The representative suggested that I do a monthly membership because it's "more economical" - I told her that I didn't want to do this because I often forget to cancel, and she told me that she would put a note on my account to cancel the membership so I wouldn't have to remember this. Fast forward a few months and I realize that in December I was still being charged. I called and spoke with a representative who told me she could see the note in the account, but that I'd always need a signed copy of cancelation and they can't just cancel memberships. I told her I was out of state and how do we facilitate this? She told me she'd speak to a manager and get back to me. No one ever called. I then sent an email through the corporate website explaining the issue and I still never heard back! We are now in February, and I am STILL being charged a monthly membership. I called again the Westport salon today to try to cancel my account, and the manager very abruptly told me (after putting me on hold) that she was too busy to talk to me. She then snapped that she talked to corporate about me and it's their job to call me and cancel my membership. She was very rude and abrasive and refused to even understand what I was saying. She then told me to come into the salon to cancel, refusing to hear me when I told her again that I moved across the country! This was all a bit shocking - a true "bait and switch" case and I would be very wary of signing any contract with this company.

As I'm on my way to her wedding, only two days after I got the spray tan, please look at my legs to indicate how uneven this spray was applied. I had requested a Sr. employee too! I swear by Benefit in Westport and go there when I need a spray tan because they do a fantastic job, but they were completely booked up. The five-star rating is specifically for Mallory. I have been coming here for years and always see…read moreMallory. She does a great job every time and is so friendly and personable. I have tried several other places for waxing (including the Benefit in Westport) and Mallory is the only one who I've kept coming back to. I have social anxiety and I usually hate having any beauty services done (haircuts, manicures, etc) but I actually look forward to seeing Mallory. The manager (I assume that's who she is because she presents as having authority) is always very rude. I have never had a positive interaction with her. During your birthday week you can receive a free brow wax, so I took advantage of that and also got a brow tint (knowing I would have to pay for the extra service). The manager told me several times that only the brow wax was covered and I have to pay for the tint and tip on the whole amount. I already knew all of that and did not appreciate her treating me like that, she was practically berating me. She has such a negative attitude and is so unpleasant to be around. I continue to put up with her though just for Mallory. The atmosphere in the boutique is also uncomfortable sometimes. I only come there for waxing services, although they do carry the full line of Benefit products. I do love Benefit but it is cheaper for me to buy their products at other stores where I can earn rewards or use coupons. But whenever you are there, especially if you are waiting for your appointment, employees will follow you around and push products on you trying to make a sale. After you get waxed they will ask if you want some aloe and I always say no (even though I would like some) because I don't want them to pitch any products. I understand they must have sales goals to meet but it is very off putting. Overall, it is worth it to come here for Mallory.
