Meats and fried tofu set around the grill
    Christina L.

4.5/5 This is a new Korean BBQ and Hot Pot spot that opened just a couple of weeks ago. It's AYCE, and for an extra $5 per person you can do both options--which we did. Our 2-year-old wasn't charged (they start charging at age 4), which was appreciated since all he ate was edamame. lol. KBBQ: We ordered brisket, pork belly, pork cheeks, and bulgogi. While the pork cheeks didn't look like the exact cut I'm used to and the bulgogi was on the thicker side, everything still tasted really good. The prime brisket was fantastic! Overall, I'd rate the BBQ about 3.5/5. Hot Pot: We chose the Thai Tom Yum and Szechuan Spicy Peppercorn broths, both of which were impressively close to authentic flavors. We added sliced beef, pork, lamb, fried tofu, and a bunch of veggies, and everything cooked up deliciously. This part was a solid 5/5 for me. I hope they add something like a pork bone or miso broth in the future! Dipping & Banchan: For KBBQ, I mixed sesame oil and salt since they don't offer a brisket sauce. The banchan was about 3/5--the kimchi was good, the radish was okay, but the cucumber was bland and a little mushy. They have Chinese satay sauce--labeled as Shacha--which is the traditional dip for hot pot. Give it a good stir, ladle it into your sauce dish, and it's savory with just a slight sweetness. They also offer peanut and sesame sauces for traditional folk and BBQ and some other ones for variety. The only thing that would've made the sauce bar perfect is if they had ponzu. Service & Ambiance: Service was top-notch--super friendly, attentive, and helpful. Thanks Siska! The space itself is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I liked the added privacy in the booths compared to the previous restaurant in this location. TVs were playing local sports, which was a nice touch. Overall: Delicious food and a really fun experience. Next time, I'll probably choose either KBBQ or hot pot since juggling both was a bit tricky and easy to overcook. But overall, this is a great addition to the area and we'll absolutely be back! PS they have free ice cream for dessert!

Like others who've posted their reviews, I took my family there for the soft opening. I've been to the prior restaurant that occupied this space, J. Street, so I was curious what they did to change it. All in all, it's still the same with the massive LED screen on the back wall, but it was powered off. Not much was changed except the center area behind the hostess stand is now where you get appetizers, sauces, and vegetables. Obviously with the soft opening, there were kinks that needed to be worked out. The most apparent was the service. It took about 15 minutes after being seated before we saw anyone. Once our waiter came, he took our drink order but even then, it took a while for our drinks to arrive. Once they did, he took our order and explained how it worked. I've been to many Korean BBQ/Hot Pot combo restaurants before, so I get the gist of it. Here, the entire table has a choice of Hot Pot or Korean BBQ, or a combo (for both) is an upcharge of $5. The caveat is *everyone* must order the same thing. One person can't just do Hot Pot and another Korean BBQ. Since I wasn't about to pay $5 extra for both (my kids didn't want the Hot Pot), we just did the Korean BBQ. When you order, you can order as much as you want on the initial order (so I'm told). I assumed that an order of 2 Korean short ribs, 1 beef bulgogi, and 2 pork bellies would be a lot of meat and should tide us over until the next order. We also wanted some appetizers (edamame and crab rangoon) but our waiter directed us to the appetizer station at the front of the restaurant. In this station, you can get all the vegetables, sauces, with a small appetizer and dessert bar. The sauces and vegetables are mostly for the hot pot, as I saw limited options of what I wanted for the Korean BBQ. They did not have the edamame, but had chicken wings, rangoon, spring rolls, and fried rice. It took us about another 15 minutes to get our meat but I didn't expect the small portions. Each order of meat was very small. The Korean short ribs were just 1 strip of meat, the pork belly and beef bulgogi was 2 strips per plate. We cooked it all and once done, we downed it immediately. Then it was another 15-20 minutes before we could place another order. On our second go around, I ended up ordering a massive quantity of meat because I knew it would take a while before we got to cook it. Overall, I think this place is good but they have some kinks to work out, mainly the waiting. Our waiter was nice when we saw him. Throughout the evening, we didn't get some of the things we asked for (lettuce, extra white rice, refills), but like I said, nobody is perfect for soft opening.

Dishes I was served, sorry I'd eaten some before photo

Korean cuisine is my favorite cuisine partly due to loving the banchan side dishes. I saw on their website that both the hot pot and BBQ had a lunch for seniors for $16 so i drove quite a while for the experience to learn that the website was wrong and it would be about $30 -more than I want to pay for lunch and I can't eat that much. SO, they like so many other restaurants don't keep their websites current and I would take 1/2 star off for this shortcoming. But they showed me their menu and I chose the seafood soft tofu stew for $12.99. I felt I got good value. They served soup, 3 banchan dishes, and rice with it. All were delicious. I will be back the next time I'm in the area. The ambiance was good, I'd even choose it for anniversary dinner. The service was excellent. The waitress checked on me intermittently without being annoying. I recommend you try it, even if you never tried Korean before.

Hendersonville doesn't have a restaurant like this. Very nice building with plenty of seating, including private dining areas for large groups. Friendly staff, and the owner Joe was very welcoming. What a fun experience for everyone at the table. The hot pot was flavorful and delicious. So many choices for the soup and BBQ. If you have one of those days when you're not sure what to eat, go here. It's all you can eat too.

    Broths

This place is absolutely amazing. If I could give 10 stars, I would. We went during their soft opening. Service was beyond expectations. Atmosphere was amazing. Food was exquisite. It happened to be a few days before my birthday and I got the First birthday song. Made me feel quite special. This is the place to go if you're looking for food and fun and just an overall dining experience. One thing I will add is if you are allergic to mushrooms, they recommend that you get the gluten-free broth. I have a severe allergy to mushrooms so I had to get the gluten-free broth and add some of the sauces in there to add some flavor.

My family of 6 went during the soft open and it was amazing. The menu has something for everyone, a ton of options for noodles, broth, meat, and veggies. The service was great, our server was very knowledgeable and made really good recommendations for us to try. Can't wait to go back! Tofu and lots of vegetables, broth, and noodles available Tables have very hot grill and hot pots so children should be monitored by their parents to ensure they do not get burned. Seating options available for wheelchair users, buffet is low enough that it would accessible for them as well.

BBQ is subjective, but this location is hands down our favorite spot for wings. Smoky, spicy, flavorful. The ribs are good, and they have several different sauces you can try. On their recommendation, we leave it in the bag til we get home. They are always tender and moist. But, I think the thing that makes this location special is the people. The very first time we came through, the sweet woman working the drive through made us feel like she was happy to see us, and grateful for our business. The one time we came and they were out wings, she said call ahead and they'll hold some for us. So tonight, I called ahead and got myself a tray with my name on it, and we were welcomed like family. The dining area is tiny inside and parking is tight. But drive through is easy easy. Please give them a try, and tell em Char said hi!

This place could call itself a Meat and Three and probably do better. If you order their brisket it's not what you will be expecting. It looks and tastes like braised pot roast. Absolutely none of this is to say that their food is bad. I love BBQ from all the cross the US. I honestly can't call this any kind of traditional BBQ, and what I had I'm not entirely sure was smoked. So honestly and objectively, if you are hungry you can get a good meal here if you want a Meat and Three and close by. It does need to be said there are better Meat and Threes, that DO have BBQ that are better though.

Written reviews matched our secondary experiences. The service was disjointed, and uncoordinated, and the food, should have never been brought to the table. But the claims of, "Under New Management", offered some hope of reviving the standards that had previously earned their namesakes, reputation and growth. This morning's breakfast experience was an astounding disappointment. Greeted and seated by cordial, pleasant staff, we were a party of 3, occupying only the second table, at 9:15 AM. (That emptiness itself should have been a hint of what was to come.) It took much longer than expected just to get coffee and water. Still longer, to place an order, and nearly half-an-hour for the actual meal service. The quality of the food, was nothing short of astonishingly poor. Most notably, cold. Considering there were only two tables occupied in the entire dining room, the cold servings were the first indication of coordination, communications, process, and standards shortfalls. The food preparation showed the skillsets of a 12 year-old, trying to mimic Mom's kitchen routine. How can a restaurant cook not do toast? It was white bread, with a slightly stiff outer layer. Most people would describe it as, "stale bread"; not toast. The pancakes served with the "Lieper's Fork Favorite", were beyond belief. Three hard little discs, served cold, with chilled hard pats of butter, and NO syrup. I actually demonstrated to the very nice server, that the pancakes could NOT be cut with a fork. Again - could NOT be cut with a fork! Come on... They're PANCAKES! Not a single bite could be sampled, without the utility of a knife. I am not a small person. I tried three places around the brown discs to acquire a bite. Țhe effort was foreboding enough. Ì surrendered. The scrambled eggs and bacon were edible, though lacking temperature, and uncaring presentation. When the server saw that the pancakes were as fork resistant as a Frisbee, she took the plate to the kitchen manager. He was a nice, apologetic young man, who acknowledged that the pancakes were "Overcooked on one side..." He did offer to make more. I declined. I told him I sincerely appreciated his offer. But the issue was much deeper, than plastic pancakes. As indicated by the lack of clientele in a fairly large restaurant, there was a blinding flash of the obvious. They were squandering the owner's investment. The kitchen staff lacked the skillsets to produce the simplest traditional American Breakfast - and - the wisdom to refrain from placing it up for service. The plating looked SO incredibly bad, that it was obvious that both standards and personal pride were totally absent. The staff was nice. Ignorance is curable. Training, processes, and well established standards can develop nice people into effective business associates. It's not their fault. They have NO leadership directions. The owners have let them down. Țhose owners have had ample signals and time to cure these maladies. They have a model, in their other facilities - that's how / why they opened more than one restaurant. But those owners are apparently oblivious to the signals of absentee management, process inconsistency, and the gross lack of product standards, leading to failure. To those nice people working at Puckett's, I have a sincere recommendation. The best time to find a job, is when you already have one. Your current employer is going to fail; sooner rather than later. They will surely continue with their communications shortfalls. They will not tell you in advance. They will simply let you go when they finally lock the doors. Take care of yourself. FInd an employer who has a distinct business survival plan. Such plans, include coordination, process leadership, training, and holding a team accountable to perform to the standards they were trained to. You're not getting that.

So I was coming back home from my Sunday night hockey game and as I passed what I call "Restaurant…read moreRow", I realized I had nothing to eat for dinner. Or rather, I didn't feel like cooking. It was 7 o'clock and I just had Edley's the Wednesday prior at their Murphy Road location. I was craving those ribs again, so I made a U-turn and went back. Being so "late" on a Sunday in the suburbs, it wasn't very busy at all. Nobody was at the front register for several minutes until someone peeked around at the to-go area and told someone else. As you may know, I'm a man of habit. I ordered nearly the exact same thing as I always do at Edley's but swapped up the sides. Half Slab St. Louis Ribs platter, Chess Pie, but Grits Casserole and Collard Greens. If there's a vegetable side dish I love more than any other, it's any kind of greens. The fact that they had them (they normally aren't on the menu) was a no brainer. The grits casserole was a last minute swap up but I'm glad I tried them. Now, the thing with going late to any restaurant, especially barbecue joints is that the food tends to "age" as the day goes on. Like, your food isn't as "fresh" as if you came earlier in the day. I knew this going in but I wanted to point this out. The greens were delicious but because I went in late in the day, they were super tangy from the vinegar being cooked down over time. They had a nice heat to them and the leaves were overly cooked, but I enjoyed them nevertheless. The grits casserole had a nice rich cheesey flavor incorporated into them. Just like the collard greens, there was a subtle heat that sat on your tongue after the initial bite. The cornbread was fantastic. Warm, sweet, with also a heat kick to them. Lastly the ribs hit the spot, just like I expected them to. Compared to the other Edley's (where I went during prime time lunch), these were a little dry but they had the same flavor profile. Meaty, fatty, and tangy-sweet with that nice crunch of cartilage at the end. I ended up taking my chess pie home to heat up in the microwave (who eats cold pie)?? As always, it was fantastic. The only reason this wasn't as good as the other review is because I came at the end of the day and the food "sat" over time in their warmers and such. Like I said in my prior review for the Murphy Rd Edley's, Edley's has always been consistent no matter which location I go to and that's why it still gets a 5*.

Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the meal (though I will say that their potato salad was also pretty good). I went with a pulled pork plate. Dor my sides, I went with potato salad and mac and cheese. Originally, I was looking at the onion rings, but I asked if they were made in-house and the polite young man working the counter replied that all the fried food was frozen. I asked if the other stuff was made in-house and he confirmed that it was. While I waited for my food, I noticed how small the place was. Not a big deal, but I did notice. The ambiance was not bad, though. My food came out pretty quickly. The mac and cheese, supposedly made in house, tasted more like it came out of a box (like Kraft macaroni and cheese). I guess technically even if it was out of a box with dehydrated cheese and you just add milk, it is theoretically still made in-house. Basically, the mac and cheese was definitely a huge let down. The potato salad was pretty good. I enjoyed it. This was the best thing on my plate. The pulled pork was also disappointing. I have to wonder if this was bought from a food distributor. Again, the young man working here was very friendly and professional, but the food was definitely lackluster. I really cannot recommend here.

Hot Chickenus Supremus…read more I make it a point to try and visit at least one Hot Chicken place whenever I'm in the Nashville area. On a recent visit to the area I decided to hit up one of the places I had on my list for a while, Moore's Spicy Fried Chicken in Hendersonville. Moor's has been around for years and many a Hot Chicken Fan has visited this place. Moore serves up freshly made Fried, Hot, Spicy and Mild Chicken as well as Smoked Brisket and some other favourites. During my visit to Moore's iI just happened to be served by one of the owners/founders of Moore's. We had a great conversation talking about Hot Chicken, its history, and places that have come and gone. To keep things simple since it was lunch, I ordered a breast with medium spice and crinkle fries. My chicken was made from scratch and it took about 20 minutes for the whole process. When I received my chicken it was HOT, juicy, tender and fresh and with the perfect amount of crispiness. Even though In ordered my chicken mild, I was still wiping sweat off my face while I ate my meal. it was a very good Hot Chicken meal and one of the best I've had in a while. If you are a fan of Hot Chicken, check out Moore's for yourself !!!

I'm a big guy and the booth table was a tight fit for me, however there were no open tables with chairs. We decided to not let tat ruin our experience. My wife ordered the 8 oz. prime rib, I ordered the rib eye and our friend ordered the 8oz. filet. None of us had ANY complaints about the quality nor quantity of our meals. As a matter of fact, I will say that this is the BEST rib eye I can recall having eaten. Our server, Abbey, was right on top of our needs before we knew we needed her. The restaurant was clean and inviting and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Kudos Chop House, we will be back!

I tried the mozzarella sticks, and they were amazing! literally the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. I personally didn't love the rice that came with my teriyaki chicken, but they were so nice about switching it out for a different side. I ended up getting the mac & cheese, and it was so good. I'll definitely be coming back soon, and I'll try to take more pictures of the food next time. The place was also nice and clean.
