Had recently purchased a Honda CR-V Lx from 99' & was eager to give it a fresh clean service as its new owner. As this was my first purchase of a vehicle I didn't know of a trustworthy mechanic at all but then I found out about Sarik Auto Center through Openbay. Came in for a 105,000 mile servicing & full inspection & lord was this place proactive in the hospitality! The head mechanic Gene proactively went above & beyond to make sure I was taken care of even though I was a first time customer. Super genuine individual, honest, doesn't cut any corners & won't waste your time with BS. Gives you pricing options to work with, shows you difference between cheap, affordable & premium items, is interactive with the customer & actively tries to help the individual understand the diagnosis of your vehicle & is very accommodating. During the inspection he made me aware of a very poorly worn passenger side upper control arm that had too much play in it & he was able to replace it same day within a couple hours & the vehicles been driving like a Pearl since then. Not to mention, he had a Kick-ass staff backing the shop up as well. All around great services provided at this location & I would highly recommend. Will be returning for future services for sure ! I put so much trust in Gene but he just ripped me off. For the oil leaking he changed the oil pan which is last part of the oil equipment but actually oil drips top to down. My $750 is gone and leaking is still there. When I got my car back there was a strange noise wasn't there before. Some other guy from the shop solved it for free at least. The main problem of the car is something else but he didn't wanna involve cos it's too much work. I guess his laziness saved me from an other grand. Some other mechanic offered me a simple solution for what Gene didn't wanna do. Thanks to internet and this reviews only real people will survive. They are only doing on the car what"s needed. I was told by another mechanic that I need to change timing belt at 98k miles, and it would cost me 800. As I did not have his trust, I went to see this place wich was advissd to me by a friend. First good news was about price, it was a lot lower and I was told that there is no need to change it just yet, as it woild need to be changed at 120k miles. This place goes beyond the call of duty! My Heat indication on my Avalon 1999 was through the roof on H! My car wouldn't move. I took my car in for service at four different locations and got four different incorrect diagnosis. prices for parts and labor from the first four crappy auto shops ranged from $475 - $900. A friend recommend Sarik Auto Center center. Sarik spent three hours on my car & fixed the problem. He noticed that my cars engine was sending the wrong singles to my cars on-board computer. I needed serious engine head repair, other shops pushed me to replace the whole engine but this shop gave me a fair price for the service I asked for, and after rebuilt heads my car is purring better than ever. Even better, they fixed other items I didn't even request, loose molding and a non working parking light! As someone fairly new to cars I couldn't have asked for a better experience. As your average Joe, or average Gary - I know next to nothing about fixing my car. Thus, for years experiences of dealing with auto-mechanics and auto-repairs were shall we say, less than satisfying. I would pay more, I would get less, I would never quite know what the problem was or what was fixed or how it was fixed. It was all a big mystery, kinda like creation of the universe, but much more complex. Well, not here. Eugene, manager of the shop, is a professional to the bone and runs his shop like clockwork.. Honest, personable and no b*ullshitter. Mind you - it's an unassuming shop - you probably won't get free coffee but you will get your car fixed....and painted if needed. He will diagnose the problem quickly and give you a fair price. You will know exactly what is being done, what parts are being ordered, receipts for said parts, the works. He might even entertain you with a joke or two. We need more professionals like Eugene and his staff in all spheres of or live - from doctors to teachers to lawyers. Been going here for many years, Eugene is the only mechanic that didn't screw me over, he's smart and can diagnose everything, I had a bad caliper that failed I was scared to drive my car on the highway it was rattling and making lots of noise, came to him he took it for a test drive didn't hear it, lifted the car checked the spinning and found that it seized. Fixed it same day, charged me parts and labor and I googled them to make sure it wasn't over payed, he didn't overcharge at all, did a great job and I come back whenever I have any issues. Thanks so much for running a fair business. A note to people who come, place doesn't look fancy, but it's not what I need. I need someone who knows what there doing and does it well.
