little messy but tastes really good. Sapporo roll comes with raw yellowtail on top which was not as thin as you would expect on a sushi but it was good. Spicy shrimp inari was perfect and I'd recommend you try it. I never had sushi in inari before and I loved it. Will definitely go again to try more items on the menu. They have quite a variety. read more

The miso soup was good but the teriyaki steak was chewy and the california roll i had received wasn't flavorful. It's too bad their food isn't better or else i would go all the time. Was excited to try such a highly rated place. We ordered a bunch of rolls to try. As they all came out, I was a little disappointed at their size. There really wasn't much to the rolls as they were kinda small compared to other sushi places I've eaten at. The fish was fresh, but the flavor of the rolls was only okay. Wife and I stopped in here today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is very clean and modern. Nice decor gives it a subtle Japanese atmosphere. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Attentive even though it is not a true sit down restaurant. As for the food, we had a Spicy Tuna roll, Spicy Battleship, and a Fantasy roll. All three of the rolls were quickly prepared, but that did not affect the quality. All three were tasty, but the Fantasy, as other reviewers have said, was awesome. Probably the worse sushi in town. I normally go to Fleurichi Express and decided to try this one out because of all the reviews. Let's just say the rice was under cooked, the rolls were rolled terrible & literally a quarter of what fleurichi gives you in rice and fish, the fish was fishy, & didn't taste fresh. Putting poke on your menu don't mean you look for excuse to raise prices and drop th size of your rolls. Worst sushi I've ever had, I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered the egg rolls, green dragon roll and the spicy shrimp roll. Green dragon roll (appx $10): (shrimp tempura, cucumber, "spicy sauce", topped with avocado). The shrimp tempura was so over fried that the shrimp was rubbery and hard to chew, the cucumber was slimy, and the avocado was nowhere close to being ripe, it was a whitish yellow and bitter. The spicy sauce tasted like mayonnaise with a bit of paprika. I ate two pieces before deciding it was just too gross to continue eating. Spicy Shrimp Roll (appx $7): (shrimp, avocado, cucumber, spicy sauce). Cucumber was slimy and mushy, avocado was bitter, and the spicy sauce was as I described earlier: mayo and paprika-tasting combo. The shrimp tasted OK, but four slices of my roll didn't have any shrimp in sight. Rice to sushi ratio was ridiculous. Even if the inside of the sushi was good, you'd have a hard time tasting it with the inside amount of rice surrounding it. Once again, I ate two or three pieces before deciding it was inedible. Egg Rolls: They were edible, however they were maybe an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half long. Not worth $3.00. Overall it was an absolute waste of money, I spent $24 and I ate maybe four pieces of sushi, throwing the rest in the trash due to the fact it just wasn't edible. I'm honestly surprised I didn't get food poisoning. Don't waste your money, there's other (far better) places to get quick sushi. read more

Very expensive for not having much of a variety. This place gets 5 stars for what it is. Now it is not meant for your fancy dinner out. This is good food in a clean place. You order at the counter like fast food. You can take it to go. If you want the fancy dishes, take it home. You can dine there with disposable dishes & paper cups. I got a pleasant Bento Box with a hand roll(maguro/avocado/tobiko), 4 pieces of California roll, 2 sashimi maguro/salmon, yummy salad and miso soup, I think it was around just under $10. In between where I live and this place are several other sushi places. This place is so cool, fun, and chill that I swerve so many other places just to get here!! I have work in Fresno and this is place for LA/SF quality sushi. The owner/sushi chef is friendly and prepares some awesome roll combinations. I am a tuna lover and was happy with the sunshine roll and the spicy battleship. You can substitute brown rice for white which is a nice feature. Very fresh, clean and great flavors. read more

We tried this place out for the first time and we weren't sorry! Food was delicious! I am a vegetarian, and tried the tofu teriyaki bowl. It was amazing! Avocado/cucumber roll was good too. My husband liked his entrees as well. We had a little Round ice cream sandwich for dessert. Wow! It was salted caramel bliss! Ambiance was nice, with music in the background. The restaurant was very clean and modern. The owner was extremely nice as was the young lady making Sushi. You really feel welcomed! Welcome to gas station sushi. I will have to say this is one of the worse places for sushi I have ever been to. Dinky size bento box. They might as well say it's kid portion. Flavorless sushi roll.
