Today was my second time here and I wanted to order something a little bit lighter and with less calories. I got the shrimp salad sandwich which was outstanding. I could tell the shrimp was fresh, likewise the lettuce and other toppings. The last time I came here so ordered the meatball sandwich and it was good as well, however it was a lot of food and I was practically falling asleep by the afternoon. The other thing is that there were more people working here today so the ordering process was faster. I had a kombucha drink that I purchased earlier and the shrimp salad sandwich made for a complete and healthy lunch. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and my lunch was perfect!

I've been to this sandwich shop multiple times now, and every visit has been consistently excellent. I've tried a wide range of sandwiches on their menu and every single one has been flavorful, fresh and a great portion One of the best parts of coming here is the atmosphere. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and it really makes a difference. You feel like more than just a customer. She always focuses on delivering great customer service. They also offer a selection of baked goods, and let me tell you they are THE BEST. The cookies and muffins are always baked to perfection.I would highly recommend this place!

We emailed months ago as requested and never got a response. Decided to give it another try and both of our sandwiches were wrong again. Mine was missing multiple toppings and had mayo added. We ended up just tossing the sandwiches and going elsewhere. For $15/sandwich after tax and tip it's just too much to have sandwiches with mistakes every time. Especially when some toppings are an extra cost and are then left off. If you try this place, I'd open your sandwich before leaving to be sure it's the one you ordered and isn't missing ingredients.

Quality ingredients and friendly staff. I had the roasted Eggplant sandwich and it was very tasty. I'll definitely be coming back.

For my first visit to Sandwich Republic I decided to try the Porchetta. This is a delicious sandwich, particularly if you get it with all of the optional toppings. It's pretty reasonably priced for the size and tastes great, so I'm planning on coming back to try a few of the others and see if I can find a favorite. As far as the restaurant itself is concerned, it's about what you would expect for a fast casual sandwich place. What really stood out to me though was how friendly and helpful the staff are here. The sandwich was ready in about five minutes and I left feeling really good about the whole experience. Thanks, Sandwich Republic!

I get the same sandwich every time - braised short rib. My goodness, this is a good sandwich. I'm not usually a sandwich person, but I finish this one every time (usually in two sittings). They are very generous with the short rib and it's just a very tasty meal. Highly recommend.

Glad to have found this place! The sandwich was so good, we went back the next day to try another option. From the moment you step in, you are warmly greeted with a smile. There are a lot of great options from hot/cold sandwiches, soup-of-the-day, and salads. The ingredients were fresh and the shop was very clean. We had the Reuben, Tandoori Chicken, and Meatball...which were all tasty and delicious! There are a few tables to dine-in and parking is a shared lot with other businesses. We will definitely be back...enjoy!

Brisket sandwich

The amount of meat on my brisket sandwich was extremely disappointing considering the sandwich itself sets you back above 17 dollars. Super disappointed/let down

Stayed at the Home Suites and Sandwich Republic was next door. Friendly service. I got the Italian and was very satisfied. The only glitch was trying to use the kiosk. It was flaky but I got it to work. The person at the counter was ready to take my order just in case. The sandwich was good. Overall, I would come here again.

On my way to Virginia from Maryland I decided to stop by Stupid Good BBQ for lunch on the day prior…read moreto Father's Day 2026. I do love the GAR brand. The place was very busy, which was good to see in these times. My daughters and I had the pull pork sandwiches, SG chicken salad, and some pork ribs. We had cornbread of course and sides were Mac & cheese, collard greens, pork & beans, and Cole slaw. We drinks and also had banana pudding to go. Everything was delicious the pulled pork was great and the girls added their favorite sauces. The ribs had the best smoke rings and were fall off the bone tender. They didn't need anything extra to help them. The chicken in the salad was moist and easy to cut. The salad was well balanced and delicious. The only thing I wish was on my salad was a boiled egg but that is personal preference. All the sides including the cornbread was flavorful and hit the spot with seasoning. Now it wasn't homemade but very good and worth the money for restaurant walk-in quality. The place even busy was also very clean and staff was working hard, very friendly and serviced us as soon as we walked in. The person running the from even asked for help at another register once three people were in line. Service being quality and as important as the quality of the food. A++ and 10 with two snaps in a circle. Go and enjoy.

I love me some BBQ & I love GAR group restaurants (Great American Restaurants for you non-locals…read morelol), but this one was a bit of a disappointment, unfortunately. DEETS: This is a counter-service restaurant where you place your order with a cashier, and someone brings your food to your table when it's ready. SERVICE: We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and it was not very busy at all, with maybe three tables occupied. There were several staff members behind the counter, but no one was paying attention to anything other than themselves or their phones, and they all had their backs to the entrance, oblivious. We waited & waited for someone to turn around, notice us, greet us, and be served. As for seating, we had only the option to sit at a table because all the open booths were dirty. The restrooms were not much better. After our food came out, they must have finally seen the mess because a couple of the crew members, including the chef, started cleaning up the tables. Great to finally see the place get cleaned, but the dining room should never have been in the condition it was in to begin with, especially with it so empty and the staff just standing around, oblivious, as if they had nothing to do... *sigh* & insert a big eyeroll! FOOD: Not surprisingly, the food was average because "you get what you give" and they obvi didn't give a.... We got a pulled pork and a prime brisket with coleslaw, and they were both a bit on the dry side and lacking flavor; nothing at all like the amazing pulled pork at their sister restaurants. The table had a cute wooden box holding a selection of sauces, but sadly, they all tasted pretty much the same. Surprise! lol As always, peeps, support your local small biz, and yes, I would possibly give them a second chance because I do love GAR concepts, but if I do go back, it won't be back anytime soon, or I may not go back at all and stick with my faves of their concepts that I love and know they work, i.e., Patsy's, Silverado, & Sweetwater. 5/31/26

My friend grew up in Nova, and his favorite KBBQ is Makchang Dodook. He says it's the best for AYCE…read morein terms of quality and price. I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.

They also offer butter and honey for your cornbread. It's a spacious restaurant and every table has napkin rolls/ sauces and they are very prompt cleaning tables. They have a nice semi-private side room for special occasions. This is a very appreciative restaurant towards military/police/ fire/ emergency medical response services. Being in a military family- we have always appreciated how much this restaurant does for the military community. You can choose to buy a plastic cup when you order your food; and some of the proceeds go towards a veteran program. This is the place where you can bring the family or dine alone. Pleased to report another noteworthy experience across the board ... bar, server, seating, starters, entrees, dessert (and one of the desserts was even sweeter as it was complimentary for the couple celebrating their anniversary) and our tab! We started at the bar. My Espresso Martini was (a little light but) enjoyable and my friend's beer was complimentary ... already a WIN in my book. The Ozzie rolls, calamari, lobster bisque, spinach-artichoke dip were satisfying. Our entrees were mostly repeats ... 4 people had salmon and the 2 remaining orders were the trout and crab cakes. No complaints from anyone. Brenna (spelling?) was gracious, entertaining and a joy to work with. Another HUGE selling point was how economical Mike's has remained. KUDOS to corporate for that! One minor complaint was regarding the 2 Mojito's that were ordered ... both people said they were a little weak (echoing what I said about my cocktails). Noted, but not a deal breaker. The good most def outweighed the "bad" during this visit. As for the parking, we forgot how much easier it is to park in the CVS lot and just walk across the street. I immediately remembered my old review. This experience was completely different. The curry chicken was tender and delicious, the jerk chicken was moist and tender with just the right amount of spice, the rice and peas were delicious, the cabbage was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the plantains were on point! I can't speak to whether the difference was because this was catering or simply how much has changed over the years, but I was very impressed with everything I tried.
