My gel nails lasted over 3-4 weeks with no lifting or chipping. Definitely worth your money. Plus their prices are very reasonable. I saw another nail tech a month after my appointment here and she was wondering where I got the gel done because they held up so nicely :) I also get my legs waxed here from time to time and always very happy with my results. I usually only stop in when visiting family in Oxford but I would happily make the trip from New Haven for these great quality services.

I really liked Cindi and the care she took. My complaints were just that with gel removal, you really have to be careful, which is one of the reasons I stopped going for a while. Abrasive removal might be more forgiving with younger nails, but at 50, mine can't hold up. Some technicians will take their time, use a wooden stick, one time Cindi used a hot towel to help soften the enamel. Others use a tool that reminds me of a dremel tool that is way too abrasive. Overall, the salon is clean, the techs are pleasant enough and they have good movies on to watch if you need a distraction. Just be proactive with the care for your nails.

They're easy to understand and also listen to what you have to say as a client. I was born with syndactyly and unfortunately two of my finger nails are quite different and very very sensitive. EVERY salon I've been to either makes it uncomfortable by not painting it, making a comment, or a weird noise when they see it. If they do paint them, they miss part of the nail...Not ONE single person here has done that. In fact, they are gentle, kind, and thorough. I have to give extra props to LuLu who was all of the above: gentle, friendly, great communication, great manicurist...she also went the extra mile when I was indecisive about color by showing me the two I was between on my nails. It was an extra step for her but she offered and gracefully. Speaking to the environment-they have at least 14 people working. They have plenty of stations. Are they spotless -no, but they also have a revolving door of customers. Ive never been when they open, but I'm sure they start out much cleaner than they are by the end of the day...They've always used new tools on my nails! The look is more like the nail salons from the 90s/that were in the mall. If you're looking for fancy then maybe this isn't the place, but if you want a great gel mani (or a mani for a child) that is well done, lasts and is affordable I HIGHLY recommend.
