Gold Bunny is most likely my favorite donut place now since my previous all-time favorite, Doughnut Dollies, closed their locations. Their donuts have unique flavors and you can tell they're meticulously made, so it's not like your typical donut chain. One look at their case and I knew I had to have the creme brulee one. It's got that crackly burned sugar exterior with a delicious custard on the inside. We also tried the tiramisu one, which is almost as great. "It's not too sweet" which we know is kind of that gold standard for the perfect dessert. Service was ok. I'm glad we came after a weekend lunch when they weren't as busy. There's some seating inside and they have a pretty extensive drink menu of different teas/boba, but I think the donuts are where they shine the most. Also didn't allow me to add boba to my coffee even for additional fee. It's my drink! Otherwise I was glad to try the lavender pistachio coffee. This place was so good that we had to go back a second day on our trip. The donuts are all the same with a different flavor of filling but you can't go wrong because the quality is all the same and it's perfection. We were able to try banana, ube, Boston cream, coconut, raspberry, crème brûlée, and Oreo. My least favorite was the ube but the donut is still so good that it doesn't really matter. These donuts are so so yummy - literally craving one as I'm writing this review. We got a 6-pack of their milk strawberry milk donut, cookies and cream, and 4 of the banana cream donuts. If you try anything PLS try their banana cream donuts. They are so delicious! I'm usually skeptical about banana flavored things since most of the time they're very artificial tasting but these donuts taste just like banana bread. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for donuts with friends. There's a few tables inside but most people get the donuts/drinks to go. It was a bit of a wait to order as there was a line and only one worker. I tried the Pistachio and Banana donuts and really liked the Banana one. The donuts are soft but a bit dry and have a lot of cream compared to dough. Of the two I tried I really liked the banana flavor. I do want to come back and try other flavors! Cute little pastry shop. A pretty good mural inside for snapping those desired IG pics. We were impressed with how soft our donuts were and they weren't overwhelming sweet like most pastry spots. My kids are addicted to boba and they all approved of their drinks. Now the inside is tiny, so plan on grabbing your donuts and snapping photos quickly to allow others to get through. Since working from home I had to find a substitute for Duch Monkey Doughnuts. Gold Bunny Donut is as close as I've found in the area. It occupies the same space as a former mochi doughnut shop a few doors down from Petco. It doesn't have kiosks like the previous business so you need to order from the counter. By 5pm most everything else was sold out or only had one remaining. If you're picking up some for later your choices will be limited later in the day. I bought Nutella filled and Oreo filled. The doughnuts are soft and freshly made every day. Not overly sweet either. Much better than any big box doughnut shop and even better than a lot of the near by locals towards Johns Creek. The flavor selection is also unique compared to the big box stores. Still doesn't beat Duch Monkey but it's the best in Duluth. read more

The cream inside was light and not TOO sweet compared to most desserts. The flavors of the creams were strong which I really appreciated. I have been wanting to try Gold Bunny Donut for a while! This is a place that not only sells cream puff donuts but also drinks. They have different flavors of donuts every week, including some "Asian" flavors such as taro and ube. It is a tiny space inside with limited seating available, so it is probably more ideal to grab the food and go. Also, there is a chance that they sell out of the cream puff donuts or have less flavor options available, especially if you come later in the day so keep that in mind. My friend and I came before closing and the only flavors left were Black Sesame Cream, Blueberry Cream, and Everything Dagel. We got the Black Sesame Cream and Everything Dagel and the cashiers only let us pay for one of them instead of both! So the service was definitely good and the cashiers were friendly. The Everything Dagel was interesting? The filling tasted like sweet cream cheese but I was expected it to be fully savory. It was okay. The Black Sesame Cream was pretty good and tasted just like black sesame. I did not think it was too sweet either. We came out since we wanted to see Gold Bunny selection of cream donuts and we're we surprised. This place took over from the mochi donut spot and even though it's kind of on the same line of donuts, it was different. Inside you have 4 tables, very limited seating, but this is definitely a takeout spot. Since they're opening, there were some discounts. 10% off with 4+ donuts in an order, and if you order 6, you get a free boba with kokee tea. They seem to have combined two stores into one. Donuts provided by Gold Bunny and then boba is provided by kokee. It's an interesting concept to have split the business space. We tried the Ube/taro, Strawberry, Tiramisu, mango & Passion fruit, Earl grey, and apple cream donuts. They were all delicious. The donuts are absolutely filled to the brim with cream so be careful while biting into it and it going everywhere. I think there's a delicate way to eat these donuts and I definitely need practice. Had the pleasure of trying Gold Bunny Donut on a recent trip to Duluth, GA. Store front has a modern but cozy feel. I could see myself meeting friends here for coffee and donuts. I didn't get drinks, but the baristas were nice and friendly. Also have to say that the bunny design and boxes are just so cute! Onto the donuts...I was amazed at how many unique flavors of donuts they had. All of them are cream filled....now hear me out! As someone who has to be in the mood for cream-filled donuts...these are delicious!! They are not overly sweet and the texture is not runny like custard...because that's what I usually expect. It's a fluffy consistency... almost like a whipped cream cheese and tastes a whole lot lighter. You have to try...once you do...you'll know why they're set apart from all these other donut and bakeries in an overly crowded Asian bakery area. The everything bagel tasted like a light version of the original. I actually prefer this over a bagel...very savory, soft, flavors are all there with a nice balance...and the filling...just fantastic...exactly cream cheese flavor achieved! The black sesame was delicious too...I didn't know what to expect but it was flavorful where you got the hint of sesame and had a light cream that was not overpowering. My husband's favorite was the Ube Coconut...it even looks eye pleasing with the bright purple. In fact...he loved it so much, he didn't even share but said it was perfection and the best donut he's had...wants to drive almost 3 hours back to Duluth...fight the I-285 and I-85 traffic to get another one. I'm gonna do a separate review on this one to add when we go back...need to verify this statement from him. Or if other ppl try it then please post review so I can see if it's consistent - until I get back that way! Biscoff/cookie butter was awesome...perfect balance and not overly sweet. I've been pretty obsessed with cookie butter lately so this probably my favorite along with the everything bagel. The chocolate donut/breading portion was not overly sweet with the cream on the dark ganache side so this is probably going the be the sweetest filling you will get. It has that touch of bitter to the chocolate which I really appreciated and texture-wise it's still light but probably the closest to custard-like you will get. I had it after dinner as a dessert and it was a perfect ending. This place is relatively new, so I decided to check it out. I think it is worth a visit if you are in the area, but I wouldn't drive super far just to check it out. They have a lot of fun Asian flavor options along with some traditional flavors. The donuts are not super sweet and very pillowy but I do wish that some of the cream flavors were a little stronger. The Ube donut was good, super filled, and had a nice Ube flavor. The cookies and cream donut was good, but it didn't taste that much like cookies and cream; it just tasted like a regular donut with cream and wasn't that exciting. The person who served us was helpful but definitely a little overwhelmed with the crowd that was waiting to be served. Also, be aware that late in the afternoon, they can sell out, and it might be a bit before they have more, so you might not get exactly what you want. They also sell bubble tea here from Kokee Tea, which is good, but again, depending on how many people need to be served, it might take a minute. The mango passionfruit was good, but I wish the fruit flavor was a little stronger; it was super refreshing. I liked the taro milk tea and it had a really nice flavor, I liked the honey boba in it. I heard that there's usually a line, but when I went, it was just a short wait. The store was crowded though! I came during their BOGO special, which makes it way more affordable. Normally the donuts are about $5 a piece which is pretty pricey for me. It definitely would limit how many I would buy! BUT, since it was BOGO, I bought 10 for my family. We all split it up and tried different ones. The flavors I bought were biscoff, banana pudding, oreo, tiramisu, matcha, ube, and Nutella. As I said, I'm not usually a fan of filling in my donuts, but Gold Bunny definitely does it well! The dough was soft and fluffy and the filling was the perfect amount and not too sweet. Nothing was overpowering. You could definitely eat multiple donuts in one sitting. We loved all the flavors that my sister even went back shortly after to buy more, but sadly they had already sold out for the day. I like the size of the donuts. They're definitely shareable.
