Received my spray tan at the Newtown Cleanglow location. Followed all of the prep guidelines, explained the rich deep tan I was hoping to achieve and was completed disappointed with my spray tan. While I was explicit in describing what I was expecting from my tan, and that I was wearing a halter top, open back dress to the event, that I wanted a deep dark tan to cover all existing bathing suit strap marks as I have many since I live in Florida!
I contacted Clean glow the morning following the spray tan to express my disappointment. Was told that I could travel to a location 45 minutes away to receive a "touch up". My consultant passed me on to the owner Tiffany who requested photos, to prove I was not tan! After several photos and long excessive response times, the clock had run out. Unfortunately, because I was getting ready for a Wedding, time did not allow for me to travel to the consultant, nor did they offer to travel to me, as they are "traveling " consultants. Therefore, to achieve the look I was desiring, I had to reapply a moisturizer with bronzing drops to my entire body! Not what I was expecting to do the morning of the wedding, especially after paying $80, plus tip for my underwhelming tan which was booked months ago after purchasing my dress.
I requested a refund from Tiffany, and was again asked to send more photos to "prove" my tan was not adequate before she would process a refund. Was told I would receive a refund after once again providing additional pictures to prove I was not tan. Sent those photos two days ago, and no response!
UPDATE: reached out again today, inquiring when I would receive my refund since I had submitted photos days before. I was told that after further review, Tiffany decided that she felt my tan was adequate, and that I never asked for a deep dark tan! That is absolutely untruthful! So much so that I pulled up a photo of my daughter who had received a spray tan a few weeks ago.In my opinion, she did not look tan at all. I reiterated that this was not was I was looking for, rather a deep dark tan. Unconscionable that the business owner would tell me, the customer what I did or did not ask for! Yes, I signed the waiver, but assumed it was written as I asked, as it was a quick twenty minute process, at best and was told we needed to move along as another client needed the room.
Beware of this business, the customer is not valued here!
Just a quick wham bam and take your money! Then tell you what you asked for!
