Waxes here can last up to 6 weeks which is wild. She is a great communicator and is easily accessible via phone (which if I weren't as shy as I am and had actually contacted her to see if she had openings I would have avoided the Lunchbox debacle of 2019 and the EWC debacle of 2020). The moral of the story is, don't cheat on your esthetician. I highly recommend.

Given my horrible experiences with other area chains, I decided to pray and go to this location after seeing Jenteel P's review. This location is the best one, honestly. Front desk is nice and communicates like normal people, it's clean and smells nice, you don't wait forever for people to get ready. I can honestly say that Tyasia is the truth, you could fall asleep and wake up 7 minutes (!) later completely done (it is really that gentle) and it lasts. If you have coarse hair it you will not be disappointed, she knows what she is doing and is very thorough. I am grateful for Jenteel's review, and hope you will patronize the Hamden location, they know what good customer service is.

My waxer was phenomenal, made me feel so comfortable and kept me laughing the entire time! She truly is great, which is why I won't include her name. However, right when leaving I already noticed my legs felt stubbly, and now that I'm home I've noticed just how stubble covered they are, with strips of hair still present. My Brazilian feels more smooth overall, but there are multiple strips of hair left as well. Very disappointed as I definitely will have to shave again before this weekend.

Heidi, my pedicurist, was exceptional. She was kind, attentive, gentle and thorough, and she took her time with every step. I left absolutely (and literally) tickled lol. I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time however I had gone quite frequently in the past to an amazing nail technician and place. One - it's very cold in there. Not too pleasant when you're sitting there for nails, and wearing fairly warm shoes. Two - the "quick dry" spray doesn't dry. Not to put your coat on isn't an option in the winter in New England. Having a place to dry your nails needs to be in place or atleast communicating to your client just sit here for x more minutes then we can check them. And lastly a smooth looking nail is expected when you pay for nails. I do my nails all the time at home the only different is that smooth finish you hope to achieve by a nail technician. The simple nail art did come out beautiful. Honestly, the salon itself is a no for me altogether with a less than average experience. I don't recommend it. I can be more specific of other issues but I honestly don't like leaving these kinds of reviews. I think the salon owner needs to pay more attention to details while there are far too many nail salons to choose from that capitalize on one of these issues. Maybe it was a bad first experience but i won't be returning.

I am not a stranger to waxing as I have done it for at least a decade, but she made sure no hair was left behind, using hard wax and then strips to ensure my happiness. I was thoroughly impressed. I think they all charge a bit higher than other local salons. The place itself was super clean and I was in and out in no time.
