    Thank you DAVID!!!

Shout out to DAVID...thank you for your very kind service with a SMILE!! The teriyaki chicken was BOMB-a-licious (it's a word now) Loved it! My chicken came with yummy vegetables on the side and a generous portion of yummy fried rice! We shall return!

Chicken Teriyaki Plate Run...don't walk...okay, not if there is Ice on the ground, or scissors in your hand. But definitely hurry, like do that weird speed walk thing, if you have to. Who cares how goofy you look...you're about to eat something good. The sauce, chicken, rice, vegetables...and quantity you get. Best deal in town! They make a smaller bowl but don't bother...you'll want more! Then it'll be too late. You'll have bowl regret. The cooks are loud/proud, super nice, and love throwing on extra sauce on request. I've never left hungry or feeling like they "missed." #SupportOakview #SarkuOrWeRiot

Growing up this was the best. teriyaki place, everything about it was delicious. watching their fall from grace has been a tragedy as the owners keep selling it off. I haven't had this in years and it was very disappointing. Everything about it is different. The chicken is bland and the vegetables aren't charred or cooked on the grilled but steamed which leaves a jarring texture compared to the chicken. The rice is mediocre and everything is very dry even with the extra sauce. They have shrunk the portion size and raised the prices. It's so saddening to see such a great place go to waste.

    Wheres the chicken?

This place has completely gone downhill. Not only did they raise prices AND shrink the container size...now they are giving you half the chicken. What made them to goto -PORTION SIZE - is now the reason NOT to go. I used to go twice a week....not anymore. Not worth it now

This is definitely number one choice when I am at Oak View. When I walked in the door, the smell attracts me to go here. I was never let down here because the place is outstanding. Great flavor, delicious food, generous portion, and very quick service. Chicken teriyaki is a must to try, fried rice, steamed veggies, and grilled chicken with this sweet spied teriyaki sauce. The price is fair, probably the same price with other fast food places, not sure whether it is healthier or not. But if you find yourself at Oak View, go try this place.

Solid food for a great price all the time. However on this visit the Asian looking man who was handling the cash register was touching money and food boxes with gloved hands. Is that hygenic? Other than that this place has great food for a great price.

(although I think the fish is cured to retain freshness) We ordered a couple rolls, but mostly stuck to the nigiri. The Hama toast, prairie tuna, and yaki gindara were all ono. The yaki gindara tasted like butterfish sushi, but with sablefish rather than black cod. Also, the rice used for the sushi tasted similar to the rice used in sushi in Hawaii. We also tried some of the yakitori - grilled meat on sticks. I strongly recommend the tako yakitori. I'm not really into tako poke (Hawaii dish), but this tako with that miso panca sauce is super ono. Full of flavor with a touch of spicy. I could eat that all the time. The five-spice old fashioned they have is also delicious. Service was excellent for us. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has a/c and gives an izakaya vibe familiar in Hawaii. Also, I saw people come in with t-shirt and shorts for dinner. So I guess there isn't really a dress code here. As others have mentioned, Koji is a sister restaurant to Yoshitomo, and the menus of both restaurants do overlap to a degree. However, Koji has MUCH better parking than Yoshitomo. Trying to find parking for Yoshitomo or Ota can be a pain since it's all street parking. Koji is in a strip mall with its own parking lot (free parking too). I will definitely return here whenever I'm in Omaha.

This time around, we had the Koji Q and the Gyoza Empire in addition to some sushi rolls and those may be some of my new favorites here. My partner and I walked in looking forward to everything, once we had been sat down by the hostess we were ignored by our waitress Cheyenne. She didn't greet us for almost 10 minutes and our hostess even got us our waters and apologized for the time she had been taking so long. Once she got our order moments afterwards another 10-15 minutes go by until we got our delicious food (served yet again by our hostess and not the waitress.) but during that time our waitress was happily serving the other guests and got their drinks before us. While we were eating our food, I noticed she didn't bother to stop by our table to see how we were doing or ask about our food. She went to the other tables she had and asked them, got them refills and other things they have mentioned. I tried to make eye contact but she would ignore my eyes when we locked, even eyeballed our table and still didn't talk to us. Towards the end I noticed the hostess and our waitress talking and looking at us (assuming the hostess said something to her about us being finished with our food.) She then came to our table saying "I see you guys are full, here are your double deep fried Oreos" and passes off the check. When we gave her the card to pay for she then realized she had forgotten our drinks. which I do appreciate she comped our appetizer, gave us a discount and then made my drink (not her but yet again the hostess.) Did not appreciate the baby talk when she was talking though saying "I am so sowy" and etc. I don't know if this was intentional or not but this was an upsetting experience.

We enjoyed the upbeat music and the Japanese decor; some of items can be purchased. We started out with the Takoyaki (Octopus) appetizer and was pleasantly surprised, it had the right amount of outside crispiness and softness inside; 5 out of 5 stars. I then had the garlic tonkatsu with 2 slices of pork chashu, marinated egg, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, scallions, garlic flakes, and nori (seaweed) paper. The base and noodles was good but the meat was hard and not melts in your mouth soft. The noodles wasn't freshly made and I chewed on a solid ramen clump. My star rating is based on the inland location or it'd be 3 stars in other states. Tip: They offer Military discount.

Saimon our chef was phenomenal--his table‑side preparation was skilled and perfectly paced, and his banter and humor throughout the meal made the entire experience fun and memorable. His service was exceptional from start to finish: attentive, personable, and always one step ahead of what we needed. The food was fantastic, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. With great food, great service, and Saimon's personality at the grill, this visit truly stood out. Everyone in our group agreed it was our best Kobe experience yet.

A few things to know before you go: reservations are required and the process is a little more involved than usual since you fill out a form and wait to hear back, so plan ahead. Also, since they seat a full table at a time, your actual seating may be a bit later than your reservation time. Worth checking their website, Facebook, or Instagram before you go too as they occasionally post coupons. Just make sure to mention it to your server before they ring you up. For food, the salmon and shrimp were the highlights for us. Shrimp comes as a starter for the table, but I ordered extra as part of my combo and it was worth it. The steak was fine, but not the standout in steakhouse country. Fried rice is an extra $4, which is reasonable given how good it is. Kids meals at $12 are a solid deal since they come with soup, salad, and rice. The spicy mustard dipping sauce and their spiciest sauce were both great. Our cook was friendly and engaging without overdoing it, which is the right call for teppanyaki. Prices were fair overall and the location is a bonus since Fat Brain Toys is right next door if you want to browse before or after with kids.
