I came here yesterday, Friday, around 7pm and the place was about half full. The food was good and plentiful, it was constantly being stocked. The staff was attentive and removed the dirty plates and napkins often. My favorite was their scallops was heavily flavored with garlic. The snow crab legs were good and was never empty. The clam and oyster was stocked, but I did not eat them as they stack those, stacking oysters can lead to warmer temperatures for the oyster and the outside shell might that be all that clean. Everything else however was great. I would definitely come back here.

Umi is located in a small shopping center with a parking lot. This place is very spacious with high ceilings and lots of seating. Was greeted warmly and immediately seated upon walking in, no wait time (though it was a weekday.) Everything was clean and waiter brought drinks out very quickly. The sushi selection was astounding. There were plenty of rolls to choose from and the fish looked, smelled and tasted fresh. This is an all you can eat -- which includes a buffet of cooked food and hot pot options. There was a beautiful selection of desserts as well. Unfortunately I was filled with sushi, so I couldn't try anything else. I will definitely be back for the hotpot and subsequently the buffet.

Great food, okay, service.Everything is included the only thing I can say is make sure you pay before you sit at your table. They told my wife that she had to pay for drinks for my kids i had asked you the lady that sat us down.If drinks were included , she said yes

Well I want to give this place five stars, but it was my first visit here and I wasn't really wowed enough for the five stars. I will say it deserves the four. Now I was invited to join some friends for lunch, not really knowing what to expect. After the visit I have to say the space is beautiful. They have so many different areas of tables to dine, I'm sure you could bring an army. You do have to eat altogether. There is no waiting inside for your party. They do have a seating area for you to wait. So if do plan to meet or bring someone, come together. Now to the food. So many options. I do love the way area is together. A hot soup area, dessert area, sushi area, topping area, seafood area, etc. Every thing is in order. You eat all you can for one price. They come to your table to see clear it, for you to go get more. The price is cheaper for lunch and the weekends you pay more. For three people today our bill was about $80 total. All you can eat. Thumbs up,and I'll be back sooner than later. Happy Yelping!

Came here a few weeks ago. It was very welcoming. The place was bright and someone was waiting at the entrance to seat me. I loved how spacious it was and how there was always someone bringing out more food as each tray of food was destroyed by customers. Aside from soft drinks like most buffets they also offered unlimited boba tea which was a plus. There was so much food to choose from. I had so many different types of shrimp. I also had ramen, squid, oysters... the options were endless. I was stuffed like the Pillsberry dough boy lol Check out this place for yourself you won't be disappointed and you definitely won't leave hungry!

Let's start off by saying the word efficient. The management here is no rookie, you can tell by paying attention. We went in signed in for seats electronically and were texted A23 as our group number. It included a link where it told you exactly how many groups were ahead of you. This place was packed and overflowing. We waited a little short of 20 minutes before we got the text to come in. As soon as we shucked our way towards the host table , they called our number we followed a hostess and was seated. There is a 2 hour time limit for each table and despite the chaos and crowd, I thoroughly believed they were clocking it. I get it. Can't let people stay all day and eat. However,it was more then enough time to get your eat on and rest in between. The servers were moving so fast, yet always available. It was impressive to be honest. As soon as 1 dish started to dwindle out comes a server with hot plates to switch it out. I mean I had to take a breath for a second watching the inner workings. Like a well oiled machine. It ran very smoothly even with 120ish people all around. The food. Okay. There are things you expect from a buffet. Then there are things that you are shocked to ever find in a buffet. Like frog legs, lambchops, caviar, prime rib, hot pot, ramen, boba tea and escargot. They had a constant rotation of fresh sushi and sashimi available. A hot pot ingredient assortment. All types of crab, hot and cold. Dungeness, blue and snow crab available. Crawfish. Clams, mussels, oysters. They really had it all. Salmon, Bass, Tilapia etc. For the price point of $34 on a weekend it was seriously the best deal ever. A hibachi, ramen, hot pot station. Dessert section with cakes, cookies and creams. Tea section hot and cold. Soup section. Seafood and standard chinese/buffet food. Fresh fruit station. Workers switching out food platters and cleaning up all at once. There is beauty in chaos. I admire cleanliness and efficiency. We each had roughly 4-7 plates each. My favorite was the honey walnut shrimp that I caught straight from the kitchen nice and hot. Crispy and sweet. These blue crabs in some type of salt and pepper stir fry. Salt and pepper shrimp. My daughter loved the sushi table. She was so impressed with the quality of it. My sister loved the pork belly and the frog legs. My son favored the standard buffet fare. The ramen I had was the only thing I did not like. I chose #1 and it lacked depth and richness for me. They have such a huge variety that even the pickiest of eaters could find atleast 3 plates to eat.

I've been seeing this place all over social media, so I decided to try. It's a franchise and I was torn between which one to go to. I decided on the one in the Bronx. I went around 8pm. The place seems pretty clean and the server was friendly. It's set up like a typical buffet hot and cold stations etc. The noodle bar was closed l'm assuming because of the time. However, there was still a lot of food to choose from. Some of the choices didn't look to appetizing. I could tell they were not that fresh. That made me reluctant to try some of the food. So I can only tell you about the things that I was willing to try. I had the Fried Rice which was very tasty, the seafood boil which consisted of crab legs, corn, crawfish and shrimp. I wasn't a fan the crab legs were dry and it didn't have much seasoning on any of it. I had to oxtails which were good, they were tinder and well seasoned. (This isn't Caribbean style). The beef and broccoli was good as well. I tried the fried chicken, but it was dry like it was out for a long time. I had the chicken tacos which were fresh and flavorful definitely a 10 out of 10. I didn't try any of the sushi because I could tell it wasn't fresh. The fruit station look well put together and fresh. I only tried the dragon fruit and was kind of disappointed because it was sour. I also had a few selections from the desert bar. I like the coffee flavored sponge cake and I had some vanilla ice cream. As far as drinks, they had a bunch of different teas, but they were very sweet so I opted for seltzer water instead. I gave it a two stars because most of the food looked old and the they didn't refill anything in the buffet. I do believe because it was 8pm and they were closing at 10. I did like that fact they posted signs encouraging people to not waste food lol. I don't think I will be returning here. I gave a 3 stars because the place was clean, they had many different food options, the servers were friendly and it wasn't too crowded.

I've had terrible experiences at other buffets but this one was pretty good! No stomach issues after eating. Decent food options. Staff was nice and efficient and bathroom was clean. Would def return

Food is delicious. , unlimited Boba teas when you dine . This place gets crowded and long wait times. Take out is better than dinining in for me. Great food options for everyone. A little pricey . Moderately loud, beautiful Asian Decorations!

Finally after a few times seeing Instagram reels on this place I decided to go. I came on a Saturday night when a little snowstorm was coming and the place was packed! First thing I did like was that there was a kiosk machine where you simply put in your name, #of ppl in your group and your phone number to reserve your seat. Their was a security guy who was very helpful with the reserving process and helping the staff call out the numbers and looking for people that were waiting in between the doors (that's how packed the waiting area was) and coordinating the groups. There wasn't a lot of space and seats in the waiting area but that didn't really matter because numbers were being called fast. The good thing was that the ticket number on your phone also shows how many are ahead of you so you can step outside for a bit and go to another store in the mall while you wait instead of waiting in the restaurant. I had a group 4 and we were called in under 10min. I really liked the decor and the lighting in the restaurant. Everything looked clean and fresh. I was looking forward to the sushi but sadly my fav type of sushi is shrimp tempura but the tempura wasn't fresh! I did try others that made up for it and they also have soy sauce, eel sauce, spicy mayo and siracha sauce that you can put into plastic to go cups with covers & chopsticks! I loved how organized and detailed they were with their drinks, dessert, food and sections! The birthday celebration was so funny! There were like 10bday celebrations and the waitresses would come out with a little slice of cake & a neon happy birthday sign! Very cute and fun to celebrate there with the family! I would def like to go again and try their sushi fresh! Since the restaurant is inside of a mall; there is plenty of parking inside the mall parking lot and drop offs outside of it for cab drivers.

Absolutely great!! First time i got ramen & wouldn't be the last. Been there 3x and still haven't experienced the whole menu. Can't wait to go back.

Umi had a large variety of food. There was sushi, hot pot, ramen, hot and cold seafood, classic Chinese dishes, and lots of desserts. There were so many options. However, I felt most of the things I tried lacked flavor. I went to another umi and didn't have this issue. I really enjoyed the short ribs (even though they were cold), the Thai style wings, and the salt and pepper shrimp. We were seated within 10 minutes, and had to chase down a waitress to get a refill. They gave us our bill about 35 minutes in, which I thought was weird. The restaurant was very clean and they love to celebrate a birthday. We heard the birthday song 4 times while there

Bright new and shiny.

The food was mediocre at best. The place is very clean, and the workers are constantly cleaning the stations which is nice. However, the food is nothing overwhelming. As soon as my friend and I got to our seats and before we could takeoff our hat and coat, a waitress was asking us what we wanted to drink and she was very insistent. I asked her if we could takeoff our hat and coat first before answering and she just stood there and stared. The waitresses are eager to get a tip so when they give you your receipt, they ask you about the tip. That's horrible!!!!!!

After visiting regularly, I've come to know the wonderful people who run it--with professionalism, warmth, and consistency. A quick disclaimer: I'm recommending Kiraku based on a personal preference for sushi that honors traditional preparation--clean, balanced, and free from excessive sauces or unnecessary embellishments. I've been to highly rated sushi spots where every piece is smothered in sugary, multi-ingredient sauces, masking the flavor of the fish and turning the experience into something overly rich and far from authentic. Kiraku stands apart. Their sushi is beautifully restrained--great-quality fish, well-prepared rice, and flavors that are distinct and harmonious. For those who enjoy bolder options, there are a few heavier sauce-based rolls on the menu. But for me, the real strength of Kiraku lies in its refined, minimalist approach. If you appreciate true sushi craftsmanship, this place is a hidden neighborhood gem with extremely good pricing for the quality you're getting.

The drinks were good, the food was good, and the vibe was exactly what I've come to expect from them. But let me tell you about what happened after. When I got home, I didn't realize that I had left my sunglasses on the table. The next morning, when I couldn't find them, I figured that must be where I left them. I reached out to the restaurant, but honestly, in my heart I thought there was no way I'd ever see them again. Well... I was completely wrong. I received a response, and America (I hope I spelled her name correctly!) found them and held them for me until I could pick them up. Yes, the sunglasses were brand name, but to me it's the honesty and loyalty that really speaks volumes. That kind of integrity says a lot about a place and the people who work there. I'm incredibly thankful--and it's just another reason I'll keep coming back.

They've kept up by offering decent Asian inspired apps and entrees. At the tail end of Covid they pivoted to include Seafood Boils as an option. Not a fan of boils so unsure how that option is going. Another option, Hibachi, which we also are not big fans of, unless forced upon us by friends or family. Is prepared on these red glowing tables and appears to appeal to the masses, so that's a good thing. During our visits, generally on the early side of dinner hours, service has always been attentive and our meals, most often than not are prepared as expected. There has been the occasional slight hiccup while dining in or when ordering for delivery, but nothing major. The aesthetics of this place continues to appeal with their colorful facade. And their interior is just as inviting with ambient lighting of red hues throughout the restaurant, enhancing the Asian inspired statues and textured wall designs. It's nice that Ikko has kept up with this large piece of real estate, providing decent meals and continuing to keeping themselves relevant within the neighborhood.
