I set out seeking help for a hair catastrophe that needed a dire fix! (haha long story). Upon arrival, I was met with the salon owner, Casey. I gave her a quick run down of my predicament & she was able to fit me in. Despite feeling a bit stressed & defeated, her warmth, kindness & understanding put me at ease. Considering the shape of my hair, I wasn't sure I'd have even a decent outcome. However, as I told her, she was an absolute god send! Not only did she salvage majority of my locks, but it turned out beautiful! The final result was way better than expected & I was incredibly thrilled & relieved. I am beyond appreciative of her phenomenal skills & humility. She didn't have to, but Casey went the extra mile & surpassed it. Not only are her 'cuts' classic, but so is she. The entire salon gave off a wholesome & professional atmosphere. Definitely a class act establishment in my book. The manager said that what I was asking for was very basic and simple and that way it wouldn't be a problem. Halfway through I was suffering in a lot of pain. I don't know exactly what they were doing to me, but when I went to the bathroom (which was broken) I was horrified at the image, staring back at me. I looked like a cheap prostitute. The eyelashes were so full and thick and nothing like the natural look I had showed them. I immediately went to the manager, and the owner was with her, and he tried to convince me that I looked great and better than the photo that I had shown him. He never apologized, and they made no attempt to reconcile the situation. When the job was finished, I insisted that I should not be paying for this because it was nothing like what I asked for and I had to really fight hard for that. The male owner was so intensely rude to me that I could not pay for this! I insisted that I should not have to pay to look like this, and he kept trying to convince me about how how much time and effort the worker put into me and that she deserved to be compensated. It was quite an argument, and I felt terrible about myself when I left. This business was completely unprofessional. I was treated so horribly. Not only was the service ugly, but the business aesthetic is akin to your local DMV. I was also forced to listen to an hour and a half news broadcast from President Trump at full-volume. Not exactly the relaxing service environment. Usually when you're getting your brows or lashes or hair done, you're in a beautiful location, listening to calm, peaceful music. Her prices were very reasonable compared to other med spas so she decided to give this one a try. Michelle highly recommended micro-dermabrasion as a treatment for this, and my mother has been going for this treatment about once ever 3 weeks since then - as well as some sort of a radio frequency treatment (can't recall the exact name). Since she has been going, her acne scars and large pores have been significantly reduced, and skin elasticity greatly increased. Michelle is a nurse aesthetician who is very knowledgeable about the treatments and products she uses. She is very good at explaining how they work and what they accomplish. She's also not one to BS you into buying a treatment you don't need. I have only visited Secret Beauty a couple of times myself, but I would like to add that not only is she a super genuine person, she's also a complete bad-ass. If you visit (which I hope you do!) make sure to ask her to tell you about the time she chased down some kid trying to steal her car.

I have multiple issues with this. Everyone has emergencies, I get it. But, I was not given the courtesy of a phone call, then the excuse of not having my information to get in touch sooner was used. What kind of business keeps all its contact information and scheduling on one phone that could be misplaced or with someone who has an emergency? Also, what kind of a business doesn't actually verbally call someone after not showing up, and then just texts them over 6 hours later? What a waste of my time. I purchased a groupon for this "business" and I called groupon to be refunded. When I called, they reported that the seller (secret beauty) had CANCELLED my Groupon already with no explanation. The woman, Ivy, who did the waxing for me was extremely kind, professional, and gave me the least painful waxing I've ever had! I am someone who is known to have skin irritations from things such as hair waxing, and I'm astounded that I have no signs of bumps, bleeding, or pain whatsoever.
