I would highly recommend John he's quick with repairs and very good with communicating and understand the issues with the PC. I happen to know a bit about PC's but was not comfortable doing this job by myself. Basically, I had an issue with an old AIO cooler (liquid cooler) that died on me after only 2 years of use. I was getting idle temps around 70-80c on my CPU. This job required removal of the old cooler and installing a new one. So I looked and called around for repair places that might be able to do it, but many stores I reached out to were not able to do this or quoted a pretty high price. I managed to find San Mateo PC Build and reached out. John emailed me back within a couple of hours for more details and what time he was available to make the repairs. I decided to finally build my own gaming PC after years of using a laptop. I got all the parts from microcenter in Tustin to bring up and build. I had no prior knowledge of anything and spent hours looking up videos and tutorials to try and put the PC together. Finally, after 8 grueling hours, I finished(at least I thought I did). I plug the power in, go back to my tower and press the power button. Nothing happens. I try again, and nothing. I try all the basic stuff like unplugging and replugging things, making sure there are no loose connections, etc. but nothing works. I accept that I don't know what I'm doing and start seeking for help around my area. I stumbled upon this business and see that there are many pictures of PC builds and decide to shoot a message and ask for a quote even thought it is almost midnight. John (business owner) responds within the next 20 minutes unexpectedly with a very detailed list of things for troubleshooting as well as a quote for initial diagnostic services which seemed really reasonable to me. I ran through the list and let him now that I was okay with the price and that I would like to drop off my PC as soon as possible. After communicating throughout the next day, he said he could slot me in for an appointment the next day and we set up all the details. Although a friend ended up coming over and helping me basically rebuild the whole thing for it to end up working, I could tell from our interactions that John is very knowledgeable, kind, and someone who is very easy to work with! I was most impressed by John's knowledge, extreme kindness, and support during the time I received his help. I had a network / internet issue with my laptop for the last 2 weeks and finally talked to a computer service agent, who did not provide much assistance at all (but I expected that). This is why I was so grateful when I was suggested by a friend to reach out to John that same night because even though he mainly helps with custom PC building, he was kind enough and quick to try and help out literally every step of the way. He thoroughly assessed the issue and explained several solutions we could try to fix my problem, which he made easy to understand and follow for someone like me, who is not well versed in computer knowledge. My partner and I hired John to build a gaming PC for us, and we were super happy with our experience.
