I've been coming to this salon religiously for quite some time. My nails are always done quickly and efficiently. There's never a moment where my nails are being done but the nail tech is walking away to do other things like I've experienced in other salons. I recommend making an appointment rather than just showing up so you're not waiting. If you know you're getting your nails done that day, just make a quick call to the salon and they'll send you a text confirmation of your appointment. I picked one nude color they must of mixed the polish with red polish ... as she polishing the color is coming out crazy looking. And I tell her she continues to ignore me and then say I'm all set .. I read the reviews prior to coming here but nothing was utterly jarring so I decided to try them out. The place was very clean and the owner was pleasant and accommodating. When I began my pedicure, I realized that all the artist did was rinse the tools with water versus using new ones. I made her quickly get new ones. That's absolutely DISGUSTING. Water can't rid of a possible fungus. Then she put hand-soap in the pedicure bowl versus using body soap. I was so turned up but I was pressed for time and had to continue. Although she did a good job, they do a poor job in the cleanliness. For that alone, I'd say do not come here. read more

I had an appointment with Nancy for a manicure, pedicure , lip and eyebrow wax. It started out that she put a different nail polish color on my toes than what I had selected. I didn't notice until after I left, due to the lighting in the salon. This was my first time getting a wax there and Nancy BURNT BOTH OF MY EYELIDS AND LIP. I didn't realize how bad it was until it started burning after I left the salon. I called and spoke with the owner who said the redness will go away in a couple of days and to put vaseline on both my eyebrows and lip. I ended up getting an infection and I had to go to my eye doctor to get a steroid and an anti-biotic. This alone cost me more than my salon visit. Keep in mind, I told Nancy that I just lost my mother and sister in the past 3 months and that it was my birthday coming up and that I really needed to treat myself. I came here last week and was happy with the service. I returned today to get a gel manicure only to be turned away. With 2 hours before closing and only one person waiting, I was told they are too busy and to come back tomorrow. The prices are fair and the service is nice but customer convenience doesn't seem to be a concern. 4-19-18 I came back yesterday around 5 PM and received gel color. Unfortunately, I am not happy with the result. I typically keep my nails square and the woman who did my nails rounded them out and they are extremely uneven. Additionally, there is excess paint on my cuticles and around my fingers that I feel should have been removed before I left. Everyone there is extremely nice and I do have friends and relatives that enjoy it there, but so far I have not had a good experience. read more

We went to Bella Nails and Spa for pre-wedding nails this week. I've had gel put on my nails many times and it never turned out quite this poorly. We had the last appt of the day so I understand but not when I paid $64 plus tip for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The manicure is messy with polish all over every nail and multiple nails being crooked. The pedicure did not include the massage and I got no lotion on my feet. Overall the nail polish on my toes looks good, poor job filing, but the pedicure treatment was not worth the price paid. I was hopeful this would be a good visit but I will not return, and don't recommend the salon to anyone for gel. read more

A nail salon that I had went to prior to going to this one had left my nails way to long and made one of my nails crooked. I went into this shop and spoke to the owner about my situation, and if he could cut my nails down and file them up nicely. Wanted to look at gel colors and the male refused to allow me to look. They discriminated against me. What they failed to realize I am a professional and work for the State of Connecticut. The only reason I patronize Bella Nails & Spa is because of Susan (who herself deserves a 5-star rating); it's only because of her presence that I'm giving the salon itself 3 stars (earned in relation to my comments that shall follow). Susan has been my mani/pedi stylist for years and when she joined this salon I followed. She is AMAZING and her work is utter PERFECTION. She's so warm/friendly/personable and I recommend her to everyone that I know who is looking for a Grade A++ manicure/pedicure. The salon itself is very modern, clean and comfortable (and for that it deserves 5-stars). Absolutely beautiful. Whenever I've called to make an appointment, the gentleman who takes the reservation is very friendly and courteous. This gentleman deserves 5 stars as well! However, the other female manicurists/pedicurists who work in this salon are not friendly AT ALL! IF I COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE RATING WITHOUT BESMIRCHING THE SALON AS A WHOLE, I WOULD!!! When these women address me upon entry they're very cold and abrupt...downright nasty! I've caught them staring at me a number of times as if I have 10 heads and they act as if I'm either going to steal something or that my business is not welcomed. If it weren't for the fact that Susan works here, I would not patronize this establishment. It's really unfortunate because I've been nothing but courteous and friendly ... I say, "Hello" to everyone whenever I've entered and they don't even acknowledge your presence. This isn't your typical nail salon. It is spacious, modern, extremely clean, brand new massage chairs. They have two big screen tvs and a beautiful drying station. Also they have bunch of polishes behind the counter in boxes that seem to be a gel product that my manicurist tried to use for a regular manicure and the coverage looked like something that you would get in a child's party favor! Its covid and I've been taking a break with the nail salon. With the holiday around the corner I decided to get my nails done- big regret! The nail tech piled the acrylic on without sculpting them down and used a gel nail polish that I cannot remove without a nail file. I did not ask for gel and was charged double (not like I could refund a completed nail job). The nail tech also kept stopping to text and call on his phone. The worst manicure I have ever gotten and I live in queens New York so that says a lot! The woman was rushing on my nails since the moment she started working on them. I told her I wanted long nails she cut them at a good length and then after she put the fell on the filed them down to LITTLE NUBS. each finger is a different shape. None of them are even. My right thumbnail is cut on a slant. My right hand ring finger looks like they didn't put the second coat of polish on it so it's a completely different color. I have red polish all over the sides of my nails on my skin and the best part MY NAIL ALREADY LIFTED OFF. I will never come back here. Not to mention a few months ago I came here and the guy scammed me into ten dollars. I just got a gel fill and he told me my total was 50$ and he was charging me to "cut back my nails" first of all their prices are way over priced to begin with. 50$ for a shitty manicure? No thanks.
