We had a fun family dinner here. The chefs were funny and entertaining. The tweens loved it. The drink offerings are plentiful. We each opted for the filet and a seafood. I went with the octopus and was not disappointed in the slightest. The scallops were also a hit. There's lots of choices of sauces - both to be cooked in and dipped in. You start with a broth and everyone also gets regular or fried rice. The portions are large. And, of course, there's vegetables too. Kobe has always been a go to for birthdays and celebrations for us because of the fun atmosphere. It's dinner and a show. It's beyond that the food is delicious. I learned on my recent visit that they use Omaha Steaks for the steaks on their menu. I always get the combo with chicken, shrimp and steak with fried rice. It's so much food, I always have leftovers. Another part of Kobe that I enjoy is the great bar area. The last couple of times I've been it has not been crowded which surprises me. Returned after a lengthy hiatus from Kobe. Reservations were made early, and regardless, the eaiting area was crowded. I guess you can't educate parents who allow their unsupervised kids to run around and create a major disturbance in the waiting area. After this display, we were finally seated, and the experience became much better. Jack was our server and provided excellent care of the whole table. Our hibachi chef was terrific. It's always fun to come over here for the food performance. I went with my family in the last 3 years and last week I took my LA friend there. I was super surprised that the restaurant still packed while the menu is not changed much. The food and chef were great! Getting the shogun we wanted to try a mix of their meat options, each being delicious. Our complaints lied more with the rushed feeling we had. As soon as our chef had served us the final bits of our meal checks were being dropped and the bus boys seemed to be lurking to clean the tables. Understandably going at dinner time we know they are just wanting to be efficient with their seating however we barely were able to touch our complete meals. Came in for lunch today during their Friday holiday hours. We ordered the steak and chicken, and the filet and shrimp hibachi. The salad was fresh and very tasty. The main course with the fried rice and mushrooms were delicious. The restaurant was clean and much larger inside than I thought. The hibachi chef was engaging and enthusiastic. A couple at our table ordered gluten free and he was very meticulous to make sure their meals were cooked first and did not add any sauces with gluten. We will definitely return! read more

Had an ok experience at Kobe. I know it's not just about the food here...people go for the show too. Trouble is, I wasn't impressed with either. The quality of the show depends a lot on the cook you get. Our seemed very scripted, like he had said the same things 20 times already that day. To be fair, he probably had, but still, it was a bit tired. Silly jokes and he seemed a bit bored. The food was very average American style Asian food. Grilled veggies were fine, if not a little bland. I ordered the filet and shrimp. The filet was the star, quite tender and did have good flavor. The shrimp was very disappointing. Super rubbery and bland. The "soup" tasted like beef bouillon that had been dissolved in water. I have never had a worse soup! Overall, I didn't feel like I really got my money's worth. read more

My friends and I went to dinner at Kobe's last night and had a wonderful time. It does get busy fast, so making a reservation in advance is recommended. Once your party is all there they will then seat you. The ambiance was inviting and warm, and our waiter was timely and accommodating even with it being his first night. The chef definitely made it a fun experience while making delicious food. Since I can't eat gluten, they accommodated me by brining out my own soup, salad, and sauce/soy sauce. They then made sure the grill was clean, and made all my food before everyone else's. I had the chicken and scallops, and they were delicious and cooked perfectly! The gluten free fried rice was my favorite. I definitely didn't miss out on the experience nor the food. I also had a Madame Butterfly to drink and it was also delicious! The drink was not alcohol forward and tasted more along the lines of an alcoholic strawberries and cherries smoothie. Really refreshing and went along perfectly with the meal. But if there's only two you, and you want to chance it, you can try going right when they open at 4 and you can probably get in with a little wait time. You can go to the bar and have a drink while you wait. I don't know what else to add since there are already 100-some reviews. It's great for birthdays and large parties. Or if it's just the two of you, you can usually meet some friendly people at your table. You get a lot of food for the money, I mean *a lot*. Gyoza on came in fried, which is fine for street food, but at this establishment we should of had options on how it was prepared. The calamari looked and tasted like fish sticks. This place is always packed, so make sure to make a reservation or get there early. I suggest getting two meat options for about the same price as one on the menu. I typically get steak with seafood options. I always recommend the scallops, steak or teriyaki salmon to anyone because these three menu items are always perfect. The scallops just melt into your mouth and the salmon with the sauce is cooked perfectly to be a crispy top with a tender inside. The rice is my favorite part of the entire meal. It is THE best fried rice that I eat everytime! No matter who the chef is. Looking to get a drink? Try the volcano that you can share for $18 with a friend or two! It is worth it since some martini can be $11! I do think the alcohol is a bit pricey, but still great drinks. Josh is the best chef we have had there so far. He is fun and conversational. Ok, you'll need to prepare to spend a pretty penny to enjoy the experience, but prepare for an upbeat, interactive and fun time with the chef and some pretty drinks-- especially enjoyable if you're paired with Chef Simon or someone equally as funny! Really good Japanese Hibachi style food. We got the Shogun meal for 2 consisting of filet mignon, lobster and shrimp with veggies and fried rice. Dinners also come with a clear soup, salad and shrimp appetizer so you don't really need to get any more appetizers unless you are super hungry or know you want to take leftovers home. The spicy mustard sauce on the side was super addictive. Food was cooked to your taste and temperature. The only reason for giving it 4 stars is that you must make a reservation to get a table. The food is good, but this is the kind of place where you pay a premium for the experience (read: melting pot), except there's no 'do it yourself' action here. You're just supposed to sit back, watch your cook, and try to keep up as they load you up with soup, salad, veggies, rice, and meat (approximately in that order). If you've been more than once, you already know the jokes, the tricks (volcano, spinning egg, tossing shrimp), etc. But it's especially fun with a large group (at least 8 to fill a table) or with an even larger group (so you have two tables filled and can heckle each other). But I always was very excited to go there growing up because as a kid the fire and spectacle is much more amusing. Still, I thought it was fantastic when I was younger. My first time having a bad experience at Kobe's due to the greeter. She was very rude with her inability to properly check a party in, and proceeded to cut (roll) her eyes at guest as if we were an inconvenience to her. It's your job to greet people, if that's an inconvenience to you it might serve you best to seek different employment. Also, her assumption that a party wanted to share a menu instead of asking if the party wanted more than one menu is an incompetent decision-making choice on her part. Lastly, to the front greeter, if you're having a bad day, maybe ask management to allow you to go home for the evening as it's extremely selfish to run the risk of ruining the reputation of a wonderful establishment because of your unprofessionalism and personal matters. My wife and I always love going to dinner at Kobe. It is an hibachi style grill, where you sit in small groups and your meal is cooked/grilled before your eyes. Groups are always 6 or more, so if you have a large group, you would be seated together. But if you show up in a smaller party, you will be paired with strangers. But, this has never been a problem, and you feel like friends before the dinner is complete. You start by ordering your meal, sides, and drinks. The restaurant has several adult beverages that are reasonably priced and delicious. Sides include traditional Chinese/Japanese options. I have only tried the crab rangoons, but they are delicious! All dinners include salad, soup, and rice. You are allowed to choose traditional white or fried rice, and if you are smart, you will choose the fried rice. I chose the white rice once, and will NEVER make that mistake again. Meals include your choice of protein, the rice, grilled vegetables, and shrimp. During the show, you are treated to a show by your personal chef. In my experience, the chefs do an exceptional job catering to children and those who are celebrating an occasion. Near the end, the chef will fling pieces of grilled shrimp and diners try to catch them in their mouths. Always a great show. My wife and I come here often, and the kids have a great time!
