The staff was pleasant enough but it smells Terrible in there. Not terrible of nail products but of funk and musty. The smells hits you as soon as you walk in. I only stayed because I was tired and didn't feel like driving to another salon and there was no wait. Unfortunately the smell steeped into my skin and nails and it took a ton of different remedies to get rid of the smell. My gel manicure was ok. Nothing special for $37. They accommodated me and two friends walking in on a Sunday afternoon and their service was great. I got a gel manicure and my technician was polite and very careful at every step, applied the gel base, three layers of the gel and the top coating. The place is a little run down, but they seem to try to keep it as clean as possible. The prices on the handouts don't match the current price they charge for some services, so you need to check their board before assuming the prices. Some people here mentioned the lack of sterilization, and, while it is true I didn't notice them grabbing tools from a bag, they did have sterilizers on their shelves, so I'm assuming they sterilize their tools before each use. read more

I have been coming to color nails for about 4 years now. Susan is the BEST and she always does an incredible job. Everyone that works there is very polite and respectful. They all take their time and go above and beyond to make sure your nails look good when you leave. I usually get powder dip nails and they last 3-4 weeks. I got the best gel nail and pedicure deal in June. $35 for Mon-Wed servoce. I couldn't believe it. The lady who did my nails was courteous and profesional. The polish lasted 3 weeks. Imagone my chagrin when I go back a month later and another lady refises to honor the special and tells me $50. I waited for a Tuesday. Left work early and she refused to honor her advertised price. She currently has a dry erase board that she can change at will. My advice, before the service begins, negotiate your price because the woman she was working on when I asked her was also surprised about the increase. The pkace is clean. How is this place open? The lack of sterilization is astounding. While the lady that did my nails was nice, nice only gets you so far, especially when you are considering health and safety. When I arrived and the mail tech began to work on my nails, I was taken aback that the tools she used on my nails did not come from a sterilized bag, she pulled them out from a draw. By the cakes on nail polish from other users, I don't think these were cleaned...ever. What was also bothersome was the machine she used to dry my nails also looked like it was in need a of cleaning. What also left a bad taste in my mouth was how rushed my service was. She was working on my nails, answering the phone, and working on other people as well. She did a top coat on one hand but not the other. If I dont get a staphylococcus infection from this service, I will be impressed. read more

Got a manicure and pedicure for $30. They cut my cuticles too close and a few bled. They also did not cut sides of nails for ingrown nails. This was my first time at Color Nails and it was DEFINITELY MY LAST! If you want a horrible overpriced manicure make sure you go here. The staff was friendly however they were extremely unorganized. The manicure I got was as they refer to it a powder gel (also referred to as powder dip and ANC). The man who did my nails was clueless on the removal of my previous manicure (same kind) using a nail tip to squeeze off the other polish like I would do myself at home. When it came time for the dip he had no idea how to apply the new color and which polishes to use which I even knew from the years of getting this type Of manicure. The nails that you see pictured clearly are uneven and the polish job as well as the shaping is sloppy. When the man finally finished I was disappointed and when he told me the cost I was astonished! $50 for a manicure that I've never paid more than $35 for. Definitely not worth it!!! i've been to this place a bunch of times, and while on the sliiiightly pricier side, they do manicures, pedicures, and waxing just fine however today i went for a color gel (opi axxium) manicure and had a pretty crappy experience. the guy clearly had no clue what the heck he was doing. my nails are kinda jagged, the paint job is shotty/faded looking on a few nails and he had the nerve to take a cigarette break in the middle of this botched job. also, he charged me to take off the previous color gel manicure, which no other salon has done. bottom line: don't go here for a color gel manicure, they haven't figured it out just yet. read more

This has been my spot for manicures, pedicures and eyebrow waxing for several years. I used to go to another salon but it became too pricey. At Color the cost is reasonable (only $10 for a regular manicure) and they do a pretty good job. On the rare occassion that I have not been fully satisfied they are understanding and willing to correct at no cost. I love that they are open seven days a week and accept walk-ins or take appointments. They have even stayed open late to finish the services I request or have had more than one person attend to me (manicure and pedicure) if I'm crunched on time. read more

I went there maybe 5 times for a pedicure before my nails started to turn dark. I ended up at a podiatrist who told me I had toenail fungus which most likely was caused by instruments not being sterilized. I have never gone back to them or any other place like that as I again cut my own nails. Lesson to be learned. read more
