I have been coming here on and off for the past 3 years. Aman did a good job on my thread and tint, though I will say, for the record: Aruba is the best, followed by Aman, then Naz. Naz is good if you want thinner brows. Aruba, her daughter, is awesome and you should see her. I will go back because of its affordability ($32). It's still cash only. read more

(In response to your complaint Aruba T. 8-5-2020) This is how you speak to a potential customer? When we spoke, why didn't you inform me that you do not take male clients? You lied and said you were booked for the whole day, when in fact, I had my white friend call in to book an appointment with you and you accepted right after you denied me services. If you cater to women only, it should be specified. I find it odd you say you don't cater to men when one of your listed services is, "back waxing". Women usually don't need to wax their backs as it is a masculine trait to have back hair. It sounds like you are running a sexist establishment, which means you are discriminating against me based on my sex. Lastly, I am black; you are not black. The term, "person of color" can refer to anyone who is non-white and as you know, there are stories of "people of color" (Asian, Arab, Indian) who show racism toward black people at their businesses. I feel that discrimination is at work so I am going to show my attorney documentation of this and prior interactions. read more

Naz Threading & Beauty Salon - Aruba T. - Waxing Near Me - Hamden, Connecticut

I found Naz Threading & Beauty on Yelp and figured I would try. I got my eyebrows & lip threaded as well as a facial. The threading was great ( which is why I gave two stars) and the women was nice throughout all services. The Facial was the worst I have ever experienced. When I did not have a tank top on under my sweatshirt I was told to put on a random dirty shirt ( There is a picture of it). After that the facial started off with an overwhelming amount of oil that got in my hair, mouth, and felt disgusting. Once she realized it was getting into my hair she put a towel headband in my hair ( too late) . Throughout the facial I had multiple products in my mouth. By the end the products were still in my hair and my skin was red .Also the facial was $55.00!!! I do not think it was very sanitary and I will not be returning for any service. read more

Good eyebrow threading. I can't speak to their other services, but it seems reasonably priced, and they keep good hours. They do take awhile to thread, which causes exponentially more pain. I've been threading for 10 years now and I've never had someone go so slow - especially on a simply clean up! Salon also looked a little dirty. read more

Naz Threading & Beauty Salon - Entrance way really nice - Waxing Near Me - Hamden, Connecticut

First time at Naz's. I am so happy with the results. They were awesome and professional. Prices are great. It is always difficult to find a place you can trust. I found my place. I highly recommend it. read more

I specifically told the person threading me that I did not want to have my face waxed because it is very sensitive. However, the person proceeds to ask to wax my face and I say not to wax my face, but that it was okay to wax below it. The person ended up waxing my face ignoring all of my requests which lead to bruising. Do not recommend as it is also highly expensive. read more

I moved to CT from NY and have been desperately looking to do my eyebrows. I'm so happy I found Naz. She's great and even did my eyebrows better than my regular eyebrow lady in NY! read more

Very good service. Quick and efficient! The salon is clean and appears to be well lit. Eyebrow threading is always done extremely well! I've recommended this salon to many friends. The wait is never long! This is my favorite place to go for eyebrow threading and waxing. read more

let me start off by saying if I can give this place a zero I would! my sister daughter and I went in for up dos for a family wedding. We called ahead of time and were told the up dos were $40 and when we arrived they gave us different prices. I said okay that's fine as long as it's worth it. I noticed they didn't have the proper equipment needed and the place was very tight but we had no choice because the wedding was in a few Hours. long story short, they did a horrible HORRIBLE job on my hair I was close to crying. I told them what they were doing wrong and they kept insisting it was fine. when I finished I told the lady this is not what we agreed on and she basically knew they don't know how to do hair but insisted I pay $50 for a very bad hair do. I told her I'm not paying $50 for this then she began yanking and brushing my hair and damping it with a load of water STAY AWAY from this place. It's very unprofessional and the ladies who work there have no idea what they are doing! read more

I have so many wonderful things to say about Naz and the new salon!! My friends recommended her when I first moved to CT and I have been going to her ever since :) Profesionally: Naz is highly skilled in beauty care. Whether it is eyebrows, waxing, henna or facials (and many more) she gives her 100% at all times and her work ethic is amazing as customer satisfaction is very important to her. She tries to accommodate her customers' schedules as much as possible. Ambience: The Hamden branch is a brand new salon which looks very elegant and soothing. It's clean and well maintained with a seperate divisions for threading, waxing and facials. Personally: Naz is a very warm and affectionate person. She makes everyone feel welcomed and comfortable :) I wish her all the best!! read more

Great eyebrow threading service! It was my first time in this salon and first time threading. I was told it hurts a lot, but the employee was very gentle and it was almost painless! Price is very cheap and my eyebrows grew back so much later than usual. Would always revisit! read more

This was the first time I've gotten my eyebrows threaded by someone in CT. My brows ended up looking great, however, the price was a little higher than what I'm used to. She charged me $12 for the brows and at other places I normally only pay $6-$8. They also only take cash which was a little inconvenient. read more

Naz is an absolute sweetheart! She's friendly, fast, and her work is incredible!!! I only see her for my threading! Highly recommended!!!

I had been getting my eyebrows done by the same lady for the past decade, so when I came to CT I was nervous I would never find another aesthetician who could do my eyebrows just as well. Upon a friends recommendation, I went to Naz's salon and it was the best decision ever! She did my eyebrows even better! She is such a sweet lady! She is easy to converse with and I feel like I have known her forever! Her female haircuts are pretty fab too! I would highly recommend her to everyone! read more

This is the second time going. The first time went well! I have thick eyebrows and I love them thick, so everytime I get my eyebrows done, I make sure to let them know I don't want my eyebrows to be skinny, I even showed her a picture of one that got done some months ago. This time around when I went it was a different lady so I told her and showed her the picture. Guess what she did? She make my eyebrows super skinny and now I look ugly. I like the place but if you can't follow simple instructions it makes me never want to go to the place again! Please listen to your customers preferences and don't go by your own! read more

I go to Naz for brow shaping and facials. She is absolutely the best! I only trust her with my eyebrows. Every time I go they look amazing. I get compliments all the time. I also get her facials when I need to de-stress and let me tell you, her massages are the best! My skin always glows afterwards. Not to mention every product she uses smells delicious so it's like an aromatherapy session too! Her salon is comfortable and parking is easy. I've gone to many threading salons, but not anymore. I highly recommend her! read more

I usually do not leave reviews but in this case I have to. I would give this place a ZERO if I could. I made an appointment with Naz because every other review said that she was the best. I called and made an appointment for eyebrows and eyelash extensions (the single ones). I get there and Naz says that the girl who does the single extensions won't be there until tomorrow.... so then she convinces me to get the glue on strip ones. They look AWFUL. Not to mention that she kept getting glue in my eyes which was burning and had the audacity to pick up the phone and start talking on the phone while she's doing them and my eyes are literally red and watering and burning!! Now I have chunks of white glue that is noticeable all over my lashes and I can't get them off! Also my eyebrows look terrible. She made them so thin!! Who the f**k wants thin eyebrows nowadays. So back to growing them out :| Overall it was a terrible experience and I will NEVER go back. I recommend nobody else goes there either. read more
