Haven't been here for a few years and still just as impressed! Show up just before your reservation time for the best experience. Once we were close to our time we were seated. Soup was immediately served and our drink orders were taken and came quickly. Server was great, gave us to go sauces and to go containers at the end. Chef was funny and put on a great show. I got the filet and it was cooked perfectly medium rare like I asked. Rice was delicious, I could have done without the sprouts though. Overall it's a fun night every time! Hard to talk to your group but it's an experience and fun for a special occasion.
Went to Kobe on a Friday night right at 5:00 for our reservation. We hadn't been here in many years, and my 10-year-old wanted to try it. We had a party of six, including two kids. Since our full party was already there, we were seated right away. Our waitress, Kim, explained everything thoroughly and was attentive throughout the entire night. Our chef, Alex, was phenomenal. He made our children feel included and entertained the whole time. He was very friendly and kept the excitement going throughout dinner. I had the filet mignon, and it was delicious. Even my 10-year-old, who normally doesn't eat steak, tried it and kept asking for more! The fried rice was the best I've ever had. For appetizers, we ordered the edamame and crab rangoons, and both were excellent. From the food to the overall experience, we had such a lovely and fun evening. Definitely pricey but for the experience it is worth it.
Wow! What a beautiful birthday experience here! Our cook was amazing. Our table was awesome by the window and the food was spectacular! I had steak and shrimp and it did not disappoint. You get so much food and it's worth it. The expresso martini was delicious! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!!
First time at Kobe to celebrate some birthdays and I see why people love it here! The food was fantastic, I can't fathom how they make fried rice taste so good (that's before we even got the main courses). I love that we all got a little salad and soup with our meals, and the steak and shrimp were delicious of course. We even had enough to make a great lunch the next day. Of course, you don't just go to Kobe for the food (even though it is a full five stars on its own), you also get a wonderful dining experience at the hibachi grill. Our chef was very personable and experienced. He cracked jokes throughout the night, kept everyone's orders well, and got pretty much everyone to catch a shrimp in their mouth!

I got the land and sea with shrimp and steak and the food was delicious. I loved that they started you out with soup and salad before bringing out the fried rice, veggies, and your main dish. They also had some great dipping sauces. The grill tricks were super fun to watch and the restaurant was very clean and well set up for this! Great place for a celebration or just a fun dinner out
I tried Kobe for the first time last night with a large group and it was so good!! Our server was great, I was sitting at the kids table and everybody kept dropping forks and he always got us new ones pretty quickly lol! He recommended the filet mignon so me and my sister both ordered that with fried rice. I definitely would've taken a picture but it was so good I ate it really fast. The portions were really good too and almost everyone in my group took a box home for leftovers! Overall a great experience :)

I had convinced her to try somewhere now since we're doing some shopping in Village point and this is so convenient. The ambience and aesthetic when you walk in gives you more of an upscale feel. Our chef was amazingly entertaining table side. We are sat with another family with kids around the same age as my daughter so many Shirley temples were ordered that they came out with a pitcher. food was good, but could've used a tab with more seasoning. Fried rice is always the best part and they were plenty of leftovers.
This was our family's first time at Kobe. We had went to Osaka in the past. Not that Osaka is bad by any means because we have never had a bad experience there. Kobe, felt like a little step above. The real reason why was the hard take on making sure that our oldest son could eat with an egg allergy. The staff made it very clear that allergens would be VERY accommodated by the restaurant. I use all caps for VERY because they stressed it multiple times. The staff is friendly, the ambience is a little loud but that is what you would expect from a Hibachi restaurant. The food, especially the fried rice, I recommend the $4 upgrade, it's delicious! We, a party of 5, sat with a party of 3 and the chef made sure that it was fun among both families by catching food in our mouths with thunderous applause upon success. Good times for all!

You could just eat here, but for the prices it's more like a special night out. Enjoy the show and plan a party of people. You can have 10 at a station or reserve two connected stations. Whatever you do, don't be a bozo; make a reservation! And if you get in their email list they'll send you coupons every now and again. The food is good but what you're paying for is the show. This is a large, flat hibachi cook top. The cook will make jokes, entertain you with skills, and flip shrimp into your mouth. You will have a separate server to bring you drinks, your traditional Japanese starter soup and salad, and coordinate the "Banzai" birthday (for an extra $6 included the gong ringing, photo, and cheesecake dessert (yes this use to be free, but not any more)). Note: This isn't a place you sit and talk with your loved ones. This is a place for showmanship. Kobe is loud as all the chefs are doing their own thing and families who are in their "down time" - between the show and paying the bill - are yelling across the hibachi to be heard, plus the special occasion gong (which happens at least once at each time). Other than that, the food is good and we go annually for my younger son's birthday. "Banzai!"

I have a love-hate relationship with Kobe. I've had a few good experiences and one really terrible one. The proteins and veggies at Kobe were delicious and filling, and the meals are not too expensive! It is a little more than other restaurants of the same caliber, but this includes a little interaction and fun with the chef. The cook stands right at your table, lights up the grill in front of him with a large flame, and goes to work on your appetizers! They have little tricks that they do with their knives/spatulas/sauces and even get the diners involved in the little show (throwing pieces of chicken and making you catch it in your mouth, etc). Another plus is that you get to try some of what everyone orders (so everyone should get something different, if you want to share a few bites to try different items). Now, on to the reason for the three star review. Our last visit to Kobe was on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The staff were all just standing around chatting in small groups when we walked in and asked for a table. One of them piped up that there were none available. I kid you not, there was not one table with diners in the entire place. They were not closed, they were not all booked up, no reason given - they just would not serve us. It was so bizarre. Because of this, we kind of promised ourselves we would not eat there again. That level of (lack of) service is the reason for my rating, unfortunately, no matter how good the food is.

This place is our go to for birthdays. Everyone just has the best time and the food is always consistent. We've tried the sirloin, filet, mahi mahi, shrimp, and chicken. All delicious and cooked perfectly. The apps are well done. My fav is the egg rolls. They are a little pricy here, but you also get a great show. Seeing them make everything in front of you, the way they keep you entertained, and the thoughtfulness of making sure you are having the best experience just makes this place special. They do have an early bird special, which can help shave a few dollars off your order. But regardless, this place is a winner! read more

I've been here a few times and love the experience! They always do a great job and make you feel like they enjoy what they are doing. The food was great--rice was crispy which was impressive and the balance of veggies to rice/meat was good. Plenty of meat too! Next time I will only order one as the steak was my favorite. Also love that they give everyone several shrimp for free! The last time I went the chef was a great shot and got the shrimp in our mouth without us moving at all, this time was more difficult but still fun! And he made sure everyone at our table caught several to eat. The atmosphere is a bit more casual than I expected with plenty of families and children--not a problem at all but less of a fancy spot than I thought. I would recommend ordering the steak or shrimp based on everything I've tried, and definitely add fried rice! read more
Kobe ALWAYS hits the spot. It's not a cheap meal, but it is truly a dinner and a show (and, most likely, leftovers!) The soup and salad starters always hit the spot, and the main meals are cooked to perfection. Our server and chef were funny and attentive and made for a great experience. We came to the bar area for a drink an appetizers around 8PM. Every time I come here the restaurant is busy. The bar tender was mixing drinks left & right but he greeted us right away & gave us menus to look over. We started with a Mai Tai drink-that has all the right rums & fruit juices topped with a pretty umbrella & fruit slices! That makes me feel like I'm on vacation or celebrating something special. We decided on Japanese Gyoza & Pork Egg Roll appetizers. I didn't care for the Gyoza that seemed deep fried too long. The pork egg rolls weren't much better considering other Asian restaurants nearby are much better. I'll stick with Kobe's hibachi grilled shrimp & salmon that are 5* read more

I had a great time at Kobe! The chef was a funny guy and man he knew how to cook. He did our vegetables and meats I would say in a reasonable timeframe and it was cooked well. I enjoy my cocktail and their gyoza was bomb! My hubs got their fried rice it was a little salty. When folks around had their birthday it was really noisy with the banging. Besides that really enjoyed my time. read more

Come to Kobe if you're looking for an entertaining night. Our chef was part stand up comedy / part party tricks. He kept us laughing all night and it still turned out to be a fun night despite the food. Would not come here if you're looking for a good or great meal. The food really leaves something to be desired. The soup tasted like it was from a dehydrated packet, the salad was not fresh and the veggie/ proteins were a fairly low grade in terms of food quality from their distributor. Minimal seasoning / taste. Avoid the calamari. Be prepared to wait 20 min after your reservation time to be seated since they need to wait until they can seat a whole table before seating anyone. read more

Kobe is like Benihana where you go and pay for the show while the chef cooks your food. Searing hot flames in your face? Check. Onions on fire? Check. Good fun jokes throughout the dinner? Check. Catching shrimp toss in your mouth? Check. I ordered the filet mignon with lobster tail. My hubby just got the filet mignon. Along with your main entrees, they also serve you soup, salad and fried rice. You will leave feeling stuffed and possibly with leftovers to go. I do not recommend ordering appetizers since you will have plenty of food. We got sat with a family of 6 who was celebrating a birthday. Everyone goes there to celebrate birthday and they will come out with a birthday gong and sing happy birthday to you! It got repetitive after the 3rd birthday gong came out... Our chef, Brandon, was awesome. Very entertaining and he works hard. He did the table before us and the table who came in after us. I have noticed they have TONS of servers and even 2 greeters in the front but not enough chefs. The chefs here are overworked. I see tables just sitting there waiting for chefs. Overall, good food but I have had a similar experience at Benihana so it was nothing special. read more

I've been craving something like this for a while now and Kobe hit the mark for me and the family. I was looking for somewhere a little different but not your typical steak house. I remembered visiting a hibachi steakhouse before and remembered what a blast not only I had but how entertained my kids were as well. When you enter the restaurant check in a the front with the host I highly recommend reservations. You may have to wait a little while depending on your party size as the restaurant is trying to fill all available space at the hibachi grill ( which seats 8). But that's ok cause right next to where you check in stop by the bar a grab one of your favorite cocktails or mock tails and enjoy the evening while you wait. Your always welcome to take your drink with you to the table once it's ready. Once your seated any addition drink orders are taken as well as appetizers. While there are so many tempting apps to choose from trust me your not going to go hungry once your main course come out. The menu has a number of selections from chicken, seafoods and different cuts of steaks. Not sure what to pick from try a combo. This is all accompanied with a salad, rice, (fried for a slight up charge), veggies and shrimp appetizer. Speaking of the shrimp appetizer bring you A game your personal chef may have you try to catch a cooked shrimp in the air with your mouth which only adds to the fun and experience. Your food is cooked to your selection right in front of you and the jokes, laughs and experience my family had to celebrate were something I won't forget. read more
This was my first hibachi experience and I loved it! Our server and our chef were great, engaging and fun. I got mostly sides because unfortunately I wasn't as hungry as I should have been, but they all tasted wonderful! I highly recommend going to Kobe, it's a lot of fun with friends and I'm excited to go back! read more

We really enjoy Kobe for those special occasions. Really fun experience with very good food. Adjustments have been made for COVID. All customers will need to wear a mask until it is time to eat. Kobe has also put up plexiglass partitions at the table to separate groups from one another and all staff are wearing masks. We actually felt fairly comfortable with their precautions and we dined early before large numbers of people showed up. Kobe is not utilizing regular menus any longer. There are stickers at each table with a QR code you can scan with your phone and it will pull up the menu on your mobile device. Overall very good experience and a fun night out. read more

We had a great time at Kobe last night. I don't know the name of our chef but he was the best we've ever had. He was so much fun and our party of 8 had a blast. We were celebrating 3 birthdays. I had the ahi tuna and it's one of the best pieces of ahi I've ever had. The chef took a selfie of himself on my phone (such a funny surprise when I got home) and I'm going to include it. I hope the restaurant sees this and gives him mad props. read more

We recently went to Kobe steakhouse with our kids to celebrate my 50th birthday. They had never been, so the idea of "dinner and a show" was interesting to them. While we had to wait about 25 minutes past our reservation, once we were seated, we quickly started getting food. The atmosphere is definitely one of fun so it is a little noisy but that's ok. It also isn't a place to go to really talk to people other than the ones right beside you. That being said, our chef was great and the food, though pricey, was really good. My son said he would go back for his birthday. If you can, I recommend paying for the filet and scallops; they were both excellent. I also recommend asking for the spicy dipping sauce, it was so good. All in all, fun place with good food! read more
This was my first time at Kobe! I was pleasantly surprised at how open the interior was! Very busy but my party had a reservation. We were sat as soon as everyone showed up. Fast and friendly service all around. Our chef was funny, witty, and very fast! I unfortunately didn't get to take any photos of my entrees because I didn't want to take away from the whole Hibachi Grill experience. I had the Ahi Tuna which was cooked rare and was so delicious! Paired with the standard rice, grilled veggies, and I had also ordered the spicy edamame as an appetizer! All around an amazing experience for the price! read more
