Sangaritas is one of my favorite spots for delicious food and great drinks. They have amazing service and I love taking everyone I know there.

Steak & Eggs

$30 brunch including entree and bottomless (mimosa+sangria+Bloody Mary? I think) anyways came here solo. Steak and eggs were really good. Home fries, ehhhh basic, more like simple potatoes. Sangria really good; only could manage two. I'm *slightly* a light weight. Little croissants came warm and sooo good. Will definitely be adding this to my solo date spots. I imagine bringing a friend would be cool too. Latin music playing, which to me is a vibe. Walkable distance from LIRR so always a bonus for me. Server was friendly and food came quickly.

We came here for a light dinner after an event and this review is just for their tapas since we didn't order drinks, entrees or dessert. It was a Monday night and plenty of seating when we came in around 730pm so we were immediately seated. We landed on a ceviche, Cubano sliders and chicken tacos - the sliders were decent but everything else was lacking flavor in our opinion, especially the chicken seasoning on the tacos. I've also had much fresher ceviche at other spots so this just didn't do it for me. I will say our server was excellent and everyone was friendly.... will maybe give it another try next time we're in the area and craving Spanish food.

My wife could not spend Mother's Day with our son because we were off in Seattle, so Bob took us for a makeup brunch in his Bayside neighborhood. We were greeted like visiting royalty by Juan the owner. I had planned on trying the paella, but couldn't pass up the brunch with its promise of unlimited mimosas. We decided, wisely, to pass on appetizers and get right to the brunch. I thought I was ordering light with a fruit covered waffle, but it was exactly the right amount of food. Two of us had waffles, Donna had avocado tostada, and our son had a croque monsieur. It was all excellent, and the servers were quick to replenish our drinks. Just enough room for churros with whipped cream and fruit. I dropped a hint that I wouldn't mind coming back for Father's Day.

Arrived here on accident. I was able to snag seats for two while waiting for my boyfriend. We each ordered a red sangria. Strong alcohol! I highly recommend it. We ordered their tapas (not the mains): chimmi sliders, roman salad, chicken tacos and tuna tartare guacamole. We enjoyed the salad and the tuna tartare guacamole. Service was good. They checked in on us despite how busy they were. Glad we checked it out!

I have passed by here several times but never actually went in until this past weekend. I was in the mood to get a quick drink and bite with my mom and boyfriend. We found 3 seats at the bar and ordered some appetizers and a small jar of peach sangria. Our bartender, Ricardo was super friendly from the beginning, he gave us mini samples of sangria to help us decide which one we wanted. They were all delicious but we decided to go with the peach sangria; I will definitely be ordering the blueberry one next time. For our appetizers, we ordered their Cuban sliders and an order for friend calamari. The Cuban sliders were packed with flavor and were a nice size to share. The calamari was crispy and came with several dipping sauces which I loved. They do play a lot of old school Spanish music which was nice and the staff is all so friendly. I will for sure to be returning here to try their dinner menu and order another pitcher of Sangria.

It's been a while since a restaurant hit the "trifecta," for me. Sangarita's hit it hard for us. Sangarita's serves Brunch on Saturday and Sunday's but we were interested in their dinner menu. I called to inquiry and the gentlemen who answered the phone was so pleasant and said yes we could order from the dinner menu and most importantly we could get Paella. We were greeted by the same gentlemen who answered the phone who also was our waiter. We asked for Sangria and was told he made in overnight and today's special brew was Guava. He asked if we wanted to try it first so brought us over a shot glass. Sold! We ordered half a pitcher which yielded 2 glasses each during our meal. They offer 4 types of Paella but none had all the ingredients we wanted so asked if we could substitute the calamari for mussels. Yes, they can do that. We were two people so were going to order the Paella for two. He suggested we order the Paella for one as it was a large size. Our eyes being bigger than our stomachs we agreed but also order the sizzling shrimp in garlic oil and a side order of Tostones. Let me say the garlic sauce that came with the Tostones was sweet and melted on my tongue. I could have slapped that shit on anything and it would have tasted marvelous. The Gambas Al Ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce) were served sizzling in a tapas bowl which retained the heat nicely as we ate the shrimp and dipped the bread. And dip we did, there was so much flavor infused in the oil I could have just eaten that with the sliced bread. The star though was the Paella. Served with shrimp, boneless white meat chicken, chorizo and mussels. Our waiter was right it was plenty for us with leftovers to take home. The restaurant is cozy with about 10 tables on the entry level along with the bar. Cozy yet still roomy in between tables. Downstairs is their catering area which I suspect they open up to diners when the entry level is filled. The restaurant has a gender neutral bathroom on the entry level and a men's and women's bathroom downstairs. Both floors were nicely decorated in what I would imagine a tapas restaurant might look like in Spain. This is definitely a 4.5 restaurant in my book, friendly waiter, good food, nice ambience and the price quality/quantity was good. For the two of us with taxes and tip it was only $55 each. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they did not scorch the rice at the bottom of the pan. The socarrat is a priced part of Paella. Even without it, the Paella Valencia was very good but if would be great if they had scorched the rice. With all the choices on Bell Blvd in Queens and there are a lot of choices, so glad we decided to eat here. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.

Went there today for a meet up with friends, and I've been here a few times before but today it was just different. In the past, my crew and I always celebrate b-days here for brunch, and the service is usually on point, but that's probably because we go on a weekday when it's not usually crowded. However today was a little difficult the service was a little on the slower side and the food was okay, even though this afternoon didn't hit the spot, I'll go back again because I've had more positive experiences in my past visit.

We went there for the paellas and they didn't disappoint. The flavor was spot on for both paellas but unfortunately, the chicken was a little dry in the Valenciana. Our server was warm and the food came quickly ...can't complain. In my opinion, the calamari could use a little more color but the light crispy batter made up for it. However, the best thing we ate were the stuffed mushrooms. They were deee-licious, I could go back and just eat 5 orders of that.

Stuffed Mushroom de Chorizo
Rossana A.

Food here is mostly Spanish/Colombian inspired. I loved my entree (pollo con champiñones). Never would have thought of serving breaded chicken with a mushroom cream sauce alongside garlicky spinach and fried ripe plantains. Very tasty. The mushroom and chorizo appetizer wasn't that great and arrived a bit cold. Their flan was too sweet. I could taste the condensed milk in it which I personally don't like and never add to the flan I make. Very friendly and funny staff ( Juan and Ricardo). It does get pretty loud at night. They have a more private seating area downstairs which is where my party sat.

Our waitress was responsive to whatever we needed. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but the food is great quality. My vinho verde was a nice size pour. My husband loved the Iberian ham here. We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. The table next to ours ordered what appeared to be a very good looking fruit cobbler of some kind but we were too stuffed for dessert. You can tell she genuinely cares about people having a good experience, and that kind of service is rare. Her gin and tonic was perfectly balanced -- crisp, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I've had. And the green tea shots? Dangerous in the best way possible. Smooth, flavorful, and way too easy to keep ordering because they go down so well. Joyce makes them with consistency and a little extra flair that makes the whole experience feel special. Food-wise, I highly recommend the pork dumplings -- flavorful, perfectly cooked, and the ideal pairing with drinks. This was my second visit to Salumi, and somehow they managed to impress me even more this time…read morearound. I came back specifically to try their special Oktoberfest menu, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. One of the things I love most about Salumi is how knowledgeable the staff is. They really understand the menu, the drinks, and the pairings, and if you're willing to take their recommendations, they can completely elevate your experience. We started with their signature Old Fashioned made with Noah's Mill bourbon. They actually tested multiple bourbons to find the one they felt worked best in their recipe, and you can tell. It was extremely well balanced. The dry-rubbed chicken wings were fantastic and are fried in beef tallow, which I absolutely loved. They're served with an Alabama white sauce instead of the typical ranch or blue cheese, and I thought that was such a creative and delicious pairing. The figs and burrata were another standout. The creamy burrata, sweetness from the figs and pomegranate molasses, and little bit of heat from the jalapeño worked beautifully together. The spätzle was rich, creamy and comforting with Gruyère, caramelized onions and crispy onions on top. Definitely don't go into it expecting American-style mac and cheese because it's its own thing entirely. The bratwurst tasted nothing like anything you're buying at a supermarket, and the latkes were perfectly crispy. Their homemade applesauce was honestly one of my favorite parts of that plate -- I could have eaten an entire bowl of it. But the absolute star of the night was the Jägerschnitzel. This is a crispy bone-in pork chop with mushroom cream sauce and roasted cremini mushrooms. The pork is soaked in buttermilk before cooking, and it was incredibly moist and tender with a perfect crispy breading. Easily one of the best pork chops I've had in a very long time. We finished with the Black Forest Mess -- whipped mascarpone, brownie and Amarena cherries -- along with an excellent espresso martini. They grind fresh Georgios Coffee beans and pull a fresh shot of espresso for every martini, and if you actually love the taste of coffee, you'll appreciate this one. Salumi continues to be one of those restaurants where the staff truly helps make the experience. Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for recommendations. They know their menu extremely well. If the Jägerschnitzel is still available when you visit, GET IT.

The table we sat at was quite large, and I think it could have fit a few more people. The staff was friendly, and the lighting wasn't too dark, nor was it too loud. While I liked the atmosphere, I found the food, or rather specifically the tapas, to be not good at best, while the main dishes were better but also ranged in quality. The fact that the tapas we ordered were pretty closely priced to the mains means I would recommend the mains only based on portion and taste alone. To drink, a bunch of us split a bottle of wine from their large and pretty reasonably priced selection. The first tapas that arrived was something that I could not eat. This was the Pulpo Zarautz for $32, listed as octopus with garlic and merken seasoning served over mashed baby potatoes. The dish was small, and people thought it was OK as they found the pieces of octopus a tad chewy. They liked the spices but were surprised that the potatoes were a bit cool. The $24 Gambas Al Ajillo, with slow-cooked prawns, white wine, EVOO, garlic, and mermen, was alright. There was a handful of shrimp, and they were decently cooked, but the "ajillo," or rather, the garlic, was very light. Therefore, I found it a bit bland, which is almost never the case for this dish. I wouldn't recommend this based on price and flavor. Last and least of the tapas was the $22 Tortilla De Patatas, listed simply as a Spanish omelette. There was an option to add chorizo for $2 more, which we did. Along with the omelette, this also arrived with a few sauces and some pieces of crunchy bread, which were the highlight, as the omelette wasn't good either. The texture of the omelette was very different than any other Spanish omelette I've ever had. It was quite soft with a bit of chew, with a mild chorizo flavor. Along with the greenish color, it wasn't exactly appetizing. I wouldn't recommend this at all, but thankfully, that was the last tapas we ordered. My favorite of the main dishes was the Solomillo & Pebre for $28, listed as skirt steak topped with parsley and olive oil, with hand-cut fried potato and salad. While not the most tender, as it is a skirt steak, it was still well-flavored with the topping almost reminding me, to an extent, of a less oily version of chimichurri. The potatoes had a unique texture, being slightly crispy on the outside while remaining slightly soft in the middle. The salad on the side, which also arrived with one of our other mains, was a tasty mix and certainly more effort than a typical salad you find in many of these places. We also liked the $32 Costillas De Cerdito, with pork ribs in beer, mustard, and rosemary with hand-cut fried potato and salad. The pork ribs were flavorful, though I did find a bit of it to be a bit fatty, but some of that is expected with pork ribs. The mildly sweet and slightly rich sauce paired with the pork ribs. The same comments from before can be made about the potatoes and salad. Last was the OK Paella De Mariscos for $38, listed as rice cooked with shrimp, mussels, clams, prawns, and fresh saffron. The portion size was good, with a lot of mussels and clams in particular, and a handful of shrimp. Of the bite I had of the two large prawns, they were plump and juicy as well. However, the rice was both a bit bland and a tad mushy and felt a bit overcooked compared to many other paellas. There was some socarrat on the bottom as per usual, which was the best part. It's a bit difficult to rate this place. The spices, textures, and flavors were lacking from the overpriced tapas, and I honestly wouldn't recommend any of them. For the main dishes, they were tasty, but you can get a better-cooked skirt steak at many other places for a similar price. The ribs were decent, and the paella was just OK. If we only had the tapas, I probably would be giving this place a 1, but for the whole meal, an upper 2, rounded up.
