I would highly recommend John he's quick with repairs and very good with communicating and understand the issues with the PC. I happen to know a bit about PC's but was not comfortable doing this job by myself. Basically, I had an issue with an old AIO cooler (liquid cooler) that died on me after only 2 years of use. I was getting idle temps around 70-80c on my CPU. This job required removal of the old cooler and installing a new one. So I looked and called around for repair places that might be able to do it, but many stores I reached out to were not able to do this or quoted a pretty high price. I managed to find San Mateo PC Build and reached out. John emailed me back within a couple of hours for more details and what time he was available to make the repairs. I simply dropped it off and he kept me in the loop with when he started and completed the repair. He even ran some tests over night to check temps and ensure stability! The next day I picked up the PC and it's been working good so far. Overall I'd highly recommend John if you need a PC repair done quick and done well.

My partner and I hired John to build a gaming PC for us, and we were super happy with our experience. When we came to John, we had already purchased a few specific parts on our own, and we had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted the PC to look like and what we needed it to be able to do. John gave super specific and knowledgeable advice to us on what other parts to purchase that would fit our aesthetic and computing requirements. Once we had all the parts, John was also super quick with the actual building of the PC, and the finished product looks amazing, runs cool, and is everything I ever dreamed of. Overall, I'd highly recommend working with John, if you want a gaming PC that is more custom than what you can order online but you are not comfortable building/designing it entirely on your own. We are planning to build a second gaming PC in the future, and John said he'd also be happy to walk us through the actual building process, if we are interested in actually acquiring PC building skills/experience for ourselves.

If you are looking for help selecting parts or building a pc, I pinky promise you that John is the absolute best person for the job!! He is super communicative, extremely knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to answer all my questions and help build a PC that is exactly what I wanted. The PC building world can be so overwhelming, but John guided me through every step of the way and taught me a lot about how to achieve the all-white aesthetic I wanted, and how to get the most performance out of the PC. And, even when one of the parts I had ordered turned out defective, John was ready with multiple backup plans. The finished product is so beautiful and runs perfectly. It has been such a pleasure~ Thank you John!!

I was looking for help with building my NZXT H1 and decided to look on Yelp. I was skeptical at first but I believe in helping small businesses. To my surprise, I noticed a great review about his help with another H1 build. The build process was smooth from start to finish as John was also patient with teaching me more about pc building.

To keep it short you want him to build your pc in the NorCal area. He's honest and gets the job done right and will help if any issues come up after the fact! I waited a month to make this review my PC performs just as great as I wanted.

Before and after. Looks neat!

The screen had lines and would black out, making the laptop unusable. When I took it to the Apple Store, I was quoted $1,100 just to send it in for diagnosis, or $1,400 for a new laptop. I contacted two other repair shops, but they didn't handle Macs or water damage. Thankfully, I found San Francisco Bay Computer Services. They quoted me $467 for the repair, which included a screen with the Apple logo. I paid a 50% deposit, and they ordered the part, which arrived in just one day. I dropped off the laptop in the morning and picked it up the same day--fully repaired and working perfectly! They also provided a 30-day warranty on labor and assured me the parts have a manufacturer warranty. To top it off, I received a 20% discount on labor for my next visit (not that I hope to need it anytime soon!). Ed was responsive on the phone and texted me when laptop was ready for pickup. Their professionalism, efficiency, and fair pricing make them stand out. I highly recommend this business to anyone in need of computer repairs, especially for Macs!

My boyfriend was so excited to start playing "The Last of Us" on his PS3, but every time we tried to get through the opening credits of the game, his PS3 would just shut down. Devastated, he found Mobile Tech Solutions. We brought it in on a Saturday and they took it immediately. We used the Yelp deal and got $10 off, which meant the repair would only cost $85. Ryan was super friendly and chatted it up with us the whole time. Unfortunately, the PS3's motherboard was fried and it would cost us way too much to replace it (and wouldn't make sense to buy an entirely new PS3), so Jack from Mobile Tech Solutions graciously offered the option of trading in my boyfriend's broken PS3 for a refurbished PS3. Needless to say, I think he is going to be plenty busy killing zombies for the next few weeks! Great deal, friendly staff!

If they had said it would take a week, I would have been happier than two missed dates. Of course, I might have taken my business elsewhere, but they would not have a new 2-star revew. Amazing. He came over the next day and spent 3+ hours repairing my computer. He was very nice and went out of his way to explain what he was doing and he took his time making sure that he was really fixing the problem. Simply put, Gancheng is awesome with computers and he won't charge you a ridiculous amount of money. In many cases, he charges a flat rate of $50 for labor, unless a part is needed. Thanks Gancheng!
