    Creepy "Chef"

Initially this place looked super cute & the food sounded great.. however after waiting almost an hour for 3 burgers and a wrap and watching multiple tables that arrived after us eat and leave, we decided to ask about the food. To which we were told it'd be right out.. The manager joined our server in bringing the food out and delivered us multiple excuses of why our food took so long including: there were big parties due to the eclipse, & also because we ordered burgers.. apparently it takes longer for them to be cooked on the grill. A simple sorry followed by decent service would've sufficed. The excuses were overboard and blatant BS. This would've all been okay if the food were at least good.. but nope, we get the food and the Tequila wrap that should have guac, tomatoes and salsa only came with lettuce and chicken & our burgers were overcooked and were obviously frozen patties. The server and manager both dropped the food without asking if we needed anything else. As we proceeded to try to enjoy our meal we were watched through the kitchen door by your "Chef" who apparently wasn't a fan of criticism. Not only is this super unprofessional but it's borderline creepy. While paying, the chef mocked us by laughing and acting like a belligerent fool while trying to send us off with chips. While this post should end here it didn't. The Chef went back into the kitchen and watched us walk to our vehicles through a window. & then came outside to continue arguing with our party of 4. This is by far the most disgusting and worst experience I've EVER had in my life. I served tables for 10 years and have NEVER seen a "Chef" or manager act this way. Neither one of these people are fit for the roles they hold, if I were the owner I would really sit back and consider who it is that I have running my restaurant. Photo of the creepy chef because it was too unbelievable to not capture.... Edit to add: They upcharge you 3.5$ or 8$ if you want fries or salad rather than the bagged potato chips they offer you. UPDATE: I'm not sure what your staff is claiming but we were a party of 4; 2 of which were over the age of 70. Why would I take the time to write this if it weren't the truth? I don't benefit from this at all. Was the 75$ we spent a waste? Absolutely. I wish we did have a better experience but I don't benefit from telling you what happened.. however your staff does. & I have no doubt that your regulars saw an angry woman in the restaurant whom they've never seen and sided with your staff who they likely know from the restaurant and area. Your staff was never threatened in any way and the fact that they're claiming that is laughable You say you reviewed the footage.. well, did you check how long it took for our drinks to arrive? & then our food? & rather than be apologetic for their mistake your staff was flat out RUDE, because I couldn't sympathize with the excuses she was giving especially being that I served tables for ten years. We were visibly upset about the wait, and instead of trying to fix it and provide us with a better experience, the awful service continued. Did you review the footage where I had to approach one of your 3 employees standing around to ask for mayo for my food because nobody spoke to us after dropping our food off.. Did you review the part where we had to ask for the rest of the wrap that was missing? Did you review the footage where I kindly went up to your staff and asked about the 7.00$ extra charge on my bill and was met with your rude and incompetent manager?? Did I eventually raise my voice after I was sick of our party being treated like garbage? ABSOLUTELY I DID. But never was your staff threatened. In fact for the last 20 minutes of our meal your "Chef" gawked at our table through the kitchen door and made an uncomfortable situation, worse. I suppose you skipped over that part of the footage which was way before things got out of hand... and then your "chef" slammed the door that connects the kitchen to your patio when we were standing there waiting for an older woman to walk down the stairs.. I suppose you missed that part when you reviewed the footage as well. & as for your staff "taking out the garbage" at the end of everything, that is complete bull and if you truly reviewed the footage you would know that. We were driving off when I realized your so called "Chef" was recording us and I told him he was weird. They were not taking out the garbage. They were continuing to escalate the situation. If you truly believe your staff did their best that day then I feel really sorry for you & your establishment, Your staff did nothing but escalate that situation in every way possible.. & if you reviewed the footage you would have seen that. In no world does it take 45 minutes to cook 3 frozen burgers. There was no wait to sit.. 20 minute wait for our drinks and for the server to take an order and another 50 minutes for sub-par burgers. Please, watch your footage again.

Loved this location and the gorgeous view! The food wasn't anything to write home about but wasn't bad either. Basically you're here for the view and that is definitely spectacular!

Fantastic experience! They were hopping at lunch, but Sue was an absolute delight. They were able to more than accommodate my husband's gluten free diet, bringing him a separate plate of bread to go with our salad and swapping out the bread for his sandwich. Magical view and great food!

Took way too long to get our food. My wrap was flavorless. Expensive for mediocre food.

It is a café next to Wagner Vineyard and on the same property. It looks inviting from the outside as its outdoor seating has very good view of the lake. We walked in. We were given the option of either indoor or outdoor dining. We went for outdoor seating. As we were passing the banquet hall/ restaurant dining area, I have noticed how huge it seems . Upon seeing event chairs properly arranged in the vineyard area, then I realized that they hold special events in this place. Our server was nice and very friendly She mentioned their specials for the day. I had the chef's salad and turned out that the added meat was free of charge as being part of their special for the day. My husband had a chipotle steak sandwich and included some chips on the side. The sandwich, as my husband let me tried it, was pretty standard in taste. What I love with this place , listed in their menu are placed where they get their veggies, breads etc. from. All ingredients used in their foods are local produce and fresh picked. A good place for lunch stop.

Actually really enjoyed all of them. I normally go for darker beers, but the peach blonde was refreshing and would be perfect for summer. To start we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which was OK but needed something crispy then pita. A toasted crostini was definitely called for. For entrées, we ordered two bistro burgers, which were both cooked nicely and complimented our beer nicely. Probably could've used a little more tomato jam, but we enjoyed our meal and the reasonable prices.

Moments after arriving he introduced himself by telling us how tremendously educated he is regarding wine. He told us he was an author and an expert on the region and much much more. And no doubt he is and provided a lot of facts and interesting anecdotes. But welcoming he wasn't, quite the opposite. He introduced the tasting experience by telling us that we would be able to taste five wines. I chose most of the ones he recommended but not all of them and commented that I was sure he'd let me taste the 6th if I wanted as every other place certainly does that. Not john, John was insulted that I didn't leverage his brilliance. Not only did I not get a sixth to taste, but the pours I got were half of everybody else's. A wine host should be friendly and accommodating and do everything they can to help you enjoy the experience, and recommend it to others, and come back, and purchase wine. Because of John's pompous attitude he failed on every one of those. We will not be back.

After placing our order we looked over a few table games located in the corner, could not decide on one, which was ok since our food quickly arrived. I tasted the soup and commented that it was excellent to the cashier and asked if they made the soup and got an awkward, no I don't make the soups, Johnny makes them. I was blown away from the flavor, consistency and presentation and just wanted to know if it was made in house. The soup was incredible and better than many fine dining variations I've tried across the country and abroad. The Haddock was fried perfectly with a light crispy coating and delicious coleslaw and perfectly cooked fries with just the right amount of tartar sauce. The Bacon Jam Smashburger was equally as excellent as the jam really stood out and completed the burger presentation. Lastly the Brussel sprouts were nice prepared, and spot on in flavor and presentation. These too were flavorful, and perfect. This entire dining experience was a joy and an experience we were not expecting, even commenting the next morning on how well executed the menu items were presented.
