We had dinner at Sapalta the night we arrived at Plum Point Lodge. We celebrated with cocktails while watching the moody dusk sky over Seneca lake. The food was served in perfect portion sizes, artfully plated and tasted delicious. So much so that we decided to come back for brunch the next morning. This farm to table restaurant is a major bonus for visitors to the lodge but a hidden gem for everyone else.

Food was just okay. Half our party ordered burgers, which were good. We got one order of the cabbage wrapped salmon (salmon was slightly dry) and one order of the duck (daily special). Duck was extremely overcooked, barely edible. The drinks were good, really enjoyed it. The service was fast. Interior and exterior seating is cute and fits with the plum theme.

Quite a nice lakefront restaurant connected to a lodge. It was raining so we opted to sit inside, but it would've been lovely to eat outdoors on a nice day. We ordered their summer melon prosciutto salad, hot chicken sandwich, and charcuterie board to try local cheese and meats. Their hot chicken is actually HOT. My dad had to ask to remake it without the sauce because it was unbearable for him, but they were kind about it.

Absolutely beautiful place on the water. Was a little chilly when we went so we ate inside. Food is farm to table which I appreciate. Got the beef tenderloin and crab bisque. Meal was delicious. Perfect portions not too big or too small. Our service was very friendly.

The super cozy restaurant with an amazing scenic view of the finger lakes is a must visit spot. The 5 course meal was tasty and fulfilling. All the ingredients were locally sourced and every server in the restaurant knew where the ingredients came from and knowledge of the dish. The restaurant is vegetarian friendly and their desserts are freshly made everyday with a small twist. I recommend this restaurant!

Flavors and booze from the finger lakes with a nice view. Cozy restaurant with locally sourced ingredients. Friendly service. The venison and Moroccan shrimp were excellent. Will definitely be back when in town.

I've wanted to try this place for awhile because I'm familiar with the chef. The food did not disappoint. Everything we had was truly excellent (steelhead trout, shrimp, and tiramisu). All mouthwatering. I do wish we had tried the bread, but next time. Bonus that if you're staying there you get happy hour pricing on drinks regardless of the time. Good local wine selection. Where it fell a bit short was service. The manager (?) was excellent and took care of us right away, but our server didn't know that and got to us after a long wait, yet surprised we had been attended to. We were there celebrating a special occasion and noted it in the reservation, but no reference to it, which was a bit disappointing.

Excellent food in a beautiful setting on the lake. Probably the best steak I have ever had and homemade gnocchi.

After a not so great experience at Sapalta, we were a bit rushed to find a place for dinner on a Saturday night, which is no easy feat on a summer night. Considering the yelp reviews missed the mark with Sapalta, we figured we'd take a chance on Blue Pointe Grille and as soon as we walked in, we knew we had made the right decision. Firstly the wait staff were so kind and attentive. I wish I knew the name of our waitress, but right away she made us feel welcomed. She started us off with a bread basket and we had a couple of cocktails. For an appetizer we tried the fried calamari, mainly because I'm a sucker for banana peppers (or cherry peppers) with calamari. The calamari came with a pepperoncini and caper lemon aioli, which it didn't need but it was a nice twist considering most places will serve calamari with marinara. For dinner we split a bottle of wine, and opted for their catfish special and their chargrilled frenched pork chop. I was advised that the pork chop was a large cut of meat and would take some time to cook through which was fine because we had opted to sit outside and were delighted to watch the sunset. The entrees were excellent, and came out quicker than we expected. Overall, we had a great experience. If you have the chance to sit out on their patio, I definitely recommend it as you'll get beautiful views of Seneca Lake, and the boats coming into dock. Afterwards, I recommend taking a stroll down the pier to take in the sights. I'm glad we ignored the yelp reviews and opted to dine at Blue Pointe Grille.

The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Our group of 11 enjoyed a beautiful sunset view, and we could hear the live band playing downstairs, which they have every Saturday. It created such a fun and memorable atmosphere while still allowing us to enjoy our conversations. And the food... absolutely amazing! We tried every appetizer and almost every main course, and everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and truly gourmet. Another fantastic experience from beginning to end. 10/10--we will definitely be back again!

We were excited to try this restaurant after the remodeling. We had been to the previous one (Top…read moreof the Lake) and it was terrible. So, seeing the updated decor and menu, had me thinking that the new owners are really serious about providing a fine dining experience to Kueka Lake. Evidently NOT. We went on a Tuesday at 6PM for our Anniversary and despite that being in our reservation notes twice, it was never acknowledged. Our water tender filled our glasses after 15 minutes of sitting and waiting with no greeting after the hostess stand. We asked her what the soup of the day was and she didn't know. Our server Riley B. Had no personality or personal skills. She did not offer any suggestions on drinks, meals, appetizers, etc. also failed to acknowledge our anniversary. She did inform us that they were out of the short rib. We ordered the crab fritters, mussels, and French onion soup for appetizers. 35 minutes for appetizers to arrive and the mussels were ice cold, shells were all cracked. It was terrible, ate about 2 each and sent them back. Crab fritters were ok, still undercooked in the middle, but we were so hungry we ate those. Onion soup came out about 10 minutes after and that was the ONLY item of quality. Our entrees were the Steak Frites and Alfredo pasta with chicken. Those arrived about 1 1/2 hours after we were seated. Service was terribly slow all night, as well as zero follow up, despite the restaurant being about a quarter full. Entrees did arrive hot, so that was appreciated. Pasta dish was not an Alfredo, more of light tomato pepper cream sauce. Steak was prepared as ordered, however about halfway through eating, I enjoyed a piece of jagged plastic that poked my mouth. That was the final straw. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the foreign object. Saved you a lawsuit, you're welcome! The new decorations were made less enjoyable by the constant onslaught of flies in the dining room, which we discovered was caused by your staff keeping the door to the deck wide open. The irony is there was no patrons on the deck, so that was an unnecessary waste of AC and failed sanitation practice. Our view of the lake would have also been better if you can manage to clean the windows once in awhile. Of course I was prepared to address all of these issues with the manager, but after asking for the manager and two servers searching for about 10 minutes, we were informed he went home for the day and the person in charge was the chef. In summary, the Main Deck is a pig in a pretty dress. Food is inconsistent, mediocre at best, service and training of the staff is lacking and poor. Standards in the back of the house are also missing, as evidenced by cold appetizers, slow arrival times, foreign objects in the food, and out of stock items. Would enjoy the owner contacting me, but I won't hold my breath. Do not waste your time or money at this establishment!

Came by for our anniversary dinner, overall had an OK experience but we'd had huge expectations for…read morethe place - which fell a bit flat somewhat. Let me start off with the positives: 1. The staff are excellent, we had a server who was super charming and checked in on us all evening. Easy process to book a table, helpful people all around. 2.The place itself is snazzy and upscale, but not excessively so; we enjoyed dressing up a bit for a nice dinner there, but didn't feel like the vibe was overly stuffy or anything. 3. The appetizer we split (mussels in a slightly spicy broth with focaccia on the side) was excellent. Easily the highlight of our meal, would order it again in a heartbeat. The downside, unfortunately, is that the main part of our meal was nothing to write home about. I'd found this spot online and booked a table for two specifically to really "wow" my wife and enjoy an excellent meal together, and was really looking forward to some good food after reading all the stellar reviews here on Yelp. It certainly has high-end prices for the FLX (spent over $250 for dinner for two, without a dessert or more than a glass of wine each), which in general I'm happy to pay - if the quality is there, that is. But our entrees were just unimpressive, and actually slow to arrive. Took them a solid 40-45 minutes to bring out our mains afterwe finished the appetizers, but worse was the fact that both dishes (rack of lamb for myself, and short rib gnocchi for her) were simply bland. Best part of my dish were the mashed potatoes honestly - the lamb itself was unseasoned, and the sauce was watery. My wife's gnocchi weren't terrible, but the sauce had an odd, almost burnt aftertaste that neither of us cared for. For a regular restaurant, with more regular prices and reviews, we wouldn't have minded honestly - but because this place is kinda marketed as one of the better restaurants in Geneva, and priced as such, having a bit of a mediocre meal left us fairly disappointed. Again, great service and fun spot just to be in, and _some_ of the items like the appetizers are pretty tasty (I'd happily come back for another taste of their mussels and focaccia). But we likely won't be coming back anytime soon, particularly as we live out of town. Hope it was just a fluke and that they bounce back.

And for the 2nd time (well, 4th technically - we came back multiple times over each weekend), we had a terrific experience. The staff are SUPER nice here. This time 'round we had Ellie as our server, who gave us great suggestions on the specials and main menu items - and also Justin when we sat at the bar on another evening (super talented drink mixologist). They're just really great at making you feel welcome, you're taken care of every step of the way. The food comes out quick, you have just enough time to relax and chat between dishes but we've never felt like we had to wait long - despite how packed the place always gets (popular spot, for sure). But yeah aside from the terrific service, the main reason we keep coming back is the quality of the dishes they consistently put out there. This trip we got to try the "Friendship Fries" as a moderately spicy, super flavorful appetizer, and then we split a whole branzino in a delicious horseradish sauce. And because we heard great things about their burgers, we came back just now for another dinner and split one of those too - predictably great, barely any condiments needed really. Juicy, well-cooked and tasty as heck. They have a super extensive wine selection from FLX, France, Italy and all across the U.S., but we tend to order from their cocktail menu - just tried the "Ship of Theseus" today. Unique flavor and delightful to sip on. We kinda wanna find another spot in Geneva just so we don't get overly attached, and end up spending most dinners here from now on, whenever we're in town. But so far nothing else has really come close.

5 stars for the service, 3 stars for the food…read more We visited for dinner on a Sunday evening and, thanks to our reservation, were seated right away despite the restaurant being quite busy. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, polite, and attentive throughout the meal, making the experience enjoyable. The food was good, though it wasn't particularly memorable or outstanding. We both love poutine. The fries was good but the gravy was a bit too salty and it definitely need more cheese curds.
