    Delicious sea bass pasta!

Just had dinner here recently and the food and service were both amazing! Seafood was fresh and the presentation was beautiful! Our server was very attentive and took very good care of us! Highly recommend this cute little place when in the neighborhood!

    My wife's dinner.

We were recommended by our Hotel Concierge and it was wonderful. We had a whole Sea Bass (Branzino) prepared to perfection. The service was impecable. We were treated very good and the waiter and waitress were alway attentive to our needs. There was a solo Artist playing a keyboard he sang mostly in English and Spanish, as the diners were either American or Mexican (my wife and me). The ambiance was very romantic. He sang very nice.

As we were having dinner a local man who is friends with the proprietor brought his puppy Berli by for a visit such a sweet pup!

I am gluten free and not by choice. so my husband went "Yelping" to find some place in Rome where I could eat. This place is simply fantastico. If you are nearby give Stefamo a visit at his restaurant. He and his restaurant are phenomenal! Thank you Stefamo a visit he will take great care of you..

A wonderful meal in November 2022. We stayed in Hotel Savoy just a few blocks away - this was an easy walk for dinner. A nice small restaurant with a live piano player and excellent service and fantastic food. Highly recommend. Fair and reasonable price.

Absolutely fantastic!! Carlo and crew treated us so well, we felt like family. The food was excellent. We went with what Carlo suggested and it didn't disappoint. The piano playing while dining added a special touch. We would highly recommend dining here.

My favorite restaurant in Rome! Such sweet people who work there. Also, amazing nightly piano artist performing at night. I love the food, very fresh and full of flavor. Very small place but very intimate and romantic. I want to go back to Rome just to visit here again.

Very good family restaurant. The owner will meet you and recommend what to choose. Also he plays piano. It makes atmosphere very romantic. The food is fresh and tasty. We had starters, fish and pasta. All was delicious.

My husband and I came here for dinner on our first night in Rome. We literally just left this place and feel totally mislead- kicking ourselves for not making a reservation earlier/researching more dinner options. Immediately when we walked up to the restaurant one guy was selling us on coming in, after we told him we made a reservation for 8pm he took us to the back, and cleared off his clipboard and wallet that was on our table. There were so many things that happened that were red flags- like him forcing a 60 euro bottle of wine from the start... didn't seem so bad at first, but when he brought out a slab of jelly and 8 slices of shitty cheese on a wooden board calling it a cheese platter it became questionable... we never even formally ordered it either! When we were discussing getting it, the waiter ended up being at our table opening the wine and he goes "that would go great with your wine" not mentioning anything about ordering it! The lasagna was microwaveable for sure and the spaghetti was garbage and had legit bacon bites on it. After being in Sorrento, then Tuscany, Florence and then coming to this garbage it's like we knew we were getting screwed- not a thing was authentic, and the waiters were sketchy to say the least. My husband and I were going to spilt this chicken dish as our main course and were so turned off by the experience we just wanted to pay and get out- told the guy we wanted the chicken to go. Picture attached of our to go "saltimbocca di pollo" vs the google image just to see what actual saltimbocca di pollo is suppose to look like. Why this place has high reviews is mind boggling - most of these reviews are absolutely fake. Take my word for it... Go ANYWHERE ELSE. Literally Olive Garden has higher standards!

Gnocchi alla Sorrentina was amazing and they made it gluten free for me!!!

At first when we arrived at Sofia's we were skeptical since the restaurant was completely empty (this was around 6pm). But then we realized that europeans tend to have dinner after 8pm (the restaurant filled up around that time). So don't hesitate to go inside if it's looking a little empty! What we had: Focaccia Bread - Possibly the best bread we had in Italy. It was made fresh and very well seasoned. Seabass carpaccio - light dish that was very well balanced. Duck ragu - omg this was beaut. Highly recommended Pasta with bacon? - pretty good as well but wasnt as good as the duck ragu. Duck breast with salad - cooked to perfection and all the flavors were very well balanced. Beef fillet - it was also cooked to perfection. The sauce complimented the dish very well. Overall, i wish we had the opportunity to eat here again rather than trying other restaurants that werent even half as good as this place.

As a Southern American trying to navigate Rome, I'm still completely confused. I cannot for the life of me figure out north vs. south or east vs. west in this city. Every street somehow looks historic, beautiful, and exactly the same. By 9 PM, after walking more than 10 miles today and standing in countless lines -- one for over an hour -- I was exhausted. I was close to my hotel and started looking for somewhere to eat. I had already passed Sofia earlier and really didn't want to backtrack even a few blocks. But after going the wrong direction again and somehow ending up right back near it, I figured that was a sign. So, Sofia it was. My ordering skills in Italy are still not exactly professional level. I really need a local Italian to help me. Yeah, I'm slow... remember, I'm from the South. I ordered the Mezza Maniche Carbonara. I mean, you can't really go wrong with noodles, cheese, and pork, right? A few minutes after ordering, they brought out this little appetizer-looking thing that I'm still confused about. It was this tiny little ball about the size of my thumb. I took one bite and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I'm not even sure I want to know what was in it, but at that point I was hungry enough not to ask questions. Then the pasta arrived. Drumroll... First bite? Absolutely divine. Rich, creamy, cheesy pasta with perfectly cooked pork mixed throughout. Fantastic. I devoured the entire plate, chased it down with a Coke, grabbed my glass bottle of water, and walked down the street carrying it like a Roman wino. Great food, great atmosphere, and a perfect little outdoor dining setup on one of Rome's tiny city streets

It's a small entrance down a cobblestone street but the outside is deceiving. Inside there's a bakery with all sorts of treats, and behind that, the restaurant opens up into a large dining area with big brick arches. It looks grand but is very casual. All the staff are super friendly and speak English. We tried a margherita pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto, tonnarlli cacio e Pepe with artichokes, and carbonara. Both pastas were fantastic with cheesy and creamy with a hint of spice from pepper. The pizza was awesome. If you enjoy thin crust or are carb sensitive this is for you. For dessert we tried maritozzo, basically a cream filled baguette which wasn't my favorite.

Overall, the food was quite good here and they had decent sized portions. Our favorite dish there was an artichoke carpaccio which came with shavings of pecorino, olive oil, arugula, and lemon juice -- surprisingly good! Pasta was thick and chewy, so it was quite filling, and it came with plenty of sauce. They have a decent selection of coffee, beer, and wine as well. The space is nicely decorated so it's fine if you're looking for something casual or for something a little nicer as well.
