There is an adorable sitting area which entails four leather-like club chairs that surrounds a coffee table which evokes a sit and stay vibe. My favorite space in the salon is her wash bowl. Yep! I had blonde highlights that were very grown out and wanted to dye over them back to my natural which is a warm medium brown. My hair came out pitch black with a red tone to it. The service took long and she kept stopping and left the dye sitting on my head for about 1 hour then came back and put more dye on my head and then left me sit??? My skin is very very sensitive and it was sitting on it to the point where my scalp was burning a bit. My hair was not rinsed well and it left a film like there was too much conditioner that was still on my hair and there was dye left on my shirt, my face, and my scalp and hairline. Then I was told to just use rubbing alcohol at home to get it off. And I heard my stylist talking very loudly about me in another room saying what I was asking for was not realistic and it was too hard and if it was taking to long for a simple color it's not her problem... Mind you she kept stopping and would not wash my hair out left a treatment I didn't ask for on my hair for 30 mins in between washing me out and when I called raising my concern it was brushed off and they would not give me a refund. Mind you I am a 17 year old girl in high school who paid 150$ to leave the salon in tears!! Thank you Mimi's salon but you just lost a client

I have very dark hair so I know it can be a challenge. But not for Kirsten. She took her time, she added toner when she wasn't quite happy with how it was coming out, and wow! Do not think you are too old for a fresh look, a fun highlight, or even a new hair style. That's the other part of my review. I haven't been happy with the cuts I have been getting (and I only go to hair salons and pay a lot for their services), but with one visit that wasn't even supposed to include a cut, Kirsten made me love my hair cut again! She just took a few minutes and cleaned it up and gave it a little bit of a shaping that she can build on next time. After picking out the perfect colors I honestly wasn't even nervous about the results, and I absolutely love how my hair came out!
