For Madison, TN this is a great place. The lunch specials are 6.99 for 2 rolls or 9.99 for 3 Rolls. They give you a list of about 18 rolls to chose from. Most of the rolls on the Lunch special menu are basic ones but still good! Dinner is great too. The Chef Special roll is awesome. The normal everyday rolls like the spicy tuna, eel, and rainbows are great! The Volcano Roll was another one of my favorites. You won't be disappointed I promise. read more

Love this place! The sushi is great but so is the rest of their food. Wonderful vegetarian options - I recommend the sweet potato sushi roll and their tofu stir fries. We decided to try this place after reading all the good Yelp reviews. We ordered the 3 roll lunch special: salmon and avocado, spicy tuna, and eel rolls for $9.99. Unfortunately, there was very little fish in the rolls, the spicy tuna roll was bland, and the seaweed was a little soggy. The soup and salad that came with the meal was average. This USED to be one of my favorite places to eat in the Rivergate area. Had a "Bento Box" for lunch that cost about eight dollars with some great variety. The tempura shrimp and veggies were very good. Moved out of the area for awhile and when I came back, the Bento was $14.00. I am no longer interested in Sapporo. Many restaurants are only spending around 15% on food costs anymore. This is not a negative on the quality of the food, just the prices. read more

Glad to find a non steak house Japanese restaurant in the area. They offer variety of Japanese from Ramen to Bento box. I can't say they are authentic but they definitely stand out from other Japanese restaurants within the area. Had Nagasaki Champon and sushi for lunch. No. Just don't. I was SO optimistic. I've driven past this place and swore I'd never go until I read their positive Yelp reviews... I don't know if I blame Yelp or this "fusion" crap for this urge to vomit atm. I went with the highly recommended lunch special, 2 rolls, soup, salad. My friend had a California roll, Tuna sashimi "appetizer" (it was the last thing to arrive at the table) and Tonkotsu "meat based" ramen. The salad was a few torn pieces of iceburg w/shredded carrots, which is ok because I'm usually in it for the dressing (bleh) I gave the miso to my friend, who proceeded to dump soy sauce in it (maybe lacking flavor?) Then came the Ramen. Topped with an overly cooked hard boiled egg (green around the yolk) it was swimming in murky brown broth, did they put cream in it? I don't know how you get it to look that way. We were told the sashimi would be out in a minute and we're left with no dishes for soy/wasabi mix so we waited...when the $10 sashimi appetizer arrived I asked for a soy sauce dish, the waiter turned to the dirty table beside us to get soy dishes (gross) they weren't even upside down (I guess that's how they set them on a clean table)... I compared my "lunch special" Cali roll to my friends and it had little to no avocado and TONS of rice. It's really my fault. I went against my gut feeling. If you like sushi don't waste your time/money/or evening because you're vomiting. read more

I just moved to the area, and based on all the great reviews, decided to give this place a try. I left the restaurant feeling very confused as to why this place had such good ratings. If you think they have great sushi, you are missing out [by far] on actual great sushi. They seemed over priced and served less food than the sushi places in Central Florida that we were used to. We actually left the place feeling hungry. Service was OK; the server didn't seem to care much (and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant) and only came by to take the order, drop off food, then drop off the check. The restaurant seemed a little run down inside, but generally clean. I would consider going back to try any of their non-Japanese dishes, but I'll never waste my money buying sushi from them again. read more

I live right down the road from this place so it's become my go to sushi place. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food and staff are always nice. It's not on the menu but if you ask politely the chef will gladly throw together some delicious Onigiri. It's nice to be near a restaurant that is both good to eat at and easy on your wallet. read more

We waited 20 minutes to get water and another 20 minutes with no food before we walked out. I mean, I know things get busy, but this was ridiculous. We've been going there for a long time and know what to expect. We never even got the soup and salad that are usually served within 2 minutes of sitting down. The dagger to my hungry soul was that we were never even acknowledged - no "sorry guys, we're just a bit behind". Just nothing. It was pretty infuriating. I hope this was just a one-off type experience. But maybe hiring more staff is a good idea. read more

We went for dinner on their opening night at the new location on Nashville Pike. Food was absolutely excellent, my family and I will definitely return again. As it was the first night, the service was slow, but the staff were all very friendly and made up for their confusion.
