I went in for a simple acrylic fill, it was so rushed and not done properly. Even when I asked for it fixed it was not done properly. I typically never complain but if I'm paying 50 bucks for a refill I would like it done properly. I'm am super disappointed with the service i received and I won't be going back unfortunately. read more

As soon as you walk in, you are immediately greeted by several smiling faces. Even when busy, they quickly usher you to a table or chair and get started on your mani/pedi right away. I also love the mini-massage they give while your nails are drying. The only downsides to this place are the extremely "generic nail salon" look they have going (complete lack of decor or personality) and the fact that there is a LOT of chit chat going on. Last time I went, the woman doing my manicure had a conversation with another coworker the entire time, and while I don't usually mind, I had gone for a manicure to relax and destress, and it was hard to do so with all the noise. The prices are competitive and I definitely enjoy the experience overall when I go there. read more

Went for a pedicure and a gel manicure. It costed me $100 for me and my mom. There were quite a few problems. First, the guy who did my feet had made my big toe bleed. Second, when I did my gel nails he rushed me and the nails were terrible. I had nail polish all over my hands. I had asked for square and he made all the nails uneven and just bad. Under new ownership and the experience has totally changed. I go with a friend to get a mani pedi and just relax. It used to be one of my favorite places. Now, you are rushed and pressured into added services as soon as you sit down. Having a short amount of time, we asked to just have a regular mani/pedi. We were pressured to do the $65 pedicure with the operator repeating over and over $5 off. All throughout the pedicure while we tried to chat, the operator kept selling, "callus removal $10, 10 minute massage $10" and when we said no, she rushed through, irritated that she was not able to convince us. You get a lot less then you did before. They actually charge $1 if you use the quick dry oil. Nails were done neatly and look fine. Experience was not relaxing and nothing like the old Sasa that I loved. read more

Before I start my review I just want to make one thing clear. On the walls inside this nail salon there are signs all over that say "$5 off when you give us a 5 star rating on yelp". So that will explain all the good rating you see on here. And the only reason I gave them 2 stars is because there was no wait and the price was good, and decent color selection. Anyways, here is my experience: I went in for the mani-pedi for $25 (which FYI is only for first time customers). When I showed the coupon to the lady she seemed confused/irritated by it but then said "ok". One thing I did not like is that they do not use the plastic liners in the foot baths. Did not seem like the cleanest of places either. The pedicure felt rushed and so did the manicure. I got a 30 second foot/leg massage and maybe a 15 second hand massage. Before she painted my nails she gave me the bill and I told her I also wanted my eyebrows done and to add that on. I then paid and told her the remainder of the money was her tip and again, she seemed baffled. She brought the change back and said "thank you" very quietly. The manicure was pretty quick and then she did my eyebrows. She left a lot of hair remaining after the wax and I had to go home and finish tweezing them myself. After she did my eyebrows she sat me in the chair to dry my nails/toenails. She gave me (no exaggeration) a 5 second back massage and walked away. She then started working on another customer and completely ignored the fact that I was sitting there the rest of the time. Even as I walked out she said nothing. I guess I'm used to nail salons where people at least say "thank you" as you leave. Overall I did not have a good experience at all and would not go back again, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more

This is my favorite nail spa in the span between Fairfield, new haven and middlesex counties! They are very sweet and accommodating - they close at 7pm and accepted everyone even last minute and they stayed until past 7:30. They are very hard workers and take pride in their work. My nail tech was a perfectionist and even though I didn't see anything wrong with my nail, she insisted on redoing it until it was to her liking. The massages are legit and they actually set a timer so if your pedicure comes with a 10 min foot massage you get no less than 10 mins. read more

I had such a horrible experience. I am not sure if I had someone new or what happened.. BUT.. It took her FOREVER to get the gel off my nails. Following 3 tries per nail she decided to just file it off- which I am pretty sure you do not do when theres a lot of gel left on your nails.. Next- she filed my nails and proceeded to try and paint my nails that looked like a two year old filed. I asked her to fix it and she turned my hand around in such an awkward position I thought she was going to break my wrist and began filing again in such a rough way (seemed angry or irriated that I asked her to fix her two seconds file job). She didnt even ask me if it was better.. She moved on to the painting- which also came out horrible. It looked like the same 2 year old painted my nails missing the corners of all of my nails. I regret even paying for this service. The day AFTER I got my nails done, my nail chipped. NOT WORTH THE MONEY FOR A HALF A$$ED SERVICE. Oh, And they have about 10 gel colors. Nothing compared to most salons and charge more. 30 dollars for gel when you can go down the street and pay 24 for a better service! They also will give you a discount if you write a positive review so who knows if the others actually had a great experience so watch out the reviews prior could be for the discount. read more

I had very bad service with Sasa nails.I made appointment for certain time and with particular person. When I arrived I had to wait for any service for 45 minutes and When they invited me for gel manicure girl who I made appointment was busy with another client. So I had service from unprofessional staff who made poor job on my nails and charged me high price for it. I will never go back there and don`t recommend you. read more

PISS POOR. Where do I begin? The water was cold for my pedicure and manicure, they left my friend during her pedicure at least six times, I was literally done with both my mani pedi by the time she was done with just her pedi, my cuticles we not cut sufficiently and by that I mean I still have hang nails EVERYWHERE, and the paint job on my nails is completely uneven, bubbly, and on my skin. Also, my friend said she didn't want a back massage, CLEARLY SAID "NO THANK YOU" and the lady just didn't listen and put a bunch of disgusting lotion on her hands, pulled out her shirt, and splattered it all over her back and got it everywhere. Took a friend there this past Friday for mani pedi. Louis tended to me nails. Have to say it was the speediest pedi either of us had ever had! (Not in a good way.) girls day out turned it to drive through nail service. Granted it was Friday morning, but no one was waiting. I'm so upset by this place. I received a UV gel tip set on Thursday. Today is Monday and 3 nails are lifting and one popped off totally! I'm so upset by this. I paid $63 and tipped $10 because I appreciate a service being done... however this is unacceptable. The guy doing my nails was also on the phone CONSTANTLY. I mean between checking his' personal phone for texts as well as answering at least 6 phone calls while the other girls sat on their butts texting on their own phones the whole time. I felt like i was just a chore to them. I don't even want to ever go back ever again even to repair these because I don't trust them. My friend recommended Star nail in West Haven. I'm going there from now on. Her nails are always beautiful and she speaks nothing but good things about them. Never going here again and I'm telling EVERYONE I know who asks where I get my nails done or talks about nails NOT to go here. And this is not my first time here. I used to get pedicures here all the time years ago. This place seriously went down hill. Good luck to whoever goes here, you'll get a nasty fungal infection under your nail once it starts lifting two days after you get them done. read more

I used to go to this salon for 3 years. It is fairly inexpensive, and the staff used to be nice and always give me a great manicure and pedicure. But it seems like the management and staff have changed, and the last 2 times I went there, especially today, the service was terrible. First of all, they speak very little English, which is not a huge problem, but when I try to explain what I want, or tell them I want something a little different than they are doing, they start to give you an attitude. They immediately would start to complain amongst themselves that I had the nerve to tell them it wasn't correct. You have to pay before they start, and give them a tip, so there is no way to know before how the manicure and pedicure will turn out. The staff member that gave me the manicure and pedicure had long hair, and it kept brushing on my nails and messing up the job. I told her that I wanted my nails done shorter than she was doing, and she just ignored me. She removed some skin from the bottom of my foot and then rinsed off the soap, but I told her I wanted more skin removed since she only did a little bit. She got mad and went to her manager to tell him she didn't want to. The manager came over, and I told him that either he gives me my money back or she finish the job, since that is what this business had done in the past. Finally she did it, but didn't rinse the soap off the second time. At this point, I didn't argue. I just wanted to talk to the manager and leave. The quality of the work was much worse than I have experienced practically everywhere else, and definitely much worse than in the past times I have gone there. All during this time, I saw her making faces as if she didn't like what she was doing, and even though I don't speak her language, I could tell that she was complaining to her coworkers about me. After putting up with their attitude and them not giving me what I was asking for, I asked to speak to the manager. Like the staff, he spoke almost no English. And showed me that he really didn't care. I asked if he was the owner, and he said he didn't know when an owner would be in. I asked for my money back and showed him what was wrong, he refused. I'm definitely never going back. It used to be good, but now is on my list for the worst nail salon I've ever been to. read more

I will never go to this place ever again! I went to get my acrylic nails taken off. Any normal place would soak the nail and take them off carefully. Nope this guy takes out a MetroNorth Train Card and puts it under my nails and starts to rip them off!! You cant make this stuff up. That is for one disgusting and two hurts so bad. If I wanted them taken off that way i would have stayed home and done it myself. I have bruising underneath the nails he did that way. Then when he painted my nails he put so much nail polish on that it dried with bubbles and I had to ask him to paint them again. So he did them while i was standing up. I used SaSa nails for years until they created a horrible fungus infection in my toenails. I ended up losing my left large toenail and it took a full year to grow back. I should have been more cautious since the staff turnover was high and the gentleman that was doing my nails that day seemed brand-new. read more

HORRIBLE! I was visiting from out of town and stopped in to get my eyebrows waxed. When I walked in I asked the price for an eyebrow wax. I was told 8.00. The person who waxed my eyebrows had no clue what they were doing and ruin them. When explained how unhappy I was to the person who purported to be in charge, he told me the price was 8.50 I was appalled that he charged me extra and when I complained even further about the fact that my eyebrows were ruined, he grabbed the phone and threatened to call the police on me...I walked out in tears! This was truly awful. I was upsold to the $70 spa pedicure, and from the moment I got to the chair, there was tension. I have a bad back, so bending down to roll up my pants takes a slow approach; she asked me if I were ready before I got to the second pant leg. She was impatient, negative in her comments, and clearly did not enjoy or strive for providing a relaxing experience (again, $70 bucks--I work a minimum wage job, so figure what it took me to get there). Not only have I had better, I am always offered a free manicure, brow or lip waxing--something, anything--and when I quietly shared my dissatisfaction with the manager, she did nothing but start a sentence saying, "Next time..."
