Chicken bacon ranch pizza, Hawaiian pizza, Breadsticks with Cheese
    Emily J.

Sara's has our favorite chicken bacon ranch pizza in the world. It's amazing hot, even better left over the next day. We got a Hawaiian this time too, and it was LOADED UP. We order for delivery and they're always pretty quick, even at peak times. Usually we have the same delivery driver and he always says he remembers us from last time Always a great experience!

I was visiting from out of town and looking for some pizza and breadsticks for dinner. I found Sara's on the map and headed there. It is a cute, family run restaurant. It has a few parking spots and some tables inside. Mostly I saw carry out and delivery happening. Everyone in the kitchen was working hard! I hung out and waited for my order. Everything about this place was welcoming. I got my dinner and headed to where I was staying. This absolutely hit the mark. the pizza had a delicious sauce and the breadsticks were cheesy goodness on their own. If I was local, this would probably be a go to for me.

First time getting pizza here. We got the original Sicilian pizza. It's very good. Excellent flavor!! Service was good too. It's a small place but there are a couple tables if you want to eat inside.

Pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers. The perfect pie.

Not bad. Delivery was quick. Cheese bread was great. The pizza was good. I don't think there's anything here to write home about. Very fresh ingredients, excellency choices in meats, and very friendly staff make for a great pie. Crust was good. I think it could have been cooked a hair longer. No golden brown cheese near the edge and that makes me sad. It's excellent pizza, just no wow factor. In the sea of pizza places in any major city I think Sara's holds its own. Never going to be a bad choice for the money. We'll order again for sure!

This is the best pizza I've had in Michigan and there Italian menu is amazing. We also had the Spaghetti & meatballs and it was so good. The spaghetti sauce was the best I've ever had and the meatballs were so flavorful. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

My favorite pizza in the greater Grand Rapids area, even through the change of ownership, the recipe and ingredients have stayed the same.

The theming is truly off the charts with so many cool things everywhere you look. I've been in both the lower and upper floors of the restaurant and the fun follows all throughout. The food was good and had good portion sizes. The menu has a lot of Hawaiian and Asian flavors represented. The drink menu is massive with a great section of NA mocktails that were really fairly priced. We got drinks and entrees and the entire process took around 45 minutes with me struggling to decide what to order. The service is really attentive without being overbearing. The use of both servers and food runners allowed for the process to be quick while not feeling rushed at all. Our server also gave great recommendations and was helpful throughout the night. While the price of things may feel high, I do think the ambiance was pretty worth the cost and the food was enjoyable! I'd definitely come back.

We had reservations and did have to wait about a half an hour to be seated, but we were brought to a table in an intimate little nook which made the wait worth it. To be honest, you shouldn't have to wait that long when you have reserved a table as a specific time. Russell was our server and greeted us immediately. Other staff members actually brought out the food we ordered but rusted check on us occasionally. He was personable and friendly. We started with cocktails. Hubby had the Penicillin cocktail substituting in bourbon. I had the non-alcoholic Orange Creamsicle. I love that Max's had a few NA options among their huge cocktail list. We shared the wonton nachos as a starter, which had huge cubes of tuna on top the lightest wontons along with wakame, jalapenos, edamame, avocado, and pineapple salsa. Amazing! For dinner hubby had the drunken noodles, black garlic chicken thighs with cabbage, brussels sprouts, carrots and peppers on top of rice noodles with peanut sauce. I tasted his dish, and it was so flavorful and the chicken was very tender. I ordered the tuna poke bowl, sushi rice surrounded by wakame, avocado, carrots, shallots, and edamame then topped with poke sauce. So good! I did have to send it back, though, because the tuna came out with furikake after I told our server that I don't do seeds. The kitchen flubbed up, but they were happy to make my dish seed free. This restaurant was definitely a fun visit and it reminded me of Kon-Tiki-Ports in Chicago. If you're in the Grand Rapids area, I do recommend stopping by for dinner or sit at the bar for one of their cocktail creations. The atmosphere is fantastic!

Lastly the sauce on top I chose yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce. This may be an odd combination, but it works. These unique combinations were delicious. I devoured it. The steak and chicken were both high quality and worth it for them alone. I also got an order of a new item for Korean Fried Chicken ($10). The chicken was tiny. However it was fried to perfection and tasted delicious. The garlic soy was a dollar extra, but it definitely paired perfectly with the chicken. I got a can of Root Beer for almost $3. A little pricey, but the only real negative. The service was good with a caveat. I could not hear the lady taking my order, because she talked so quietly. Overall still a 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely, a unique food experience done in a top notch way.

I ordered a large (24 oz) spicy salmon bowl on crisp kale salad. I like that they still do the build your own bowl option while having some specialty bowls for those who might be overwhelmed by all the options. The large bowl was $16 but it was definitely a big portion that I could have shared. The spicy salmon bowl has creamy avocado and chili mayo, classic sauce (soy and sesame oil), blistered habanero, cucumber, avocado, and wasabi tobiko. The bowl was super tasty - and definitely had a bit of a kick, nothing super wild but I did notice the heat. The chunks of salmon were large and a nice portion, and I really liked the kale salad. I think it was complemented well by the other bowl ingredients. I couldn't tell for sure, but I think it was lightly dressed, so it didn't seem like just dry kale, which was nice. I really enjoyed this meal and will be back to try other bowls with kale, which is a nice option for those who don't want cold rice as other reviews have mentioned (and was my main complaint the first time I visited). They also serve Hawaiian shave ice, which I've never had but really want to try soon!
