How do you explain this amount of wasabi and pickled ginger to a customer. Unacceptable. We do pay our money for the food.

This place has really lost it's touch. When you buy sushi you expect the condiments to go with it. But Sarku Japan decided on their own to barely give you any, also they decided to not give you the dip for the dumplings in Bento box. Paying more for less. Very annoying.

It was good, could have used more veggies in the fried ride. Add a soda and a roll to the bento box lunch special and you are at $10-11

歓迎 Which means "welcome" to Sarku to the Throgs Neck Shopping Center and our Nabe! It is nice to have more fast dining choices coming to us!! The chain is known for their fresh, made to order selection of Japanese cuisine such as all kinds of Teriyaki, bento boxes, all kinds of sushi and sides of dumplings, spring rolls, seaweed salad, edamame, miso soup, and a kids menu! I selected their Grand Opening special of Chicken Teriyaki with rice and mixed veggies all for $4.99, which was a generous amount in a nice take out box with sauce on top. Everything was fresh, quick and delicious! The Dining room was spacious and nicely decorated and the staff was pleasant and eager to serve me! Welcome Sakura and Arigatō for giving our nabe another good choice!

This is a great spot to stop in for a quick bite after shopping. It's fast Japanese food, but it's still great and fresh for its price. They have good $8 bento boxes with beef teriyaki, salad, gyoza and 4 California rolls but no miso soup is included. Not bad for the price but at a nearby joint you can get real good beef teriyaki, miso, salad, gyoza and six California rolls for only $9. The menu is a little limited, but everything is fresh and tastes good. It's also very clean. Will definitely be returning.

Nice and convenient location from Target and other stores, plenty of parking. Decent customer service. I do recommend the bento boxes. Reasonable prices. However, the shrimp teriyaki needs more seasoning. The chicken teriyaki tastes good tho.

1st Time here, service was super fast and food was good. Also had the California rolls, which was good $5 for 10 pcs not bad. The bento box was $6 so all together it was worth it ! The serving portions are definitely for 2 people, saved the rest of my bento for later.

This place is 素晴らしいです (amazing!)…read more I have dined-in a few times after work, but mostly get takeout delivery. Let me say, even in delivery, the presentation of food/sushi is impeccable. There are so many different choices to try at Akiyama, I find myself looking at the menu for a good 10 mins. That is a good thing! I always am able to try something different and frankly, I am never ever disappointed. The lunch specials are the go to choice. You get soup, salad and your choice of either 12 rolls or 18. Goodness! I usually stick to the 12 and am able to pick at my lunch for the full day at work. (I am a picker.) For your lunch, you get all that food for under 10 bucks. Uh, YEAH! My favs include: - California Roll (classic) - Eel Avocado (I love eel and avo) - Spicy Chicken (this literally is the first Japanese restaurant I have been to to offer a sushi roll with chicken - also delicious) - Miso soup (hot upon arrival) - House salad (love the giner dressing) Co-workers are fans for the sashimi and the Japanese fried rise. Keeps them coming back for more! We order once a week at least from Akiyama. The delivery man is super friendly and we always have a great meal! This is a College Point restaurant must try!

The fish they used was good quality and the staff were quick and kind. Their salmon dragon ball was really good, as well as their moonstruck and volcano were amongst my favorites. They also had this jasmine tea pudding for dessert which was really refreshing at the end. I was surprised by how quick the food came out since they were very busy on a Wednesday evening. It's a really nice spot to go to with friends or family, as it can be quite noisy at times due to amount of people, but overall great experience here.

They send you a text message reminder and you also have a15 minute grace period. Place is clean, just that the floor is a bit slippery. Since the place was packed there wasn't anywhere to put our bags so it did feel a bit crammed. Wished they got hooks at the bottom of the table. Food was goooooood. Ofc got a good variety of food from hot food to sushi and sweets. Hot food: -fried shu mai was nice and hot with a very thin wrapper so got that nice brittle crunch -sirloin was juicy -fried oyster was also really decent -eggplant tempura crunchy outside and nice and soft in the inside. Perfect texture since sometimes the eggplant is not soft enough imo Sushi: Their sashimi slices seem to got thinner but that's fine cuz we can order more. Yellowtail, salmon, and white tuna was supppper delish. White tuna will be my go to here now. The sushi rolls and nigiri were good too. Love the rice to fish ratio here since other ayce spams rice. Dessert: Jasmine milk pudding- this was more like Jasmine milk tea with pudding topping, but the tea was actually really floral. We all liked it. Every server was super nice and food came out not too late considering how packed they were. Again, really appreciate them being able to accommodate our change in reservation even though they were packed.

But this place completely knocked it out of the park. It far exceeded everything we anticipated. We were seated in a private booth, which made the experience feel even more authentic and intimate. Every dish that came out was absolutely delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. They even provided a bell to press for service, and each time, the server appeared almost instantly with a warm smile. It's clear the owner and management truly know how to create and run a successful business--from the attention to detail to the seamless service and overall experience. For a moment, it truly felt like we had been transported back to Japan. An unforgettable dining experience.

For our food we ordered the hako sushi, tornado omelette fried rice, trio tuna sushi roll, yakitori platter (ordered chicken gizzard and gyu harami on the side) and the A5 Wagyu cooked on the stone grill. I recommend getting the yakitori platter as it's a nice sampler but my husband especially enjoyed the chicken gizzard. My dad never had wagyu before so he especially loved the wagyu but I do think it's expensive for the amount they give you, I can see why it's pricier but just know before you order it's like $45 for 2.5 oz or in our case about 5 thin slices of wagyu. My brother said the tornado omelette was tasty and filling and he enjoyed it. The trio tuna sushi roll was very fresh. As for the service, I think everyone was pleasant but the vibes were a little off, it seems like they were just very exhausted. This doesn't affect the quality of the food or the experience but it was just something I noticed. They were still very attentive and provided great service. The reason for the one star off is because I do wish the Hako sushi had a bit more flavor, I saw so many different ingredients and fish but none of the flavors were impactful, it was rather one dimensional which was disappointing because it was presented so beautifully. Overall, I recommend giving Izakaya nana a try and I would definitely go again to try other things.

We came on a Saturday at opening time and they were open but some things were not ready yet. The service was fast and efficient, just like how we like it, and the restaurant is nice and spacious, lots of table and can accomondate lots of people. This restaurant is very close to the style of restaurants in China, lots of free stuff that comes with the hot pot buffet package like free fruits, drinks, snacks, side dishes etc. which was really nice, really enjoyed their free jasmine milk tea. The menu was slightly confusing but nothing you can't navigate, the initial course of the wagyu meat was very very good, and the rest of the meat were very good as well, all thinly cut and fresh. We got the gold package and the seafood platter was impressive too. My husband doesn't eat seafood and I wanted to try their seafood so we both got the gold package but couldn't finish most. The side dishes like wagyu sushi and bone marrow were really delicious as well. Some issues I had was that it took forever and ever for the food to come out when it's ordered from the kitchen, when there isn't that many filled tables, and when you have a 90 min time limit to dine, I would expect things to come out quickly. Also, we would order stuff from the menu and some of them would just never come... until the waiter tells us that we can grab them ourselves from the side dish section, then why have it on the menu at all to be ordered...? These new restaurants are fun and this one was good enough I probably would come back, but some of these small details make me prefer the older/more traditional restaurants in flushing.
