I ordered the char siu bowl which tasted great then I ordered the eggplant and the spicy shrimp. Very great pairing. I would definitely recommend this place. I had a wonderful time at Jinya! The ambience is very tasteful with a friendly feel. It's a great place to have a delicious meal with friends and family without breaking the bank. I started off with fried Brussels sprouts, which were delicious and almost had a tempura batter feel. They were quite popular with my guests so I didn't get too many pieces! For the main, I got the specialty beef birria ramen. I was very impressed with the creativity in this, though I felt some of the iconic Mexican flavor was missing. I stopped into Jinya Ramen near Crossroads and was so impressed! From the street, the restaurant looks smaller than it actually is, but once inside it opens up into a warm, welcoming space with a great atmosphere. I ordered the spicy pork ramen, and it was absolutely fantastic--rich, flavorful broth with just the right amount of heat, tender pork, and noodles cooked perfectly. Easily one of the best ramen bowls I've had in Omaha. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. I've been here a number of times for both dine in and take out and the food NEVER disappoints. It's one thing to say a place is consistent but it means another when their food is good AND consistently good. I've been able to visit this location and confidently know that my order will be delicious and worth every penny. I'm a big fan of the spicy chicken ramen... it's so tasty I get too excited to take a picture of it! I've also had a number of their small plates and I always come back to the crispy rice with tuna. It's so fresh, crispy, and spicy. The wait staff is always amazing in taking care of their customers. They feel more like friends than someone taking care of your table and it leaves me feeling happy to be there. If you get the chance to order in, I highly recommend. There is parking in front of the restaurant with ample seating inside. When it gets crowded, the tables get filled pretty quickly and then they only have bar and counter seats available. Their menu ranges from small plates (gyoza, some sushi) to poke bowls and ramen. The black tonkotsu ramen did not taste exactly like other pork broth ramens that I've tried in other places. I highly recommend their gyoza. They also have free condiments at each table (gyoza sauce, hot sauce, and seasoning sauce). Prices are reasonable. We have had this for take out before and it was great, but having been our first time in the restaurant I thought everything tasted downright amazing! We were seated immediately and served our drinks and appetizer within a few short minutes. We've only ever gotten takeout from Jinya, this was our first time ever eating in. The vibe inside is really cute, a nice little place for a date! We started off with the pork gyoza. These were really yummy! Nothing special, they were like a lot of other gyoza i've had, but don't get me wrong they were good! On all of the tables they already had hot sauce, seasoning sauce (not sure what that was) and gyoza sauce, so we didn't have to ask for any sauces. Then for our meal, I got the Jinya Tonkotsu Black ramen- this is my absolute favorite ramen for them, I could rave about it for days. I'm like addicted to the broth in this one. There's a bar, too, but we decided not to imbibe. I was after vegan non-salty food, and surprisingly, they had that. Yuzu shio delight ramen sounded just right for Bookguy with chicken and pork clear broth containing pork chashu, green onion, spinach, seasoned egg, nori seaweed with yuzu flavor and thin noodles. He requested no nori and gave me his spinach, thinking it was nori. He thought the flavor wasn't as strong as he likes it. Maybe it was the missing spinach and nori. He said he would try something with thick noodles next time. I loved the Impossible rice bowl made with Impossible brand plant-based protein, chickpeas, kale, pickled red cabbage, crispy garlic and roasted pine nuts over steamed rice with vegan curry ranch dressing. I had the dressing on the side. There were two sizes of this dish and the smaller size was just right. All the vegetables mixed with the rice and dressing made a delicious combination. I would say 3.5 stars for Jinya overall, a lot of the other ramen places in Omaha are the same price point, and nearly everything is expensive anymore, but there are certainly other places like Rizin with very good ramen that is significantly cheaper. The restaurant was nice, the service was good, I sat at the bar and ordered the chicken dumpling ramen. I did really enjoy the broth, it was very nice, as were the noodles and dumplings. They definitely didn't scimp on the ingredients, you do get plenty of food with an order of ramen, I did like that. Ultimately it's not my favorite paying $21 for a bowl of fancy soup with tax and tip, but the food itself was tasty. read more

I went to a place once in benson, it was okay, it was honestly my fault because I ordered udon noodles and quickly found out that I hate udon noodles lol then tried the ramen place in the west roads mall, excellent ramen, terrible atmosphere. Jinya is now my go-to ramen spot. They have a lot of options and really delicious pork gyoza. Also really delicious margaritas. I ordered the Tonkotsu Spicy ramen. I did mild because I wasn't sure, I think I'll do medium next time. I subbed the kikurage for regular mushrooms and added a seasoned egg. It was really really good. And our waiter was so friendly. I stopped into Jinya Ramen early today and was the only customer in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the service and food were both major disappointments. The entrance floor was visibly dirty right when I walked in. My waitress, Theresa, seemed completely disengaged and irritated from the start. She barely checked on me and gave off the vibe that she just didn't want to be there. When she brought my food, she leaned directly over my plate--her face about 10 inches away--while talking right at the food. That was a huge turn-off and felt unsanitary. The ramen itself was the biggest letdown. This was not the Jinya Ramen I've had in the past. The broth was extremely watered down and lacked any richness or flavor. The egg tasted old and off. I could barely take one bite before giving up. Whoever was cooking back there needs serious improvement. Jinya has been good to me before, but this visit was unacceptable. Please fix the service attitude, cleanliness, and especially the food quality before you lose more customers. read more

This unassuming sit down restaurant doesn't fit the quick food vibe of the area and was a welcome surprise. It is a franchise and a welcome change to other nearby offerings. I was there for takeout and sat at the bar while waiting for my food. This was the middle of the afternoon and I was one of 3 parties. The staff was great in helping me make a choice for ramen. We had the privilege to visit during their anniversary promotion where we've each ordered a bowl of tonkotsu black ramen for only $10, and tuna crispy rice with spicy tuna for $3 and ebi-katsu bun (non promotional item). The service is very fast and friendly and food is served fast. I've had the ramen few years ago but I feel the broth tasted a bit diluted compared to what it was, and the pork is not charred. Not sure if it's just that day but it's still tasted good. They now top the ramen with fried onions and garlic which enhances the flavor of the ramen. The bun was good, so was the crispy rice. This place is pretty great. Super cute and a bit fancy but very accessible. Not too frou-frou. The ramen was solid. We tried Tonkatsu Black, Chicken Wonton (the dumplings were killer), and classic chicken. The broth could have been a little better, but the chicken, pork, eggs, and toppings were really good. The real standout was the curry, though. I ordered it for myself since I've always wanted to try Japanese curry, but my kids ate most of it. My 6yo daughter literally licked the bowl clean. Our daughter loves JINYA and chose here for her birthday dinner!!! We always get the spicy chicken ramen. The ambience is nice and quiet. Probably the best choice for ramen in the Omaha area. This place is a nationwide chain so it's a fairly reliable option anywhere. There's convenient parking, so no stress about that. Every time I've gone I've been seated pretty quickly. The service has always been pretty fast. I really like the cocktail I had, although I only had it once. The poke tacos were tasty but I feel like the serving was small for the price so I hadn't had it more than once also. Jinya isn't usually my choice of ramen back in my hometown area, so I'm not sure about any regional difference in quality, I wanna say it may have been slightly better back home. I tend add more of the sauces they have nearby and I feel like asking for a side of fresh garlic also boosts the flavor. Decent option overall. read more

Came across this ramen restaurant while helping Favorite Daughter recover from a medical issue. She was on a liquid diet for a while, and making the trek to Favorite Youngest Granddaughter's Mall Ramen place (formally Yoshi-Ya) every day was a bit much. But Jinya is just down the street, and had quick in-and-out parking, and a convenient counter (and bar) for waiting for my pickup order. Over the course of a few weeks, I picked up food many, many times. It was all great - and I don't mean just the flavorful clear chicken broth. I especially liked the pork tonkatsu, but never had a bad bowl, regardless of whether I was taking out or dining in. What's Favorite Youngest Granddaugher's verdict? This was my first time having ramen, and I loved it! Did a lot of research for a good ramen place, and this was definitely worth the drive. I got the Jinya chicken ramen, with half noodles, extra bean sprouts, broccoli and brussels sprouts; It was so smooth and perfect. The broth was soft and light and perfectly tasty. Chicken was perfectly cooked and I didn't even realize how quickly I finished it. My fiance got the spicy chicken ramen and had it on broccoli. He loved that as well! The broth was a really good and spicy and it had quite a different flavor from the simple chicken ramen but I would have definitely gone for either of them. They were both so good. Another one of our favorites was the seaweed salad! That seaweed part on top went so perfectly with the mixed greens. It was amazing! We also ordered another side house salad and had the extra seaweed with these greens too. I would recommend having the seaweed with these greens instead of the actual dressing that it comes with. For the appetizer we got the caramelized cauliflower. I wasn't too big a fan of this one. Cauliflower was cooked but it was very very oily! I pressed out the oil with paper towels but there was still so much more. There was also no mint on the plate. I wouldn't order this again. We ended the meal with two Jinya buns! The book and they was perfectly soft and amazing! A lot of fat in the piece that I got, so I took the fat out and had the meat and the bun. I was hoping there would be more mixed greens in there from what the description had and I only got one leaf of spinach. Even that plain sauce from the meat along with the bun tasted good. I've really tried. When we first moved here a couple years ago, we were frequent flyers in this restaurant. Sometimes coming in 2-3X a week. Over the last year, the service has declined. The last 5-6 times I've ordered to go, my order has been wrong. I went in there today for an order and it was wrong, again... I wasn't treated respectfully when I asked if I could look over my order while the young lady rang up the check. She refused to hand me the bag of food until she finished ringing me up and handed my card back. My kids love the food, but I refuse to spend any of my hard earned money there again. Service is terrible and they give you a hard time. They've messed up time and time again. It's not worth the stress and money! Not too many good Ramen spots in Omaha. Popped into this place for an evening dinner one night. Got seated right away and served, which was always a good sign. Took our drink orders, which was a pretty decent selection of drinks, one of which was the Nebraska based Glacial Till Cider. I also just love the whole modern type vibe of this location too! For ramen my husband got the JINYA Chicken Ramen, and I ordered the JINYA Tonkotsu Ramen. Having maybe eaten 3 bowls between both of us prior to visiting JINYA, we would be labeled as amateur ramen consumers but this ramen was very delicious. Mine was full of flavor and some spice, and was greatly balanced. My husbands was simple yet also very tasty, it was a good beginner bowl for sure. Overall our experience was great at JINYA Ramen.
