We dined here based on the recommendation of a local merchant. The establishment is well appointed. Service was excellent. The menu is not expansive, but adequate. We ordered a Burrata cheese salad and Spanish tortilla w/cuttlefish. Both dishes were well presented; the flavor also met our expectation. While these dishes were considered "entrees" and not "tapas", they portions were on the light side. Overall, the dining experience was positive.

Tuna tataki with mango, avocado, and light wasabi sauce

Amazing fusion style tapas! We started with the bread with tomato and patatas bravas which were pretty standard. I don't recommend the smoked eggplant with Burrata-bland and needed more sauce. I really enjoyed the tuna tataki topped with mango and avocado and a light wasabi sauce on the side as well as the ravioli with mushroom and prawns. My favorite was the zucchini carpaccio with goat cheese and cashews-so fresh and perfect. Be sure to make a reservation because that's the only way they'll seat you inside but they do have two tables outside

Probably the BEST dinner ever! The food is impeccable, delicious and beautiful. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommended

Wow, this was the best place I've eaten in Barcelona. I found this place while doing some research on instagram and this place did not disappoint. First was the Burrata cheese starter (this was gastronomically MIND BLOWING!), followed by the home made ravioli (shrimp and mushrooms were cooked perfectly), and because I knew I wouldn't have a chance to come again, I opted to get 1 more dish (the deboned pigs feet stuffed with shrimp). Yes, I was being greedy but if I had the option, I would do a couple of stretches, a bit of jumping jacks just so I could make room for another couple of dishes.

    Amazing Iberian shoulder!

Awesome food!! There is pretty less to tell.. We tried a lot: zucchini carpaccio with goat-cheese was very very good, the creamy mozzarella was really good, the Iberian rips and the Iberian shoulder were awesome! Especially the shoulder was perfect.. The desserts (lemon cake with mereng, tiramisu decorated in a small pot, cheese cake) were exactly holy as the main courses! Very big compliments

Wow! By far one of the best meals we have had in Barcelona. Cute little restaurant in a square. Must must must get reservations though. (They turned us away the first night when we walked in without them.) Great, attentive service. We tried four dishes and all were excellent. We can't wait to come back!!!

Awesome restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the tomato salad as a starter. I didn't care for the sardine because I don't like breaded fried fish in general but it was still tasty and teriyaki sauce added a nice flare to the dish. Dessert of lemon meringue pie was also refreshing and satisfying. But do make a reservation here even for lunch. I was lucky enough to grab the only walk-in table.

Absolutely incredible best meal in Barcelona

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

After discovering that our first three choices were all shuttered, we ended up at La Pepita by default. Thankfully, it turned out to be a great find. We stopped in late in the afternoon, when the pace was relaxed but the energy still lively. The space had a fun, casual vibe -- the kind of place that feels effortlessly cool without trying too hard. The service was friendly and quick, and the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. We ordered a few snacks and drinks, all of which hit the spot. Everything was flavorful, nicely presented, and perfect for sharing. Even though it wasn't quite the dinner rush, there was a steady flow of people, which tells me it's a popular spot year-round, not just a backup when others are closed. Overall, La Pepita was a happy surprise on an August afternoon -- great atmosphere, good food and drinks, and the kind of easygoing charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. Would absolutely go back. 4.5 Stars

Our server, Amaya, was funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He took great care of us, and every single recommendation he made was delicious. The highlights for us were the Bacalao -- so tender and full of flavor -- and honestly the best octopus I've ever had in my life. We also loved the soft steak with duck liver served on a slice of French baguette, the shrimp skewers, patatas, and the Spanish ham with tomato toasts. Every dish was unforgettable. While all of the food was great, for me the codfish was hands-down the star of the show and probably one of the best dishes that I ate on the trip. The flavor of the sauce combined with the texture of the fish actually blew me away, and I can see why my server highly recommended this to me. Taverna El Glop wraps you up in its warm, lively atmosphere the second you walk in. We were a group of four, and from start to finish, we had an awesome time. The open kitchen is a great touch -- you can watch the chef in action, which adds to the energy and makes the whole experience feel more connected and authentic. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was on point. The paella was rich and delicious -- exactly what we came for. The patatas bravas were crispy, creamy, and gone in seconds, and the shishito peppers were the perfect salty, snacky starter. Of course, we had to get a pitcher of sangria (okay, maybe two), which was fruity, refreshing, and just strong enough to keep things festive. The space itself has this great, rustic charm -- complete with checkered tablecloths and even an old cigarette machine near the bar (haven't seen one of those since I was a kid -- aren't those banned in the U.S. now?). I don't smoke -- smoking sucks -- but it added a bit of unexpected nostalgia and character. Service was excellent. I always make a point to be friendly, ask people their names, and introduce myself -- and that's usually met with warmth. It definitely was here. The staff were quick, kind, and seemed to enjoy the place as much as we did. Personally, I loved it. It's the kind of place you remember -- not because it's fancy or trendy, but because it's fun, flavorful, and full of heart. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
