I have had a wonderful experience at Ceci's every time I've gone. This is definitely the best gel manicure I've gotten in the southern CT area. When I first walked in, I noticed how nicely the establishment was set up and decorated. You can tell that the team at Ceci's put time and effort into setting up an environment that is beautiful and tranquil for customers. Everything is very neat and clean, and the nail stations allow for ample space between each one. There is also a screen separating the nail artist's face from the customer's face, which shows how careful they are with covid. I also noticed the kindness and grace that each employee showed to everyone who walked in. After my manicure was finished, I wanted to sit by my friend and chat with her while her manicure was finishing up. One of the employees graciously pulled over a chair for me and made sure I was comfortable. I will definitely keep coming back here! read more

This place is amazing!!! I just moved to the area and found this on yelp. So glad I went!! The pedicure (essential) was amazing. My nail tech took so much care providing me the perfect white nails to start summer. It's very reasonably priced! They even include a thorough massage and paraffin. My heels needed it. I then went to Hilda for my gel nail full set. I asked for an American and she accommodated. The full set is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. Came here for the first time to get a gel refill last week. I made an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes for someone to start on my nails. I liked the end result but the next day my nail already chipped. I went back and had to wait 45 minutes just to get one nail fixed! My lady couldn't find the color, but I thought she did, she finished my nail and I walked out the door and looked at my thumb, it was not even close to the color I had on the rest of my fingers (picture included) ! I went back inside and was like this isn't even close to the right shade and so finally she found the right color and redid it. Besides that my other thumb is already chipping and I feel like I can peel the nail polish off which ive never experienced with gel. Maybe its just the acrylics that were the problem because there were a lot of people there getting regular mani/pedi's. I was excited to try this place because of the good reviews but definitely not coming back :( read more

I'm really hoping I'm a one-off experience, but I came here based on the reviews since it's highly rated. I wanted to just get a gel removal and regular manicure. I had called ahead and made an appointment. After I was sat down someone started the polish removal process, and then moved on to another customer. I ended up sitting there for almost 30 minutes and finally had to ask someone if anyone was going to come back. I'm guessing no one was assigned to me because I waited a few more minutes before anyone showed up. I wanted to leave but went through with the manicure. The new woman helping me didn't ask about the nail shape, used gel again when I asked for regular polish, and made one of my fingers bleed but made no comment about it. Again I do hope this was isolated for me because it seemed like everyone else was having a good experience. Just wasn't it for me. read more

I walked in without an appointment, looking for a pedicure. I didn't wait at all, even though they were busy. I think they like it if you make an appointment, FYI. I got a $45 pedicure that lasted about an hour. It was heavenly. The employees were friendly but unassuming, so if you wanted to chat with them that was fine, but if you wanted some alone time, also fine. They have plastic clear dividers between each massage chair as well as the manicure stations. At the end of the pedicure, I was offered a quick back rub, which I turned down. This poor lady had just been scrubbing and rubbing my feet...I didn't need any more attention! Upon paying (you can leave a tip on your card!), I got a cute little gift bag with socks inside. Given the great reviews, I was excited to try this salon for the first time for an eyebrow and lip wax. I called ahead on Friday morning and they told me I could come in at noon. When I walked in right on time, they were quite busy, but I immediately went back with one of the technicians. I'm sorry to say I quickly became convinced I was one of her first customers, ever, as she just didn't seem to have any confidence with the procedures. The results were patches of hair on the ends and slightly uneven brows. The lip wax was even worse; she had to go over multiple times (a not altogether pleasant experience), and in the end, left a thin trail of hair close to my lip and residual wax. I've done eyebrow and lip waxing for years, and I'm pretty easy going with different technicians' styles, etc. - but this was a whole different ball game. I'm relatively new to the area and was excited to find something great close by - for my next waxing needs, I'll definitely be venturing further down the road. read more

I came to Ceci's with my bridal party to get our nails done before the wedding. The pedicure was amazing - they are thorough and remove so much dead skin with the callus treatment. The massage was amazing! I got gel polish for my hands and the woman picked out the PERFECT bridal shade for my nails that matched my toes. Went here on a whim after getting my hair cut in New Haven. I found this place and Yelp and given the good reviews, decided to give it a try! I was given a warm welcome and they were able to fit me in for a manicure right away - great start! As I sat there getting my nails done, I could tell that this place has a lot of regulars. Moms and their daughters came in, sisters came in, and Ceci knew almost everyone. The vibe reminded me of when my mom and I used to go to the same nail salon every week when I was little. The place was clean and comfortable. My nails did not last super long, but I did not do the gel. I bet if I did the gel or gel finish, they would have lasted longer. The spa is very clean, the staff are all very sweet and hardworking. My issue is with the pricing and quality of work- $60 for acrylic dip (they don't offer acrylic any other way) and the fill costs the same as the set! I went 3 times- set, and then two fills. Every time I had a nail pop off within a week. Ceci is very knowledgeable and didn't over-prep my nail when she did the initial set, but I just can't justify paying that much. I've paid far less elsewhere for nails that wore better. read more

The technicians ask you about your day, listen to requests, and consistently make sure you are feeling your best. I am always very pleased with my manicure. I went today with my friend and both of us were cut by our nail technicians and ended up bleeding. My nail technician was also very rough with my hands too and was digging her nail under my nail bed. I asked for the shape to be square and all of my nails were very uneven and not rounded out at the edges. There was also no communication going on at all. If I had known my nails had looked this bad I would have her refile to make them even. I never wrote a review before on Yelp but I decided to do so primarily for Ceci. This place is AMAZING! Ceci herself is so kind and caring, I just love their customer service AND how they do nails. I had an issue where I had gel dip powder with tips on my nails and after one week they started falling off and they were chipping on the sides (Mainly because my nails are paper thin with horrible cuticles, has nothing to do with this nail salon). I called to make a very last minute appointment and when I got in there I told her the situation. She accommodated for the fact that I was having issues with the nails and fixed everything free of charge. No other salon I have been to would have done that. 10/10 recommend seeing Ceci! Worst pedicure I have ever had. My nails were cut too short and uneven. Some are longer than others. One is cut on an angle. The nail polish was done horribly. I asked them to take it off because I had somewhere to be and rather have nothing on my toes. Very disappointed. I've went there before and loved it. I don't think I will be going back. read more
