My goodness. I'm not sure where to begin but Sara's Doughnuts is up there in terms of deliciousness. Before heading to Sara's Doughnuts, I called ahead because I have read from other reviewers Sara's Doughnuts sells out on the best ones! I ordered the glazed sour cream, red velvet (of course), and blueberry. The doughnuts are moist on the inside and have the perfect amount of glaze on top. Great place for cheap (not too sweet) donuts and sausage rolls! I love how their donuts are not completely covered in glaze and sugar. You can actually taste the dough. My daughter's favorite is the star donuts with sprinkles! Got to get there early before 11 am, if you want to have a selection. They close at noon, and some days the donuts are gone by 11. read more

I came here a few months ago to try their doughnuts because there are several other locations that were brought into our office that have superb doughnuts, but this location is closest to me. Anyway, I got up early to make sure to get fresh doughnuts to take to work. They were horrible! They tasted like they were old doughnuts from the grocery store. LOVE this place. I like giving my business to family run places over Dunkin Donuts anyday...and they are WAYYYY better to boot! Everytime i come in i'm greeted with a smiling face. They have great, fresh donuts probably the best I've had. My favorite is the Sour Cream donut, nice and creamy texture. I love this donut shop! Everyone there is super nice and it gets super busy in the mornings, not to mention traffic on Medlock is horrible, so try to go earlier if possible. My favorites are red velvet and the original glazed which just absolutely melts in your mouth. They aren't cakey at all like over raised donuts. They also have a really big selection of other donuts and sausage rolls too and although I haven't tried the sausage rolls yet, they look really golden brown and awesome. read more

I love the pigs in a blanket here. The donuts are also a plus but they even have a jalapeño with cheese pig in a blanket. ...i hate anything spicy but was very surprised how delicious it was. The coffee isn't really anything special. Customer service was great and very welcoming! Also is very clean! You should definitely stop by, make sure to stop early bc once it's gone that's it. In general, I find donuts to be really boring, unhealthy for no good reason, and sometimes pretty tasteless. This place could get me eating donuts again. They are really fantastic donuts. As a Northerner, I have to proudly state that I love me some Dunkin. I even enjoy Krispy Kreme from time to time, so when I say, "why would you ever go anywhere else for a donut!?" I LOVE this place. Love it. One of the doctors I work with would bring these donuts into work and I killed them. I finally stopped one day as I was driving by and went in. It's a small shop and nothing really special looking, by the donuts! I am a big "plain" donut person. Simple little doughnut shop that offers amazingly wonderful homemade doughnuts. I'm used to the doughnut shops with very unique offerings like matcha or flowers, but I've been the most impressed by Sara's Donuts and their simplicity. I think the mark of a good doughtnut shop is how they make their glazed doughnuts. And Sara's was exactly what I look for. The dough was light and airy while the glaze was sweet but not overly so. Their red velvet had a more cake like consistency and was heavier, but still delicious. We've made Sara's a tradition and now return every time we visit Atlanta. My only complaint is that they don't open beyond noon so sometimes I get disappointed when we can't make it before then but given that it is a mom and pop shop that bakes fresh, I'm okay with that. read more
